There Must Be Something Wrong With This Game!

Chapter 251 - 16: The Students’ Victory

Based on the intel from the Maid, Glasses chose Lin Daiyu as his next target without hesitation.

Although the Maid had said she would be easy to deal with, Glasses sensed that she was no pushover.

Waking up Wang Yun and Pot Lid Haircut, they huddled together to discuss their plan for a good while, ultimately deciding to perform some Reconnaissance first.

Glasses shared the Fat Head Fish’s vision, then released it to observe Lin Daiyu teaching in her classroom.

Though it was a class, there wasn’t much to it.

It was just a cycle of having the students do problems, grading their work, explaining the answers, and then assigning more problems to be explained later.

The fundamental problems were still quite simple, and as someone who had been a proper university student, Lin Daiyu could handle them just fine.

Besides her textbook, Lin Daiyu also had a massive liquor jar with her. For every problem she explained, she would down a cup of liquor.

When she finished explaining the problems, the jar would be empty. She would then go to the dean for a new jar and continue drinking.

Her choice of snack was just as audacious: iron nails dipped in soy sauce. She would suck on a soy-sauce-coated nail for a bit to get the flavor, then take another drink.

Seeing this, Glasses thought this teacher had some serious guts.

After downing another cup, a drunken Lin Daiyu suddenly stood up and walked out, dragging her electric hammer behind her.

Reaching the restroom, she hunched over in a stall and violently threw up. Once finished, she wiped her mouth, staggered out, and began to spin the hammer in her hands right where she stood.

As she spun faster and faster, the hammer began to whirl on its own from the centrifugal force. Electric arcs crackled and burst from it, flying in all directions like bolts of lightning.

Once she was spinning like a complete top, the Heavy Hammer in her hand suddenly vanished, reappearing as a pair of bracers on her wrists.

It wasn’t just the bracers; her eyes now crackled with white lightning. She looked at the Fat Head Fish trailing behind her and sneered, "What little rat dares to spy on me!"

The Fat Head Fish was horrified and tried to turn and flee, but the airborne fish was a fraction too slow. Lin Daiyu snatched it out of the air and began to squeeze and mold it in her hands.

In its transformed state, the Heavy Hammer now possessed supernatural Attributes, allowing Lin Daiyu to physically touch Deceitful Objects like this one and knead it to her heart’s content.

One moment, she was twisting the Fat Head Fish into an "S," the next, a "B." The sensations were mirrored onto Glasses, making him feel as if his own body was being bent into those same letters.

After tormenting the Fat Head Fish, Lin Daiyu sneered, "You just wait, you rats. Daddy’s coming to kill you!"

Just then, the school’s PA system crackled to life. The dean’s voice came over the speakers: "Teacher Lin, please stop drinking during class. And also, no more talk about fighting and killing. It’s not a good look."

"Like you can stop me!"

She stormed back into the classroom, barked, "Self-study!" and then stormed right back out. She turned to the Fat Head Fish. "Take me to your master. I want to see what little bastard dares to covet my beauty and send you to spy on me!"

With no other choice, the Fat Head Fish could only nod and lead Lin Daiyu toward the security office.

It flew very slowly, so by the time it led Lin Daiyu to the security office, all preparations were complete.

Instead of a sneak attack, Pot Lid Haircut had summoned his strongest game character.

A six-winged Celestial God, suffused with Holy Light, appeared. The Treasure Sword in its hand blazed with infinite fire.

But one look at the Angel, with all its impressive posturing and cool-looking design, was enough for Lin Daiyu. She snorted disdainfully, rushed forward while it was still striking a pose, got it in a chokehold from behind, and throttled the life out of it.

Tossing the Angel’s corpse aside, Lin Daiyu said dismissively, "All flash, no substance. Listen kid, stop using these useless illusions. Give me a real challenge, will you?"

A familiar, jaunty tune began to play. A cage-like grid rose from the floor, and a torrent of geometric blocks began falling from the sky toward Lin Daiyu.

"Tetris? Now this is a little more interesting!"

Lin Daiyu’s Profession was a curious one: Bandit.

When she first acquired the Bandit Profession, Lin Daiyu had been resistant.

After all, she fancied herself a delicate maiden, the type to weep at a passing breeze. Becoming a Bandit was completely at odds with her disposition; it wasn’t right, and it shouldn’t have been possible.

But after being a Bandit for a while, she had to admit: the Profession was awesome.

The more wantonly she acted, the stronger the passive buffs from her Professional Skills became. As long as she appeared carefree and unrestrained, she could truly *be* carefree and unrestrained.

This was especially true after she obtained the epic-rarity weapon, Mjolnir. She became even more brazen, fitting the Bandit role more and more perfectly.

At this very moment, she unleashed her true Bandit nature, ORA-ORA-ing the blocks falling from above her head.

Amidst an unending cry of "ORA! ORA! ORA!", the blocks in the air were smashed to pieces. As the fragments landed and formed a complete line on the floor, they vanished.

As time went on, the blocks began to fall faster and faster. But Lin Daiyu’s punches grew faster still, until her fists were nothing but a blur.

Finally, with a soft thump, someone inside the security office collapsed, and the blocks overhead vanished without a trace.

Wiping the sweat from her brow, Lin Daiyu strode forward and kicked open the security office door. Inside, she saw Pot Lid Haircut, who had passed out from mental overexertion.

"So it was you! Be a good boy and go repent in the dark room."

Just as Lin Daiyu reached for Pot Lid Haircut, someone stepped out from the side and covered him with a tablecloth.

When the tablecloth was whipped away, Pot Lid Haircut was gone.

This was a Professional Skill from the Maid Profession: Maid’s Cleaning Techniques.

Anything covered by the tablecloth would be teleported a short distance away, but the skill could not be used to hide the Maid herself.

Lin Daiyu sneered at the Maid who had suddenly appeared. "Maid. What’s the meaning of this?"

"Nothing, really. Just having a bit of fun. By the way, you haven’t checked the group chat, have you?"

"Nope. Been busy drinking."

"Just as I thought. Well then, I’m afraid I’ll have to ask you to take a rest."

Before Lin Daiyu could respond, she felt a weight settle on her back.

Twisting her head around, she saw a miniature Fox Maiden perched on her back, flashing her a toothy grin.

That one smile instantly threw Lin Daiyu into a Charmed state. A succession of unbelievable illusions flooded her mind, and she was completely overwhelmed.

The Bandit Profession has few skills that resist Spirit-type attacks. Coupled with the fact that Lin Daiyu had just expended a great deal of stamina and had her attention focused on the Maid, the result was a direct hit from the Pruriency Fox Immortal’s control Skill.

To deepen its control over Lin Daiyu, the Pruriency Fox Immortal leaped directly onto her head, extending its influence.

Watching this unfold from his hiding spot, Glasses breathed a sigh of relief.

This victory made him realize the teachers weren’t so terrifying after all. As long as one found the right method, defeating them wasn’t that difficult.

Next up were Duan Someone and Jinghong.

’Those two should be easy to handle as well,’ he thought.

Flushed with two victories, Glasses’s mind reeled with excitement.
