"Okay then."

Instead of blindly giving the untested water to Serena, Adrian just took a little bit out from his dungeon and poured it inside a small glass.

His own mana wasn’t exactly completely full right now, mainly thanks to his Mana Veins naturally leaking out slightly, and he hadn’t completely filled his reserves back up using his dungeon yet. This actually helped him, as he had at least half of his massive reserves empty for the test.

He lifted the glass and took a quick drink.

The very moment the cool water slid down his throat, he could feel the raw mana spread out. It didn’t spread from his stomach like normal digestion. The mana violently began to spread throughout his entire body directly from his Mana Heart.

It was almost as if the moment the water got close to his Mana Heart, all of the magical energy got instantly absorbed, leaving only the regular water to hit his stomach.

Adrian could feel the massive surge of mana getting pumped all throughout his body, replenishing his vast reserves in a single second.

His eyes widened and he couldn’t help but mutter, "Holy shit. This is completely instantaneous."

He immediately brought out another small glass. He carefully lifted Serena up slightly at an angle and slowly poured the liquid down her throat.

Once he was done helping her drink the water, he checked inside her body once again using his mana strands. This time, he could clearly sense the mana flowing through her mana veins.

He let out a sigh of relief. "Okay, this is technically a miraculous drink at this point for mages. This isn’t just water infused with mana... this is literally the world’s most perfect mana potion."

Not long after, as Adrian helped Serena drink a tiny bit more water, she finally woke up.

She blinked twice, completely disoriented. She looked up at Adrian’s face hovering over her.

"I fainted, right?"

"Well, yeah, you did."

Adrian smiled and set the glass aside.

"And I also found out a little bit about this weird rainwater. It is basically an instant-recovery mana potion. Anyways, let’s get back to the summoning part."

He picked up the earrings and handed them over to her.

"Wear these earrings. These should help you out quite a bit with the distance penalty."

Serena looked at the dark jewelry.

"Oh, they look so nice and cute."

Adrian scratched his cheek.

"Well, they are just... I made them to be entirely functional. A lot of earrings for nobles are the dangling kind, but this one is basically just a stud. It is not exactly as pretty, but it is extremely good for combat. At least enemies can’t use it to easily grab you during a fight."

Serena just shook her head with an amused smile.

"They can still just grab my hair since my hair is pretty long, Adrian. In fact, it is much longer than any dangling earrings anyone makes."

Seeing Adrian’s confident expression instantly fall flat, she immediately leaned up and gently kissed him on the cheek.

"Don’t worry. I am not saying it is bad. I am just pointing out that you need to change the way you look at things sometimes. You think too much like a soldier."

Adrian didn’t say anything. He just looked at her and nodded defeatedly.

Serena smiled happily and put the spatial earrings on.

In his own mind, Adrian gave himself talk down.

’Don’t argue. Do not argue at all. Don’t dig a grave for yourself over earrings. A happy wife, means a happy life.’

Once Serena successfully put the earrings on, she completely focused herself. She reached her hand out toward the bloody circle on the floor and tried the exact same spell once more.

This time, a tiny, bouncy blue slime smoothly materialized right on top of the summoning circle.

Serena instantly got excited. She literally jumped twice right where she was standing before she reached down and picked up the small slime.

The slime just cutely stayed where it was in her hands before slowly wiggling forward and jumping straight onto the top of her head like a hat.

She looked at Adrian with bright eyes.

"It’s so... cold."

Adrian chuckled.

"Well, it is mostly made of water after all." he said with a smile. "At least the spell works now. And now that we know that it works, all I need to do is optimize this system even more."

He stretched his arms.

"All right. I will go talk to the Chief again in the morning, and then we can probably head out and explore the island."

Serena tilted her head.

"Head out? When exactly?"

"Maybe in a day or two," Adrian said casually. "I don’t plan on staying in a single, isolated place. I want to explore this whole island so that I can gather a lot more information. I feel like the best way of doing this is to go around as a traveling merchant and sell things."

He crossed his arms. "And before we sell things to these people, we need to find out the value of various goods. We need to know what has more value in the eyes of the tribesmen. Because one thing is for certain: the shiny things that we consider highly valuable back home might not be valuable for them at all."

Serena nodded agreeably.

"You know best."

Adrian just chuckled at her complete lack of resistance.

"You just agree to everything way too easily. Claire just fights me all the time on my plans."

Serena smiled in response. "She does bring up good points though."

"What do you mean good points? She literally told me that she would gladly jump in front of a blade for me if someone tried to kill me." Adrian said and Serena shrugged slightly.

"Well, I don’t see anything wrong with what she said. I am just a little envious that she has the courage to actually do something like that while I don’t."
