Chapter 130: Chapter 130 Lysander threat!

The dining table wasn’t that far from the kitchen, and shockingly, it looked completely different from the old-fashioned kitchen they had just escaped from.

The chairs and table were modern, made from expensive-looking wood. Noah could even catch the faint natural scent coming from the polished surface. The table itself was rectangular and large enough for everyone to sit comfortably.

For once, there was no chaos.

No one was there.

Not even Lysander.

Noah looked around, slightly confused.

"Where did Lysander go?"

Now that he was thinking about him, his mind immediately went back to what had happened earlier in the cottage corridor.

His face heated.

Damn it.

He remembered Lysander taking him there and everything that had happened between them.

And now that he had discovered just how terrifyingly powerful a demon could be physically, Noah couldn’t help but feel embarrassed about how easily he had let himself get carried away.

Lysander Valmont was a nightmare that should have been feared.

The man was Lucifer’s son.

The prince of Hell.

A demon with enough power to make practically anyone in the room tremble.

And Noah had still ended up sleeping with him.

Like some horny fool who had completely forgotten how dangerous the man was.

He covered his face for a second.

How embarrassing.

"Are you alright?"

Noah quickly lowered his hand.

"I’m fine."

Lamia arrived at the table at that moment, carrying the huge tray of food. He carefully placed the dishes at different sections of the table while everyone slowly gathered around.

Noah looked around, trying to figure out where he should sit.

Before he could decide, Killian pulled out a chair at the opposite end.

"Come. Stay here."

He motioned for Noah to come over.

"It’s perfect for you."

Noah smiled.

Killian really did know how to make him feel special.

He was just about to walk toward him when the other three Alphas entered.

Eugene.

Damian.

Marcus.

They immediately noticed what was happening.

For a second, Noah wondered if they were going to fight over where he sat.

Surprisingly, none of them interfered.

They simply watched.

Noah was almost relieved.

Then black boots stepped into the room.

Everyone froze.

Lysander.

The demon entered the dining area wearing an entirely black outfit. His long upper garment moved slightly with every step, matching the black pants beneath it. His boots shimmered faintly under the light, and his raven-black hair fell around his face.

His red eyes were the most terrifying part.

He looked like something that had walked straight out of Hell.

Lysander stopped.

Every person at the table watched him.

It was almost as if they were waiting for him to make a move.

After everything that had happened, nobody knew what to expect from the demon.

But Lysander didn’t attack anyone.

He simply walked toward the middle.

There was a chair positioned directly at the head of the table, facing everyone.

He pulled it out and sat down.

Then he slowly lifted his gaze.

One by one, his red eyes moved across every person sitting around the table.

No one spoke.

The tension was almost suffocating.

Eventually, everyone took their seats.

Rose joined them shortly afterward, although she looked deeply uncomfortable.

She had never liked Lysander.

Lamia wasn’t exactly fond of him either.

But after Lamia had explained everything, Rose understood one thing.

Lysander was protecting Noah.

The Emperor was already searching for him, and without Lysander’s power masking Noah’s presence, it was almost certain that the Empire would eventually locate them.

That didn’t make Rose trust him.

A demon was still a demon.

And not just any demon.

Lysander was Lucifer’s son.

The prince of Hell.

Trusting someone like that was practically begging for trouble.

Lysander glanced toward Rose.

"Aren’t you going to sit down, girl?"

His deep voice echoed across the room.

Rose shivered despite herself.

She quickly composed herself.

"I’m coming. You don’t need to ask."

She sat down sharply.

Noah, who had been watching, turned toward her.

He narrowed his eyes slightly.

That was rude.

Before Rose could defend herself with a gesture, Noah looked away with a disappointed scoff.

The atmosphere became even more uncomfortable.

Killian was seated directly beside Noah, close enough that their arms occasionally brushed.

Eugene sat about a meter away.

He kept stealing glances at Noah, clearly wanting to ask something.

The mate mark.

He wanted to know how Noah felt about it.

He wanted to ask whether Noah had noticed the change.

But he was afraid.

The incident that had caused the mark to behave strangely wasn’t something Eugene wanted to bring up.

And the fact that Noah hadn’t mentioned the mark himself only made his anxiety worse.

What if Noah didn’t care?

What if the connection had disappeared because Noah no longer wanted him?

Eugene lowered his eyes.

He couldn’t bring himself to ask.

Lamia eventually passed a silver plate to each person so they could serve themselves.

The moment everyone started eating, the sound of spoons and plates filled the room.

It broke the unbearable silence.

For several minutes, nobody said anything.

Then Marcus finally dropped his spoon against his plate.

"Okay."

Everyone looked at him.

"You know you’re all making this weird, right?"

Damian raised an eyebrow.

Marcus pointed his spoon around the table.

"I don’t understand what any of you want from each other. Eat and relax."

He looked directly at Lysander.

"I am not going to poison you."

Then he glanced at the demon again.

"And I’m not going to take Noah away from you."

Lysander’s eyes narrowed.

Marcus sighed.

"Can’t you at least pretend you don’t hate me? This is getting on my nerves."

He picked up his spoon again and began eating.

Apparently, he had only just realized that he had been monitoring Lysander the entire time, waiting for the demon to make some kind of move.

Lysander leaned back slightly.

"Noah is my baby boy."

His voice was calm.

"Why would I cause him pain? That would make him hate me."

His red eyes shifted toward Noah.

"I wouldn’t do that. Demon or not, I would never intentionally hurt my mate."

The moment he said it, several eyes twitched.

Marcus stared at him.

Damian stopped eating.

Eugene’s fingers tightened around his spoon.

Killian’s expression became strangely stiff.

Noah, meanwhile, wished the floor would open and swallow him.

Then Marcus frowned.

"You keep calling him Noah."

Everyone became still.

"I don’t know if that’s a mistake, but I’m confused."

He looked directly at Lysander.

"Isn’t his name Ashton?"

Noah nearly choked.

The food went down the wrong way, and he immediately started coughing.

At once, chaos erupted.

Killian pushed a cup toward him.

Eugene did the same.

Lysander reached for another.

All three cups appeared in front of Noah almost simultaneously.

They froze.

Everyone stared at the three cups.

Noah slowly looked at them.

Killian looked at Eugene.

Eugene looked at Lysander.

Lysander looked completely unimpressed.

Noah finally grabbed one of the cups from Killian.

He drank quickly and held his chest.

"Sorry, you two..."

He looked at the other cups.

"But I can’t consume three cups of water at the same time. I’m not a fish."

Silence.

Then Oliver, who had been unusually quiet after his earlier embarrassing experience with Lamia, suddenly burst into laughter.

"Oh, my fish!"

He laughed so hard he nearly dropped his spoon.

Noah couldn’t help smiling.

But then—

The atmosphere changed.

Oliver’s laughter slowly died.

He felt something twist around his body.

It was as if invisible hands had wrapped around his throat.

His lungs suddenly felt tight.

He looked up.

Lysander was staring directly at him.

Those red eyes were filled with enough murderous intent to make even a powerful supernatural being freeze.

"Don’t you dare laugh at my man."

Lysander’s voice was frighteningly calm.

"Do you hear me?"

Oliver swallowed.

He immediately nodded.

"Yes."

The pressure disappeared.

Lamia’s face darkened.

He slammed his spoon down.

"You know what, Lysander?"

He stood.

"Don’t disrespect everyone simply because Noah is your—"

Lysander’s eyebrow lifted.

Lamia continued.

"—baby boy. Oliver is important to us too."

A faint smirk appeared on Lysander’s lips.

"Important?"

He interrupted.

"How is he important?"

His gaze shifted toward Oliver.

"The last time I checked, he’s a useless teacher who should have died with the others."

Oliver’s face fell.

Lysander continued without hesitation.

"Noah doesn’t need him."

He looked around the table.

"And the same goes for everyone else here."

His voice dropped.

"So tell me, Phoenix witch..."

His eyes returned to Lamia.

"Who exactly is he important to?"

Lamia’s eyes flashed.

For a second, Noah could almost feel the magic gathering around the Phoenix witch.

Lamia stepped forward.

"He is important."

His voice was low.

"Very important to me."

He pointed toward Lysander.

"So mind your words."

The magic around him intensified.

"Or I’ll send you straight back into that coffin you escaped from."

The entire room went silent.

Noah’s eyes widened.

That was a threat.

A serious one.

Lysander’s expression changed.

The smirk disappeared.

The lights around the dining table flickered.

Once.

Twice.

Then—

They went completely dark.

A terrifying pressure exploded through the room.

Lysander’s pheromones surged outward, sharp and deadly.

The table rattled.

The windows shook.

Everyone froze.

Lamia barely had time to react before the force slammed into him.

"Fuck!"

His body was thrown across the room.

CRASH!

He collided with another wooden table in the corner.

The entire thing shattered beneath the impact.

Rose jumped to her feet.

"Lamia!"

Oliver immediately stood.

The Alphas were already moving.

Noah’s heart pounded.

"Lysander!"

But the demon didn’t even look away from Lamia.

His red eyes glowed dangerously in the darkness.

"Don’t you ever threaten me with that again."

His voice echoed through the room.

"Not even if you’re Noah’s friend."

He took one slow step forward.

"Do it again..."

The air grew heavier.

"...and I will kill you."
