The Villain's Story

Chapter 926 - 926: Plot(2).

"So... what do we do? Were we called here just for this...?"

Sumi Kolt inquired, with a tinge of fear in her voice. She looked around at the table, at everybody, hoping to find one person to support her.

She was afraid she had angered Morgana with her sentence; after all, didn't she say they were called over for a trivial reason? In a sense, she did. She only realized it after the deed had already been done.

Everyone at the table, the strongest in the Obelisk, turned to look at Morgana. Upon seeing the expression on her face, Keith smiled.

"Oh no, darling. I've called you here to discuss a few things. One, I'm proud to announce that all my projects are complete."

A round of applause resounded from everybody except Keith, who just rolled his eyes. Morgana's projects were just her usage of Biokinesis to make anything she considered useful.

The Flesh Amalgamations were one of them, although the least important, but the most numerous.

"Second of all, we aren't so helpless, are we?"

She laughed out loud, causing a few members to laugh along with her. They were mostly the S-rank members. The SS-rank ones had grave expressions on their face; however, Keith remained stiff as ever.

"We still have all of you, and a few powerful demons that remain on Earth. Although the Association is plotting against us, we have our own mission."

She remained silent for a bit, waiting for everyone's impatience to reach the peak, before explaining.

"The Association will probably besiege Terra Damnum soon enough, I give it a week or two before an emergency notice is sent to the powerhouses, and a thousand ships will come knocking on our shores.

The Barrier around Terra Damnum will crumple into dust in front of the Sage, the Sword Saint will come to finish the Job, and the Dragons will lead the way. Harrison may even nuke it all to finish the job. Our job is simple: don't do stupid shit.

Let the Association shower itself with glory. Let Terra Damnum be besieged entirely; the Defense battle is to never escalate too much. None of us is to die, and the loss of our forces is to be at a minimum. The Demons agree as well.

Our job is to simply fake it, make it as if we fought hard to keep Terra Damnum; in reality, we will retreat after a while and let my experiments deal with the Association. I have a lot in store for them.

I've prepared a facility beneath the Sea, we will hide there and interrupt the missions the Association gave to the special awakened, but even that would be a ruse to make it seem we are trying hard to foil their plans."

She then explained about the Conference and the special missions Harrison gave to the awakened attending it, and information about the people who attended it.

"We don't have exact information about everyone, but we do about the special ones."

She revealed the missions of Alan Peccator, Elijah Ardor, Ezra Fornum, Amanda Wells, and several other awakened.

"Among these, we will interfere with the missions of some awakened. Elijah Ardor is to be handled by the Demons. Alan Peccator and Ezra Fornum are to be avoided. Alan's mission is bait meant to draw out the remaining forces of demonic humans in the States.

Those fools are basically salivating over the thought of a Dragon Heart and a Unique skill user walking into their territory. If they lose control and fight, we can just use it to gather information about Alan Peccator, for when we finally hunt him."

The people at the table turned their heads, confused.

"But I thought we were avoiding the dragons?"

A member of the SS-ranks, Jonathan Lent, a person with the powerful lightning attribute, inquired, confused.

"The blood of a frost dragon is the most precious to an Alchemist; the Heart of A Dragon is the greatest treasure in the universe. The scales of a frost dragon are the most mesmerizing... Alan Peccator is simply a walking treasure chest, one of so much wealth we can't even dream of it.

We will be hunting him. We will have an opportunity to hunt him, it will most likely be in Askolt. The Sage and The Saint will have to leave at one point; Harrison will be working them to the bone. Alan Peccator will remain in Askolt, working with the researchers to find a suitable method to block teleportation.

Askolt will only have Harrison and Alan Peccator... and we will raze that city to the ground to kill them both. All of the Obelisk will be involved in this operation. Our mission is to deal with those two."

Harrison Soubuelle was the primary target of the Obelisk; he was the thorn that they desperately needed to remove. The main enemy of the Obelisk. Alan Peccator on the other hand, was an individual the Martial Star, their boss, was interested in. As well as someone who had advanced through the ranks at a surprisingly fast rate, he couldn't be left alone for too long.

"How are you so sure Alan Peccator will stay in Askolt?"

Keith asked, being the other's voice. Morgana chuckled.

"A little birdy told me so."

"..."

The mood turned sour as Keith shook his head in dismay. The other members were confused, but nobody really had the guts to inquire further.

"Who will deal with the Association? And who will deal with the Dragon?"

Keith inquired, curious to know how the Obelisk would be split to deal with those two. Although he had an inkling that he would most likely be leading the team meant for Alan Peccator. He was well aware of the enmity and history between Morgana Cardaveres and Harrison Soubuelle.

Everyone else was curious as well, wondering who would be placed on what team. And some of them were getting excited. They would be struggling to control their demonic urges during the period before the attack, and when they could finally unleash them...

An entire city, the second most populous city in the world, would be theirs to wreak havoc upon! They could cause as much destruction as they wanted. However, some members wanted to be part of the team responsible for dealing with the Association. They, too, like Morgana, hated a few particular members of the Association.

"I, alone, will deal with the Association and Harrison Soubuelle; all of you, all of the Obelisk, will be focused on dealing with Alan Peccator."

Keith stood up, slammed his fists on the table, and roared.

"What?! You want all of us to deal with a brat? Your hatred for the Association can't possibly be that deep!"

Morgana had some special history with Harrison Cardaveres from their time as students at Shield. While Keith was unaware of the exact details, he didn't think the hatred between them was so strong that Morgana was willing to deal with the entire Association by herself!

This was the Association! Even if Harrison was a rank below her, Morgana couldn't be confident about facing the entire association by herself! This was the Association! Thousands of awakened officers, the best of the best, and the current Leader of Humanity.

But then, Keith came to a realization.

'... Biokinesis.'

Morgana's Unique skill was perhaps why she was so confident in taking on the Association. Anyone who actually saw [Biokinesis] in action was deathly afraid of it.

You could not afford any form of physical contact in combat with Morgana Cardaveres. If you did, your very biology would change. If she wished, she could give you every type of cancer there was; if she wished, she could cause your cells to implode; if she wished, she could cause your blood to clot in your body.

Biokinesis was the first known unique skill to appear on Earth, and due to the user, Morgana, it was feared by all who knew of it. Even powerhouses like The Sage and The Sword Saint didn't confront Morgana because of it.

If she touched you, you were basically done for. And to add to that, she had an army of 'experiments' at her disposal. Morgana had killed more human beings than any other Awakened being, and she had made almost every one of them into a 'subject' with the help of Biokinesis.

"I can handle the Association. Besides, Alan Peccator is the worst match for me. He has too much mana, can teleport at will, and is capable of insane long-range attacks. I won't be able to get close even if I want to. Even if I can disable his teleportation, it's close to impossible.

Which is why you all will be dealing with him instead."

Burney raised his hands, asking a question.

"I beg your forgiveness... although I understand he is strong, but all of the Obelisk against him? Isn't that... too much? Even if he advanced that much, he is still a kid with hardly any experience..."
