The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth
Chapter 291: Heart Dream Mirror, the Illusory Dream Wizard's Shock
Chapter 291: Chapter 184: Heart Dream Mirror, the Illusory Dream Wizard’s Shock
It was a good thing he was an Elemental Wizard; otherwise, he really might not have been able to take it.
CLANG!
The towering figure of the Divine Blood Wizard appeared in the deepest part, upon a massive platform connected by iron chains. Even the spot where he stood was fiery red, forged from a special Extraordinary Metal.
Beneath the platform was a vast expanse of spouting Earth Fire, surging and erupting like ocean waves. It flowed like magma; in truth, the long-term presence of the Earth Fire kept the surrounding Extraordinary Minerals in a constant liquid state, preventing them from cooling.
Wang Ya didn’t dare get any closer, because the temperature on that platform was truly terrifying.
He had to maintain his Particle Energy Shield at maximum strength at all times.
Even so, the scorching heat was unbearable—a true form of torture. His Physique was already over 20, even approaching 30.
No wonder the Divine Blood Wizard, the very initiator of the Wizard Technology reforms, hadn’t chosen to augment himself with Wizard Technology here in the Sword Mountain and Fire Sea. The heat was simply unbearable.
The environment alone was enough to make it a forbidden zone for the living.
Gazing at the burly, barefoot figure standing on the platform, Wang Ya felt nothing but awe.
“I need a liter of your blood. Make it quick. Instantly mix a little Particle Energy into it. It’d be best if you shape it into a Wizard Rune you favor.”
The Divine Blood Wizard’s booming voice rang out, mixed with the sound of clashing metal.
The Earth Fire erupted, engulfing the entire platform.
Wang Ya lost sight of the Divine Blood Wizard, but he reacted immediately, taking out a small, prepared Extraordinary Metal bucket from his red metal ring.
He swiftly made a light slice across his wrist with his right hand, and a large amount of blood flowed into the small bucket.
Wang Ya even controlled his metabolism to prevent the wound from healing, accelerating the blood flow.
GLUG GLUG GLUG!
Soon, a bucket of blood was filled.
Wang Ya’s constitution was still robust, and he didn’t make a sound.
It was just a bucket of blood. For a Wizard’s powerful Physique, it was no big deal.
As for the Wizard Rune to be shaped, Wang Ya chose the basic Rune from the Dream-Recalling Meditation Method.
SIZZLE!
The small bucket that had automatically floated in was tossed back out. The figure amidst the roiling Earth Fire was extremely busy, smelting various Extraordinary Materials and then pouring them into special instruments.
The sound just now was the sizzling of the blood from the bucket being poured into the instrument and evaporating.
“Another bucket!”
Wang Ya: “…”
His hands were still deft as he sliced open the nearly-healed wound once more.
GLUG GLUG GLUG!
Another bucket was filled.
His powerful hematopoiesis and his heart’s pumping replenished the lost blood at an extremely fast rate.
Energy is conserved, so what was being consumed was naturally Wang Ya’s internal Biological Energy.
SIZZLE!
Another bucket was poured out.
The Divine Blood Wizard tossed the bucket out and praised Wang Ya, “Not bad, you’re quick on your feet. Much better than that old fussy Illusory Dream Wizard. You’ve got some style.”
“Another bucket.”
Wang Ya couldn’t help but cough. ‘This is too fast, isn’t it? A whole bucket of blood, gone just like that? How much time has even passed?’
‘And I have to stay here for a month!!’
Wang Ya felt a dull ache in his left wrist, even though he hadn’t even cut it to let blood yet.
But for the sake of the Extraordinary Witchcraft Artifact… Wang Ya sliced his wrist open. With a ‘GLUG’, the blood filled another bucket, which was then taken away by the Divine Blood Wizard using his Extraordinary Spiritual Power.
SIZZLE!
The familiar sound echoed.
Wang Ya couldn’t help but swallow, his expression turning solemn.
“Another bucket.”
CLANG!
The small bucket rolled to a stop at Wang Ya’s feet. His lips had turned a little pale. ‘This is my blood, not cheap cabbage.’
‘The Divine Blood Wizard is really serious about this.’
He would have to stay here letting blood for an entire month.
He glanced at the figure bustling with activity on the platform.
Wang Ya gritted his teeth and started filling it again.
‘It’s just a few more buckets of blood.’
Wizards weren’t like fragile mortals who couldn’t handle losing a mere three or four hundred milliliters of blood.
‘With my Physique,’ he thought, ‘holding on for another hundred or so buckets would be absolutely no problem.’
He subconsciously fumbled with his red metal ring. Inside were the Recovery Potions and Azure Potions he had prepared.
…
「One month later.」
Wang Ya walked out of the Sword Mountain and Fire Sea, his face deathly pale. His steps were unsteady, and his gaze was somewhat dazed.
Many passing Wizards looked at him in surprise.
“Junior Brother, what… what happened? Your vitality is so depleted.”
Kelan Wizard was sitting in her office chair. She looked up in surprise at the familiar figure pushing the door open.
Wang Ya said with a hint of weakness, “That’s not important, Senior Sister Kelan. I have something else to tell you.”
A thoughtful expression flickered across Kelan Wizard’s face. It was actually about the legacy of a Level 2 Wizard’s ruin—that was an incredible find.
It would be extremely attractive even to Official Wizards.
Kelan Wizard looked in amazement at Wang Ya’s completely bloodless lips. ‘My junior brother is truly generous,’ she thought, ‘to reveal such information so easily and even offer me twenty percent of the profits.’
“Ten percent will be enough,” Kelan Wizard said with a faint smile.
“Thank you, Senior Sister Kelan. I’ll notify you of the specific time via the Darkness Mark.”
Returning to the Three-Layered Space, Wang Ya plopped down into the chair in his study.
After resting for a moment, he hurriedly pulled some blood-replenishing Extraordinary Items from a cabinet.
After stuffing a few mouthfuls down, the Particle Energy in his body began to recover. The mental exhaustion, however, would require a good rest.
But he couldn’t sleep just yet, because his own Extraordinary Witchcraft Artifact had been successfully forged by the Divine Blood Wizard.
