Chapter 649: Chapter 648: Meeting Ferman

If the people living inside were reasonable and took care of Treyton’s property, then it’s actually good as they don’t need to clean it up themselves.

Such a large area also required cleaning for it to look good, so if those people living inside actually took care of those chores, then it’s good.

They only planned to rest in the mansion for a day or two before traveling again, so as long as the people they met are people that could properly communicate, then there won’t be any problem with them.

Treyton doesn’t even talk about his properties that were scattered throughout the country, knowing that most of those properties were already useless to him because he couldn’t use any of them with the sudden appearance of zombies.

Treyton surely doesn’t care if people are living in his several properties because he wasn’t able to use any of them at all, but they’re still his property, so of course it’s good to use it if they could. If not, then it also doesn’t matter.

Luciel had known him since his arrival, so he certainly understands Treyton’s attitude towards his properties.

Nathan and the others were certainly aware of it, as they had been friends for a long time, that’s why they’re only hoping that its beauty wasn’t destroyed by those who were using it, and they weren’t indignant that someone was already using it.

They continued driving, and they finally saw the entrance of Treyton’s property.

The gates were tall enough, and then the fences around it extend around the whole property, so they were actually seeing Treyton’s property a while ago, but they could only see the tall metal fences and the trees inside.

There’s also 2 tall trees near the gate which had been blocking their view, so Luciel and the others couldn’t see the structure of the mansion at all while they’re still far.

When they’re finally at the entrance, they could finally see what the mansion looked like through the metal gates.

Treyton’s mansion was obviously big and wide, and from outside, it’s obvious that it had a lot of rooms in it.

The mansion also looked good as the design was for a modern mansion, and Luciel could see that they really spent a lot because the second and third floors have a lot of windows, and it seems that all of those windows are bulletproof if what Nathan said was true.

As for the surroundings, it looks like those inside had also been cleaning a bit because at least the grasses around didn’t grow too wildly, so it still looked good.

He also couldn’t see any current damage outside, but of course they still had to see if the things inside were okay.

Jacob and Nate stopped their RVs in front of the gate, and before they stopped, Jacob even sounded the horn a bit to signal the people inside.

It’s currently quiet around them, so those inside had certainly heard their cars coming, but they just didn’t get out to check on them.

They probably didn’t expect them to stop at their place because most people really wouldn’t stop at a place where some people are already gathered if they’re only looking for a place to stay so as to avoid conflict.

Of course, if they’re looking for information, they would also stop and ask some people first, but they’ll only be able to ask if those people were also willing to come out to trade for information.

They had already sounded their RV, so they just waited for those people inside, but it seems that those people weren’t willing to get out at all because instead of going out, they just remained inside without saying anything at all.

When they’re heading to the entrance, Luciel could still hear some people talking, but when their RVs were already near and when they stopped, he didn’t hear anyone speaking inside anymore, and he still hadn’t heard anything while they were waiting.

"It seems that they’re not willing to get out at all," Luciel said while looking at the mansion.

"Yeah, it seems that they’re hoping that we would just pass by," Nathan said with a chuckle and added, "Ok, I’ll get out and try to call them out."

"Yeah, see if they’re willing to get out and talk. If not, then just open the gates so that we can get in," Luciel said.

"Ok," Nathan said and then went out of the RV.

Nathan was obviously interested in those people living inside because he was even willing to get out of the RV immediately and do the task himself instead of just leaving it to Nate and Jacob.

"Hello! Please open the gates!" Nathan said loudly while waving his hands towards the mansion, but those people inside still ignored him even though he repeated it thrice already.

"Hello! Can you guys open the gates? The owner of the mansion is here and wants to stay inside!" Nathan finally said.

When Nathan finally mentioned that the owner of the mansion is back, Luciel could finally hear some murmur inside the mansion, and after a while, the door of the mansion finally opened up a bit and a middle-aged man nervously got out, but still didn’t approach them and stayed near the door.

The man nervously stood there and didn’t approach them, but still asked them loudly, "Is Sir Treyton Levine with you? Did he really come?"

"Hey! It’s you, Ferman. Did you already forget me? I went here twice before, but your wife was the one I often saw at those times," Nathan said happily.

After being recognized, the middle-aged man who was nervously staying near the door finally looked at Nathan properly and said happily, "Oh, you are Sir Nathan, the friend of our boss!"

"Oh, you finally remembered, that’s good. Ok, come and open this door, we will stay in the mansion for a bit," Nathan said.

Ferman finally started walking towards the gate after seeing Nathan but he still asked about Treyton.
