This High Martial World is Too Crazy!!!
Chapter 93: Post-Battle Reckoning of the 9 Clans
Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Post-Battle Reckoning of the 9 Clans
Two shooting stars were streaking down from the sky above Z City.
No, they weren’t shooting stars. They were one and a half men, plummeting at incredible speed.
High in the air, Fang Can’s body became a living meteorite. As he maneuvered through the air, he relentlessly hammered his fists into Mighty King’s body with all his strength.
Mighty King tried to struggle, but no matter how he twisted and turned, he couldn’t escape Fang Can’s relentless combo attack.
He wanted to flee, but several meters of intestines—both large and small—had transformed into nimble whips, tangling around him.
At this point, Fang Can could perfectly control his meters-long small intestine, allowing every single section to attack independently.
The end coiled around Mighty King’s left leg to prevent his escape, while the middle section split into several steel-like whips that continuously lashed his body.
And this was just the most basic application of his physical abilities.
If Mighty King somehow got the chance to pry open Fang Can’s skull, shatter his sternum, and break all four of his limbs...
...then he would witness Fang Can’s head, brain, internal organs, and limbs—all connected by the small intestine—nimbly surrounding and attacking him as individual units.
Currently, the basic unit of Fang Can’s consciousness was one "brain."
In other words, as long as a piece of his body wasn’t smaller than the mass of his original brain, that piece of flesh would retain the ability to think.
’So, in other words, even if Mighty King suddenly had a burst of power, would he just be faced with more and more Fang Cans as he fought?’
He would be drowned in a vast ocean of flesh.
...
"Now *that* is a goddamn unhinged genius! That’s exactly the kind of person we need to recruit."
At the Dragon Group headquarters, Ji Donglai made this forceful declaration as he watched the live feed.
To have single-handedly created a technique so twisted it would belong in a horror movie... he truly deserved the title of ’unhinged genius’.
"You think he’s unhinged?" a youth standing beside him asked calmly, taking a small bite from an apple. "This is just a perfectly ordinary fighting style."
"And this *isn’t* unhinged?" Ji Donglai demanded, pointing at the screen.
Several other Dragon Group espers who had gathered to watch nodded in agreement. Anyone who could call this scene "perfectly ordinary" was a whole other breed of special themselves.
"Of course it’s not. It’s like a fish breathing with gills in the water or a bird soaring freely in the sky. For Fang Can, this is as normal as instinct."
The youth explained simply, "If a human saw another human breathing with gills or flying with wings, they would find that bizarre too. The only reason you think it’s unhinged is because you can’t do it."
"But he’s different. He successfully developed this function. To him, using his intestines like this is as natural as flying is to a bird. If you had this ability in a fight, would you restrain yourself from using it?"
"If Fang Can *didn’t* use this ability, it’d be like forcing himself to hold in his piss and shit."
After hearing the youth’s explanation, one of the espers clapped his hands. "So, what you’re saying is, he’s a natural-born lunatic! He just casually uses his talent and completely mops the floor with all those people who *try* to be unhinged but can’t."
’Uh, I guess.’ The youth scratched his head. ’Based on what we’re seeing, Fang Can doesn’t seem to think of himself as a lunatic at all.’
Never mind the discussion at Dragon Group. In an underground base in Z City, a man called the "Rotten King" watched Fang Can fight with his intestines, his expression dead serious. After a long moment, he suddenly spoke. "Hey, intestines that long and more flexible than an eel... his future girlfriend is going to be one lucky woman, huh?"
...
"BOOM!"
With a tremendous crash, Mighty King’s entire body was embedded in the ground. The impact blasted open a crater several meters wide.
Mighty King felt like his body was about to fall apart. No matter how high his defense was, he couldn’t withstand such a relentless assault.
Fang Can’s voice was calm as he stepped forward and yanked Mighty King up by the hair with one hand. He looked at his barely breathing opponent, and without a moment’s hesitation, smashed his right fist into the man’s cheek.
With a sickening crunch, Fang Can’s right hand sank directly into his opponent’s face.
Blood streamed down Mighty King’s face. After fighting for so long, Fang Can had finally made the "turtle shell" bleed.
One punch, two punches, three punches...
As the man’s skull was gradually pummeled out of shape, his face became completely unrecognizable.
But Fang Can controlled his strength carefully, keeping his opponent on the brink of death. He wasn’t finished yet.
In the distance, a pair of legs was steadily approaching. Fang Can turned to see his own lower body returning, its task complete.
He took the eyeball offered to him by his small intestine and gently installed it back into its socket.
Feeling his vision return to normal, he gave a light leap, allowing his two halves to reconnect.
The severed intestines and spinal column all spliced back together seamlessly.
With his body reconnected, the healing factor he had been actively suppressing was released, and he began to absorb the surrounding sunlight.
A tingling numbness spread through his body. Fang Can estimated that it would take about ten seconds for his body to fully fuse back together, and an hour for his shattered heart to regrow.
The wound on his forehead, however, seemed to be inhibiting his regeneration; that would probably take a full day to heal.
Rolling his neck, Fang Can looked up at the drone livestreaming from the sky. "Hey, is anyone nearby? I need a phone. It’s urgent."
Silence...
Seeing the serious look on his face, many onlookers recoiled. The man’s fighting style was utterly terrifying, and they were afraid.
But there are always those who want to get ahead. After a moment’s wait, a young man came sprinting over, running for all he was worth. Trailing behind him was a large crowd of others who had the same idea.
The young man hurried forward and presented the phone to Fang Can. "Sir, the phone you asked for. There’s no password. My name is Zhao Guang. It’s an honor to be of service."
"Mm," Fang Can responded flatly, taking the phone and walking over to Mighty King.
Looking down at the barely breathing Mighty King, Fang Can crouched. "Remember what you said before?"
Fang Can opened the phone’s dialer, punched in a dozen or so digits, and after a few seconds, the call connected.
"Hey, old man. Still alive?" Fang Can asked slowly, holding the phone to his ear.
"You damn brat! Your mother and I almost died, and you...!"
CLICK. Without waiting for him to finish, Fang Can hung up. He looked at Mighty King. "Well, what do you know. Looks like my whole clan is still alive. How about yours?"
He slid the phone over to him. "Go on. Call one of them. Your parents, your siblings, your wife, your daughter."
Mighty King didn’t answer, merely glaring at Fang Can with a look of pure hatred.
"Don’t want to? Fine, I’ll do it for you," Fang Can said with a smile.
An esper with luck-based powers can win a lottery with zero-percent odds, to say nothing of dialing a phone number at random.
Without thinking, acting purely on instinct, Fang Can dialed a number.
A few seconds later, a man answered the call.
