The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter

Chapter 207: Safety of the Dungeon

Chapter 207: Safety of the Dungeon

But the hidden lore did not matter right now. He knew for a fact that the guy walking toward them was a threat.

So Adrian did not hesitate or try to talk.

He just flicked his wrist, and one of his spinning steel chakrams flew straight at the guy’s neck to take his head off.

But the dude did not even flinch or try to dodge.

The man’s physical body suddenly warped and grew. He quickly transformed into a massive, towering monstrosity. It looked almost like a horrific, unnatural genetic mixture of a huge ogre and a massive dire wolf.

At the end of the transformation, he basically looked like a gigantic, super muscular werewolf who stood easily over three meters tall.

And the exact moment the spinning steel chakram got close to his furry chest, the massive werewolf reacted.

Long, razor sharp nails violently extended out from the werewolf’s massive hands, looking very similar to cat claws but larger.

The werewolf just casually swung his arm and smacked the flying chakram right out of the air with his bare claws.

The heavy steel ring clashed against the hardened bone claws and bounced away. The raw physical force of the slap was so overwhelmingly strong that the spinning chakram just instantly lost its magical connection with Adrian’s invisible mana thread.

The thin mana thread just could not compete with that level of force. So the magical connection just got completely severed, and the chakram fell uselessly into the mud. It was a similar situation of fighting with General Vekar.

Adrian’s telekinesis still did not have the power to complete against physically strong people.

But while Adrian was genuinely struggling to match up against this werewolf, Sigrid was a completely different story.

She did not wait for Adrian to give her a signal. She shot forward like a bullet. She closed the gap in a second and shoved her steel sword straight at the giant werewolf’s chest.

And the beast just could not react fast enough to dodge the quick strike.

Sigrid shifted her aim mid-lunge. Her heavy steel sword stabbed brutally straight through the monster’s thick, muscular leg.

The giant werewolf threw its head back and howled.

But its survival instincts kicked in and it moved it’s body despite all the pain. Its massive clawed hands came crashing down in a heavy arc to crush her.

But Sigrid was already gone before the sharp nails could even scrape her armor.

She effortlessly dodged the relatively slow, desperate claw strike and stepped back a few meters. But she left her enchanted sword stuck deep inside the monster’s bleeding leg. The beast was slower than her, but it still moved fast enough to force her to let go of the weapon just to escape.

And then the hair on Adrian’s arms stood up straight. He could feel a violent shift in the natural ambient mana right around them, but it was all moving towards Sigrid.

He snapped his head up to look at the dark clouds that had electric arcs moving all over them.

"Move!" Adrian screamed.

Sigrid did not even look up. She trusted his warning and she immediately dashed hard to the side.

A blinding bolt of lightning struck the wet mud a fraction of a second later. It scorched the exact spot where she just stood, turning it completely black.

Adrian sucked in a shaky breath while his heart hammered loudly against his ribs.

And then he felt the mana shift again nearby.

And this time, he could tell that the was centered exactly around him.

He stared up at the dark gray clouds. He knew right away that he was totally screwed since he knew that he was not nearly as fast as Sigrid. And dodging a lightning bolt was physically impossible for him.

He also knew his third circle mana shield would shatter like glass against a high tier destruction spell. Even though he had his blessing from the dragon which increased his total output, he knew that it wouldn’t be enough. It would shatter instantly and fry him to a crisp.

So he did not even bother trying to block.

With no other option remaining, he used his ultimate trump card. He didn’t care about questions and being doubted by Sigrid and the others anymore. What was the point of keeping secrets if he’d just end up dead doing it?

So he just directly used dungeon link and went into his dungeon to.

His body just disappeared from the battlefield. A massive pillar of lightning hit the exact spot a split second later. It blasted a smoking crater right into the wet mud.

Adrian blinked and found himself standing safely inside the familiar stone room of his dungeon.

He just stood there in the safety of his dungeon, panting heavily. He quickly pulled up his system interface so he could visually watch the battle happening outside.

He watched as Sigrid fearlessly charged right back in for another brutal attack against the huge werewolf.

She gracefully dodged a wild, sweeping claw attack. She slashed her second sword right across the beast’s other leg to cripple it. Then she reached out and grabbed the hilt of her primary blade which was still stuck deep inside the monster’s thigh.

She yanked it out violently.

Hot blood splashed everywhere and the werewolf howled again. It stumbled on its ruined legs and desperately tried to grab her with its massive arms. But she was just a tab bit too quick for the beast to catch.

Adrian watched the screen, fully expecting another deadly lightning bolt to strike down from the clouds and target her.

But absolutely nothing happened. The sky remained completely dark and rainy, but there was no magic happening anymore.

So he just stood there in his dungeon and kept staring intently at the system screen. He tried to look around the surroundings to find the hidden caster.

Compared to the last time he used the system’s feature to look outside; back when he tried to escape from the Emperor’s spies following him, his visual range had increased quite a bit.
