Chapter 650: Chapter 649: Meeting Ferman 2
"Sir Nathan, is Sir Treyton inside one of those RVs?"
"Oh, Treyton actually isn’t here, but his boyfriend is here with me. All of what Treyton has is also technically Luciel’s, so just as I said, the owner of the mansion is here," Nathan said with a chuckle.
When Ferman heard what Nathan said, his face was obviously hesitant and he said softly when he got near Nathan, "But doesn’t Sir Treyton often change boyfriends? What if Sir Treyton comes with another boyfriend?"
"Oh, you actually knew that too," Nathan said after laughing loudly while looking at the RV he was in.
Luciel just rolled his eyes, because Nathan was surely laughing and trying to see his reaction, as he could clearly hear what they were talking about even if Ferman lowered his voice when asking those questions.
"Don’t worry, that’s already old news. Luciel had been with him before the appearance of zombies and had been with Treyton until now, and he’s also the vice leader of the team that Treyton is currently leading.
"So, you don’t have to worry that another one would suddenly appear and claim that they’re Treyton’s lover. If they claimed to be one, then they’re totally fake," Nathan added, still with a big smile on his face.
Ferman nodded and then said, "Sir Nathan, we’re sorry, but my family and a few of my neighbors in the community have been using this mansion after the zombies suddenly appeared."
"I see," Nathan said with a nod.
"But we didn’t use the master’s bedroom and other rooms on the second and third floors. We only use the rooms on the first floor," Ferman hurriedly added.
"Then there’s no problem," Nathan said and then looked towards the RV, "Right?"
Luciel opened the window and said, "Yeah, there’s no problem as long as we have a place to stay at. You guys seem to have been maintaining the mansion and the things here outside, so everything’s ok. Besides, no one was using it anyway, so there’s no problem using it as it’s indeed empty."
"Thank you very much! We really had nowhere to stay at that time since our houses had been easily flooded at that time, unlike here which is in a higher area and also has a lot of walls that could prevent zombies from coming in.
"Since our family is in charge of maintaining this mansion, we shamelessly went here to stay for safety together with some of our neighbors who also didn’t have a place to go."
Luciel just nodded, while Nathan, who was outside, asked, "But how can you guys even survive here? I think there’s not much food in the surrounding area."
"Oh, we checked most of the houses here that were left empty and got the supplies in their stockroom, even the water in their tanks. Afterwards, we also worked together to gather food and drinks from farther places.
"We had been lucky that there’s actually a warehouse which isn’t very far, and not a lot of people knew about it.
"So, until now, we have been relying on those supplies that we got from the warehouse and all the things from nearby places, as we don’t dare go too far because of the number of zombies."
"You guys don’t plan to move to other places?" Nathan asked while backing away as Ferman was already opening the gate.
"We also planned to go somewhere before, but then all the people we met all want supplies or just want us to work for them with very meager wages, so we didn’t dare to go to those places.
We are all just ordinary people, so we just wanted to look for a place that could treat us a bit better.
We are all willing to work, and we don’t have any problems at all in doing hard labor, but the places that we have seen don’t treat people as people, and we even lost a few of us because of those places, so we don’t dare to go to those areas.
"We also knew that our food and water are already running out and we have to move somewhere, but we kept delaying it because it’s even safer here than other places," Ferman said sadly.
"I see," Nathan said with a nod while walking towards the mansion, and their RVs also drove forward; then they slowly moved forward after Ferman finished locking the gate again.
"All of you don’t have any superpowers?" Nathan asked again while they were walking.
"No, all of us here are just ordinary people. No one has any superpowers, unlike a few people that we have seen before.
"In fact, all of us wanted at least one of us to have a superpower, especially water. We always have difficulty looking for water because we consume it faster than food. That’s why all of us here actually wanted to have a water ability; unfortunately, all of us are really just ordinary people," Ferman said with obvious envy towards those who have water superpowers.
"Then you guys don’t have to worry about water while we’re here. We have someone with water ability; she could provide water for everyone as she has to train anyway, so she has to use her ability," Nathan said.
"Really! Thank you very much!" Ferman said with obvious happiness.
It can be seen that they were really short on supplies because Ferman was obviously very happy and excited after hearing that they would have access to free water while they’re staying in the mansion.
After seeing Ferman, who was really happy, Nathan didn’t ask any more questions and they also finally reached the front door, so Nate and Jacob finally stopped their RVs.
"Ok, kids, let’s go out," Luciel said and got out first, followed by the younger kids and Camille, who had been in charge of teaching the younger kids while they were in the RV.
Once they were out, those at the other RV also came out, and Ferman, who was at the side, was obviously looking at them with surprise, his eyes keeping darting to the younger and older kids.
