“I don’t suspect you, nor do I suspect the Oby Brothers.”

The three men on the ground, also regaining consciousness, let out a collective sigh of relief. They looked at each other, and saw the same thankfulness in each other’s eyes.

They were thankful that Young Master Sack hadn’t died at the hands of those Wizards, and relieved that they hadn’t been implicated.

The matter of a traitor was too serious. Most importantly, they were completely loyal and had done nothing wrong.

“Alright, all of you, come with me. Pack up your things. We’re leaving.”

The Oby Brothers executed a kip-up from the ground, rising to their feet in near-perfect sync.

Bowing, with their heads lowered, they cautiously followed behind Wang Ya.

Oby Gao used his Extraordinary Spiritual Power to converse with Victor, asking about the traitors and what happened in the subsequent battle.

“We were ambushed by other Extreme Wizard Apprentices and a large number of Extraordinary Creatures, including a Beast King…”

Victor said, “I was attacked by two Extreme Wizard Apprentices. They seemed to know a fair bit about me, had me completely cornered, and then…”

“Young Master Sack… he seems a little different,” Oby Duo remarked.

Victor fell silent for a moment before replying, “The Young Master is still alive. That’s the greatest victory for us. After an ordeal like this, with one hundred and twenty years of waiting all gone to waste, it would be strange if the Young Master *hadn’t* changed.”

“That’s true. If I ever find out who those attacking Wizards were, I’ll make them pay dearly.”

“They probably weren’t Wizards from the Outer Zone. They were from inside the Black Tower—people who have conflicts with the Young Master. The Young Master has already identified his targets,” Victor explained.

The Oby Brothers’ eyes glinted fiercely; naturally, they were thinking of revenge.

“Follow the Young Master’s orders.” Victor’s words promptly calmed the three of them down.

Only one or two stories of the Circular Tower remained. Its walls no longer served their purpose, letting the wind whistle through from all directions. Amidst the rubble and debris of the Circular Tower, the four of them found a few items of value.

Wang Ya, however, went to the very center. With a hard stomp, his Extraordinary Spiritual Power swept away all the surrounding ruins, debris, and dust.

This was a hidden door that could only be opened with Ten Thousand Tribulations Particle Energy.

It was also a basement, storing the Extraordinary Resources the Circular Tower had accumulated over the past one hundred and twenty years. Their value was immense; even an Official Wizard would be astonished to see them.

These were the resources Komore had prepared for himself, so that after obtaining the Black Sun Inheritance, he could return to the Black Tower and increase his Power at the fastest possible rate.

If he had relied on his clan, he could have achieved the same result.

But Komore’s pride made him disdain relying on others. ‘One’s own Ability is what matters most.’

Now, all of it had fallen into Wang Ya’s lap.

‘No, that’s not right. The narrative should be that Komore has fulfilled his ambitions: he obtained the Black Sun Inheritance, took the Extraordinary Resources from the basement, and is returning to the Black Tower to ascend to the pinnacle of the Wizard Path.’

A smirk played on the lips of Komore-Wang Ya.

As Victor watched the Young Master’s back, he felt a strange sense of unease for some reason, a sudden feeling of unfamiliarity.

He carefully recalled the events on the battlefield and the words the Young Master had spoken.

‘Perhaps I’m overthinking it. The Young Master has just survived a great disaster. It’s only natural for him to undergo a psychological change and become more mature.’

‘If the four Black Sun Badges were handed over, and if it was a force from the Black Tower, they would most likely spare the Young Master’s life to avoid making an absolute enemy of the Sack Clan.’

Victor shook his head, dismissing the strange thought. The fact that he and the Oby Brothers were still alive was proof enough.

The gray Wizard’s Ring on his finger had a vast internal space, far exceeding that of Wang Ya’s red metal ring.

Komore-Wang Ya packed all the Extraordinary Resources from the basement into it. Some of the special Extraordinary Resources even surprised him.

They were rare resources that could enhance one’s Extraordinary Spiritual Power and Physique with almost no side effects.

‘Life Fruit,’ ‘Xunyang Flower Dew,’ ‘Hellish Dogtail Grass.’

These were rarely seen in the Dark Land; Wang Ya had only ever read about them in books.

A smirk touched his lips again. ‘An unexpected gain, indeed.’

Suddenly, his expression shifted as he looked in a certain direction.

A powerful aura was rapidly approaching, one at the level of an Extreme Wizard Apprentice.

Part of the aura was very familiar—it was Qiudongqiu’s.

‘What is she doing here?!’

Wang Ya’s eyes flickered. He couldn’t figure out the other aura; it was unstable, fluctuating between strong and weak.

‘But it’s at least an Extreme Wizard Apprentice.’

As Wang Ya walked out of the basement, his gaze quickly fell upon a beautiful figure descending from the distant sky. The figure beside her, however, concerned Wang Ya even more, sending a tremor through his heart.

He subconsciously took a deep breath, keeping his own aura steady.

He began to prepare himself mentally again.

A second later, his expression and demeanor shifted. Wizards were all masters of deception, and he became indistinguishable from the real Komore.

The reason Wang Ya was so solemn was because the person next to Qiudongqiu was an Official Wizard!!

Gloom filled his heart. He had not anticipated this outcome.

‘What a troublesome woman.’
