Chapter 1623: Chapter 350: Midnight of Death
Teacher Prin left, and Father Strala had no intention of keeping him, not even willing to come out of the confessional booth.
Teacher Prin didn’t mind, he glanced up at the twinkling stars, which were dim and seemed to herald an impending storm.
This was common in seaside towns; perhaps a little rain would fall before dawn… Teacher Pru planned to visit the hospital once more. During the time before he left, he should be there unless something special happened.
He knew that tiny Life would be born in the next day or two.
When he stepped out, someone blocked Teacher Prin’s path, directly stopping him… Mai Rada.
“You’re still here, is there something else?” Teacher Prin asked curiously, as Mai Rada looked at him with a peculiar gaze.
Mai Rada said, “There’s something I want to ask you.”
“What is it?”
Mai Rada thought for a moment and said, “Your Force… your Force, it is related to Death, isn’t it? When those chains you broke dropped to the ground, all the grass nearby had already withered, even the ants in the soil died along!”
Teacher Prin couldn’t help but frown… not because he minded Mai Rada knowing about it, but because he was concerned that his Power of Death had already overflowed, and he hadn’t noticed.
He instinctively glanced at his gloves used to restrain the Power of Death… theoretically, these gloves should prevent the leakage of the Power of Death.
It seems, after the fourth explosion of the Power of Death, these gloves’ effectiveness had started to fail — so it seemed his decision to leave was correct.
“Don’t you already have an answer in your mind?” Teacher Prin shook his head, “Why do you still have to ask me?”
“Indeed!” Mai Rada suddenly rejoiced, hurriedly stepped forward with passionate eyes, “The goddess of Fortune has not abandoned me, I was always so close to my target! Do you know, I came here entirely for you!”
“Well… I don’t want to know right now.” Teacher Prin said airily, then retreated a half step lightly — mainly because the bald, muscular strongman’s concept was hard to reverse.
“Nether King!” Mai Rada took a deep breath, “Your Force, does it originate from the Nether King? Tell me, where exactly is the Nether King?”
“Nether King?” Teacher Prin instinctively frowned, even if he wasn’t a former theology teacher, as a unique individual walking between Non-Human and Humans, he clearly knew what the Nether King referred to.
Because most of the mythologies in the mainland were chaotic, and some were tangled and evolved, being referred to as the Nether King could actually mean quite a few gods — of course, being a Nether King naturally correlated with Death.
“I do not know the Nether King.” Teacher Prin shook his head, “I can indeed control some abilities linked to Death, but it seems innate, probably not as you said, derived from the Nether King.”
“Impossible! You’re lying to me!” Mai Rada was agitated, disregarding his powerlessness, directly gripping Teacher Prin’s arm tightly, “You must know where the Nether King is!”
Perhaps Teacher Prin truly didn’t know where the Nether King was, because he himself might be the Nether King — this thought flashed through his mind almost the moment Mai Rada recognized the Power of Death.
But in the next instant he dismissed it.
What is the Nether King?
The Nether King is the culprit who annihilated the Greek God System, the Ultimate Weapon created by the Underworld’s master to oppose Mount Olympus… the existence of the Nether King would only bring Death to the mainland, if Teacher Prin were the Nether King, reality probably would have long become the new Underworld!
Moreover, Mai Rada had seen the Nether King — when he first descended to reality with his clan companions, he had encountered the Nether King!
His companions died due to the Nether King’s appearance… though Mai Rada couldn’t clearly see the Nether King at the time, he remembered the feeling the Nether King left.
Ordinary Teacher and the man in black attire they met back then felt completely different.
So!
Teacher Prin must have interacted with the Nether King, consequently gaining a thread of the Power of Death — even a thread was enough to make Teacher Prin strong!
After all, the Nether King was the Ultimate Weapon the Underworld’s master created, making even the gods on Mount Olympus dread!
“I have no reason to deceive you.” Teacher Prin pushed Mai Rada’s hand away, fearing that he couldn’t control it himself, if the Power of Death leaked onto Mai Rada, it might cost him much Life… or even Death.
“No! No! No!” Mai Rada panicked, “Listen to me! I don’t intend to destroy the Nether King upon finding it! You don’t have to worry at all! On the contrary, my search is to invite it back! Only the Nether King can enable our Soth Divine Tribe to reclaim past glory!”
“… So actually, you still wish to obtain the Power of the Nether King.” Teacher Prin shook his head, “Hope the Power of the Nether King can fulfill your wish.”
“You don’t understand! You really don’t understand!” Mai Rada emotionally exclaimed, “The Nether King is an artifact left by the Divine Race, it’s a Force belonging to the Divine Race! No matter which side it belonged during the war of gods, what matters is now! Now, the Soth Divine Tribe! We are descendants of the gods, we are inseparable, whether the Sky, the Sea, or the Underworld’s remnants, we are already closely linked, only to restore the Age of Gods’ glory! Being able to use the Power of Death, theoretically, you are also a member of the Soth Divine Tribe! You actually have the duty to contribute to the great revival of the Soth Divine Tribe! Prin, trust me, you will become a hero of my clan! You will be the only child of Death!”
Mai Rada really tried hard to express himself, Teacher Prin could feel his urgency.
“Unfortunately, I have no interest in these. Moreover, my inner Death’s Force won’t benefit anyone. It simply brings Death without further use… if you’re looking for the Nether King’s trail, I suggest you should head to the Oth Continent, where Hades originated. You might also want to explore Ancient Egypt for clues about Osiris… they’re all Nether Kings anyway.”
“Dark Master!” Mai Rada gritted his teeth, “I want to bring you to see the Dark Master, once you meet it, you’ll understand everything, you’ll believe me!”
“Dark Master?”
“The Dark Master is the great being that survived the battle of the gods!” Mai Rada said devoutly, “The great Dark Master, unlike us descendants of the gods, it is genuinely divine from the Age of Gods! It’s a True God of the Soth Divine Tribe! It will guide us to the peak again, reclaim the Divine Nation from the shameless thieves of The Magician Association!”
“The gods died, and the so-called Dark Master survived, it’s truly not easy.” Teacher Prin nodded, “Alright, I’ll go with you to gradually meet this Dark Master… after all, I’m indeed interested in the origin of my inner Force.”
“What are you waiting for!” Mai Rada rejoiced instantly, wishing he could sprout wings right now, fly back to Soth Divine Tribe’s Old Cao, meet the Dark Master! But he suddenly remembered another matter, without power, he couldn’t open the channel leading to the Coordinates to the Unhuman Domain, “Do you… do you have the Coordinates to enter the Unhuman Domain?”
Teacher Prin looked up and down at Mai Rada, seeing the nearly two-meter-tall bald man so embarrassed he couldn’t lift his head, he slowly said, “I don’t have such things, but it seems there are some public coordinate passage stations in the current world. I’ve passed a few before.”
“You’ve never been to the Unhuman Domain even once?” Mai Rada said incredulously.
Teacher Prin shook his head, “I wasn’t interested before, and besides, the current world is still vast, with many places I haven’t been to. There’s no need to go to new places.”
“Then let’s go now!”
“Not now.” Teacher Prin shook his head, “I need to wait two more days before I leave here.”
“Fine! Two days is two days!” Mai Rada thought for a moment and said, “But during these two days, you must not leave me!”
“…Tell me about the Soth Divine Tribe.” Teacher Prin waved his hand, “And also about the Nether King, I need to go to the hospital now, so tell me as we walk.”
…
…
“…So, you’re saying that this Dark Master is actually a poor fellow sealed inside a stone wall, and you Soth Divine Tribe are just a small group being suppressed and hiding everywhere by The Magician Association, right?”
On the way, seeing Mai Rada almost about to explode with anger, Teacher Prin adjusted his glasses and said helplessly, “Hearing you say so much, I feel your Soth Divine Tribe is doing something without a future. Why not reconcile with The Magician Association?”
“What did you say!” Mai Rada nearly screamed.
Teacher Prin adjusted his glasses again, “You mentioned that your Soth Divine Tribe has already undergone a split, and some have merged into The Magician Association, with some even reaching high positions. I think these who left are quite foresighted, right? If the remaining members nod in agreement, the result could be joy all around?”
“Impossible!” Mai Rada angrily said, “The Magician Association only intends to dilute and assimilate our bloodline, to gain the power of the gods from us! The great power of the gods must not be tainted by mortals!”
Teacher Prin just smiled, “Let me think, if the knowledge I learned didn’t deceive me, then the gods you speak of from the Age of Gods were quite open…almost sowing seeds everywhere?”
Mai Rada was so angry that his whole body shook. If he had the power now, he would have knocked this guy out and tied him up directly to take him back home.
“Alright, I will still go to meet this Dark Master you worship,” Teacher Prin suddenly said.
Only then did Mai Rada’s mood slightly calm down, “I’ve said so much, now it’s your turn…how exactly did you get the power of the Nether King?”
“I told you, I had it since I was young,” Teacher Prin shrugged, “like a talent.”
Mai Rada sneered inwardly…Pretend all you want, when you stand before the Dark Master, let’s see how long you can keep your tough facade!
At this moment, Mai Rada suddenly remembered something that happened during the day—those paladins and clergy from the Holy Church who died.
Although he didn’t see who did it, he had clearly felt the Power of Death. Now knowing Teacher Prin also possesses the Power of Death, he connected the dots directly.
So, Mai Rada directly asked Teacher Prin, “By the way, do you have some grudge against the Holy Church?”
“No?” Teacher Prin shook his head, “Why do you ask?”
“No?” Mai Rada frowned, “If not, why did you in broad daylight harvest the lives of those paladins and the priest…was it to help that old charlatan Strala?”
Teacher Prin suddenly stopped—not because of what Mai Rada said last, but because further ahead on the road, a passerby suddenly fell down.
This person had just walked past the streetlight on the walkway and then suddenly collapsed—without warning.
“A drunk?” Mai Rada frowned…those who collapse suddenly on the street are often drunks.
“No,” Teacher Prin said, “he’s dead.”
“Dead?” Mai Rada was a little surprised but not alarmed…his hands had been covered with blood before, during the early days of creating the Unhuman Domain, filled with violence and bloodshed, “Dead is dead; what’s so strange? Humans are so fragile.”
But he suddenly remembered everything he had suffered in the church as someone without power, and his heart was suddenly vexed, and he fell silent.
“No, it is strange.” Teacher Prin directly walked up, arriving beside the deceased passerby and knelt down to carefully examine.
“Strange how?” Mai Rada followed behind.
Teacher Prin thought for a moment, “He indeed would die, and it would be recent, given his body wasn’t well, having heart disease…but it wouldn’t be today. His timeline has been accelerated.”
“You mean he was actually killed?” Mai Rada discontentedly said, “Just say it directly. Why make it so complicated?”
Teacher Prin shook his head, some things he couldn’t explain in detail to Mai Rada…not everyone, after all, had the extraordinary understanding like his new student.
“Look!” Mai Rada suddenly exclaimed.
He was referring to the front…on the road ahead, those sparse people walking on the street suddenly fell one after another.
Boom—!!
A car suddenly lost control and crashed into the entrance of a clothing store on the roadside.
“Who…” Teacher Prin looked surprised at the chaotic yet bizarre street, seeing people all fallen and dead, “is ending the life of this town prematurely…”
