"Ms. Monroe, do you feel like anything isn’t quite right?"

"You don’t have to call me Ms. Monroe. You can just call me Melody." Melody really wasn’t used to the formal title.

Seeing how easygoing and down-to-earth Melody was, the two women relaxed a bit.

"Luna, is the waist too big?"

"Let’s tie the sash a bit tighter and see."

Melody stood there like a patient mannequin, letting the two women help her try on one costume after another.

With an expert eye, the two women pointed out the imperfections in each costume. It looked like they would need more alterations.

By the time they had tried on all the costumes, two hours had passed.

Talia Mercer brought in some fruit and water. "Melody, have something to eat."

"Yes! I’m seriously starving." Melody eagerly took the food and began popping one piece of fruit after another into her mouth.

Talia Mercer had also thoughtfully prepared milk tea and pastries for the two women.

After they had a quick bite to tide them over, Claire took out a small notebook, its pages filled with dense script.

"Miss Monroe, we’d like to go straight into shooting the character stills next. We’ll have to ask you to bear with us a little longer."

"That’s no problem! I’ll work around your schedule. I’m flexible."

"Please take a look and decide which costumes to use for the stills. We need one for each period: her time as a Princess, her return to the palace, and her time in power."

Melody put down her cup of water and picked out three costumes.

’Every single one of these is drop-dead gorgeous! I love them all. When filming is over, I’m going to keep every single costume.’

After making her selections, Melody emerged wearing one of the costumes.

The makeup and hairstyling team was waiting for her outside.

Talia Mercer immediately took out Melody’s makeup case and placed it on the table.

Zane Langdon also emerged in costume. While Melody’s character had a childhood period in the story, Zane was cast to play the adult role from the start. From his very first scene, he was already the emperor of Cygnus.

So, his costume was an ornate, wide-sleeved black robe.

The costume weighed over six pounds and consisted of four layers. It also came with a crown. The robes and their embellishments alone weighed well over ten pounds.

"Mr. Langdon, I almost didn’t recognize you in that costume."

"I’ve done historical dramas before, and the craftsmanship of these costumes is far superior to what I wore on my last project." Even Zane Langdon was full of praise.

"Wearing this really makes you feel like you’ve traveled back in time."

"Your costume is beautiful." ’And it’s even more beautiful on you.’

"I agree. Every one of them is stunning," Melody said, running a hand over the comfortable fabric of her costume. ’Thankfully, this one is made of a lightweight material, so it isn’t heavy at all.’

The makeup artist brought out an exquisite, antique-style box. It opened up to reveal four tiers on each side, with each tier containing two small compartments.

In every compartment was a complete set of jewelry.

After carefully checking the labels, the makeup artist took out the matching set of jewelry.

Once her makeup was done, Melody stood in front of the mirror, looking at her reflection.

"I was still seeing you as Willow Lynch, but this just completely transformed you! Melody, you look absolutely stunning in a historical costume!" Talia Mercer couldn’t help but exclaim.

"Alright, we’re all set. Let’s go shoot the first set of character stills."

Melody surreptitiously pulled out her phone, snapped a selfie, and sent it to Evan Fairchild.

Evan Fairchild was buried in the documents he was holding, a video conference live on his computer screen.
