"Don’t think so highly of Evan Fairchild. A man in love is unbelievably petty. It’s normal that you don’t understand. After all, not only are you single, but you’re also a virgin. You just don’t get it."

Silas Rockwell’s expression stiffened even more.

This was even worse than being mocked for being single!

"What’s our relationship? He can’t possibly be jealous of *me*, can he? Who’s a freak like you who gets jealous of everyone!"

"He’d get jealous of a dog, let alone a person like you! Just a friendly reminder, a joke like today’s is enough. Any more, and you’re on your own."

"You’re all animals!" Silas didn’t even know how to describe what he was feeling.

Melody Monroe and Evan Fairchild came out together and asked Jasper Rockwell, who was up ahead, "Why haven’t we seen Mr. Langdon? Didn’t you invite him to your victory party?"

"We already talked about it. He probably left early because he was upset about losing to me."

"No way. Mr. Langdon isn’t that petty. There must be another reason, right?" Melody Monroe didn’t believe Jasper Rockwell.

"How would you know what he’s thinking? Do you know him that well? You just worked on one movie together—are you really that close?" Evan Fairchild fired off a series of questions.

Melody Monroe was left speechless.

Silas Rockwell had just walked back over when he heard Evan Fairchild’s voice.

’Man, that last sentence was dripping with jealousy. Just how possessive can he be?’

’I mean, Melody Monroe and Zane Langdon were an on-screen couple, after all. Evan Fairchild just has a tabloid relationship with her for now, and they secretly got married without anyone knowing.’

Jasper Rockwell booked a restaurant, and the group headed over together.

"After dinner, you guys want to go out and have some fun?" he asked the group.

"No!"

Evan Fairchild and Silas Rockwell refused in unison, without a moment’s hesitation.

Melody Monroe shrugged. It wasn’t her place to say anything right now.

Evan Fairchild and Melody Monroe’s relationship wasn’t public. Not even the Fairchild Family knew about it, and Silas Rockwell and Shawn Fisher wouldn’t dare say a word.

However, with the scandal blowing up like this, there was no way the Fairchild Family didn’t know.

It wasn’t as if Evan Fairchild was a stranger to scandals, but for one to last this long—and for them to be spotted together twice—was unprecedented.

Silas Rockwell felt like he had really screwed up today.

"Second Young Master, the Fairchild family’s Second Master is here. He’s playing chess with Mr. Rockwell."

He and Elliot Fairchild were both the second sons of their respective families, but they were a generation apart. When Silas saw Elliot, he had to respectfully call him "Second Uncle."

As he walked inside, he saw the two of them in the middle of a chess game.

Although Mr. Rockwell was elderly, he was in excellent physical condition. Despite his full head of white hair, his face was ruddy and he was full of vigor.

Elliot Fairchild, now over forty, exuded the charisma of a mature man.

"Grandpa," Silas Rockwell said, stepping forward. Then he turned to the man sitting across from Mr. Rockwell. "Second Uncle."

"You’re back? Where’s that kid, Jasper?" Elliot Fairchild asked with a smile.

"Him? I kicked him out of the house!"
