Transmigrated as the Villain Boss's Precious Darling
Chapter 745: Crippled and Deficient
Madman handled the hospital admission procedures and, with Will’s help, got his friend settled in. He had wanted to try and talk some sense into his friend, but after a shot of Demerol, the man fell into a quiet sleep.
The skinny girl wiped her tears and knelt before Madman in the hospital room. "Uncle Ye, thank you."
"Get up, get up. Your dad’s my friend. There’s no need to thank me."
Madman helped the girl to her feet and looked at his terribly frail friend on the bed. A wave of bitterness washed over him. He remembered how strong the man used to be—he could flatten an enemy’s skull with a single punch, ate a huge basin of rice at every meal, and had incredible strength. Who would have thought he’d end up like this?
’I should have come sooner,’ he thought. ’Maybe my brother wouldn’t have gotten this sick. Maybe he could have survived.’
A nurse came in to take the patient’s temperature. Madman had a flash of inspiration and showed her Rosalind Green’s prescription slip. "Miss, could you do me a favor and tell me what these words say?"
"Whose slip is this?" the nurse asked, looking at Madman warily.
"It’s my wife’s. She told me to come to the hospital to pick up her medicine, and I’m afraid of getting it wrong. I can’t read, you see," Madman said without batting an eye. Beside him, Will’s eyes nearly popped out of his head.
’Wife?’
’Since when did he have a sister-in-law?’
The nurse’s suspicions were dispelled. She read from the prescription slip, "Rosalind Green. That’s your wife’s name, right?"
"Yes, yes, that’s the name! Rosalind Green," Madman confirmed eagerly, then added with a flourish, "A name as elegant and gentle as the lady herself." He instinctively felt that a peerless beauty like her deserved nothing less.
"That’s right. Take this prescription and go get the medicine."
The nurse’s gaze grew even more suspicious. He sounded quite eloquent for someone who claimed to be illiterate. But she didn’t dwell on it. After taking the temperature, she moved on to the next room.
Madman grinned. ’The name is exactly what I imagined,’ he thought. ’This must be a match made in heaven!’
Will couldn’t hold it in any longer. "Boss, who is this ’wife’ of yours? How come I’ve never heard of her?"
"Rosalind Green. This one."
Madman flicked the prescription slip, then folded it carefully and stuffed it into his pocket. ’I’ll have to put this away safely when I get back,’ he thought. ’This is a token of love between me and my beauty.’
Will was now completely baffled. "Who’s Rosalind Green? Boss, when did you meet her? What does she look like? What does she do? How old is she? Does she have a big ass?"
The questions tumbled out one after another, but the one Will cared about most was her ass. This was directly related to the critical matter of the boss’s family line. The boss’s... *ability* was already lacking, so he absolutely had to find some "fertile ground." If he found a "barren field" instead, and with the boss being the way he was, wouldn’t that just be a match made in hell?
"Get lost!"
Madman felt the urge to punch someone whenever he heard the word "ass." ’Why does he have to be so crude about such a beautiful woman?’ he fumed. ’All Will sees is asses. What’s so beautiful about an ass the size of a millstone? You might as well marry a sow!’
Will rubbed his nose and grinned cheekily, shamelessly pestering for more details. Madman wasn’t truly angry; besides, he had a job for Will.
"I need you to have someone find out where your sister-in-law lives. Her name is Rosalind Green, she’s in her early thirties, and she’s as beautiful as Helen of Troy... no, more beautiful than Helen of Troy. She sways like a willow, with a face that could launch a thousand ships, outshine the moon, and put flowers to shame... basically, she’s a peerless beauty. She’s a local from Tristone, so she should be living nearby."
Will’s heart sank the moment he heard "early thirties." All that stuff about outshining the moon and putting flowers to shame was meaningless. ’The boss has been completely bewitched by a pretty face,’ he thought.
"Boss, a woman in her thirties has probably been married and had kids already."
Will didn’t want his boss to get saddled with "used goods." The boss deserved better than that.
Madman shot him an irritated glare. "Did I say she was some young, unmarried maiden? Her son is already about ten years old! So what? When I want a woman, I don’t give a damn if she’s married to the Emperor himself!"
