The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter
Chapter 474: Another Monster! But Is It Different?
"There is no point arguing with either of you. You both just gang up on me even when you’re not together..."
Hearing this, Serena’s soft smile shifted into a slightly dark, sultry smirk. She leaned entirely into him. "Well, even when we do gang up on you, you are always the one who wins in the end, aren’t you?"
Adrian immediately put a finger to her mouth.
"If Claire comes in and hears this, I won’t be able to sleep for the rest of the night."
"Are you complaining?" Serena asked, raising an eyebrow in response as she grabbed his hand and placed it on her thigh.
Adrian chuckled. "Just go to sleep, Serena."
"Make me~"
Around the same time, somewhere on the opposite side of the island.
Four knights stood stiff in pure fear.
Raindrops fell onto the ground. The water splashed mud everywhere, coating their boots and armor. Those same droplets bounced off a bald man’s head as he casually walked among the local tribesmen.
Yuusha crushed the heads of two tribal warriors with his bare hands and he didn’t even blink as he did that. He just moved on to the next one, killing every single person in the camp one by one without showing a little bit of mercy.
The four surviving knights just watched.
One of the female knights tried to lift her feet to run. But no matter how much willpower she put into her legs, her body simply refused to move.
The fear completely paralyzed her.
Just then, she heard the knight standing right beside her try to speak.
"M-"
Before he could even finish the word, a small stone shot forward through the rain. It pierced straight through the knight’s skull, killing her in an instant.
Before any of the remaining three knights could even realize what was going on, tiny stones tore through the air. Their heads suddenly had different sized holes blown right through them as they lifelessly collapsed to the mud one after another.
Yuusha quickly cleaned up the rest of the entire tribe.
Once he was done, he began to gather the fresh corpses. He casually threw them onto a massive pile in the center of the camp.
He looked up at the grotesque hill of bodies and nodded to himself.
"This is the third one. I wonder how many tribes this island actually has. And I wonder how many people I will have to kill to finally reach my goal."
He looked up at the sky.
The grayish clouds that he was pretty much entirely used to by this point began to swirl. They swirled in a massive circular pattern, forming multiple rings in the sky almost like they were circling right around his exact location.
A bolt of lightning streaked across the dark sky. It hit the ground just a few meters away from him. Then came another, and another.
But not a single one of them actually touched him.
Soon, the frequency of the lightning strikes slowly began to increase until it reached the rate of one lightning bolt per second.
And then it all just suddenly stopped.
Seeing this abrupt halt, Yuusha frowned. "Wait. What?"
He crouched down low, and with one single massive burst, he jumped high up into the sky.
As his momentum slowed down and he reached the peak of his jump, he looked down at the ground below. From fifty meters up, he could clearly see a massive pattern drawn into the mud using human blood.
It was a huge V inside a circle, with a perfectly straight horizontal line cutting across the center of the V.
But there was one single mistake. The rainwater had slowly washed out a small part of the circle at the outer edge, breaking the rune.
Seeing this, Yuusha couldn’t help but click his tongue.
He fell right back down and landed heavily on the ground without a single issue. Mud splashed all around him, but he didn’t take any damage at all even though he just dropped from fifty meters high.
He casually walked over toward the corpse pile. He grabbed a dead tribesman by the arm and dragged him toward the spot where the blood had been washed away.
Yuusha gripped the dead man’s forearm. He violently ripped the entire chunk of flesh right off the arm, leaving just the white bone completely exposed.
He kneaded the bloody human flesh in his hands like it was nothing but dough. He rolled it into a long, snake-like sausage and just casually tossed it onto the broken gap to complete the circle.
Once that was done, he looked back up at the sky and muttered to himself, "It’s a bit too late for fresh blood but since flesh does contain blood, this should work."
He pressed his right thumb directly into his left palm. He pushed hard, crushing his own bone and flesh until he made a perfect hole right through his hand.
As he pulled his thumb out, his blood started to leak and dripped onto the chunk of flesh.
After a few seconds, he faced his palm upwards. The raindrops that fell onto his palm mixed with his blood and dripped directly down onto the flesh sausage at the center of the gap, adding even more of his blood as it seeped into the flesh almost like it was magic.
Slowly, the gaping hole in his hand healed itself.
Yuusha chuckled as he heard the thunder roar louder and faster. Lightning began to strike all over the place again, aggressively hitting the spots that were tainted with the blood of the tribesmen.
He waited for over ten minutes, and finally, one huge, blinding strike hit the corpse pile straight in the middle.
Unlike before where the lightning strikes just hit the ground and instantly vanished, this specific one continuously struck the pile. It just kept going and going, bathing the camp in a blinding white light while Yuusha watched from far away.
