True Incubus: The Demon with No Limits

Chapter 164: You really found someone perfect, huh?

Chapter 164: You really found someone perfect, huh?

After about a fifteen-minute walk, Vivienne, Evelyn and unconscious Lucian walked into Vivienne’s training hall.

Once here, Vivienne waved her hand and gently lowered the stretcher to the floor. Evelyn looked at Lucian, then at the place she was in and she couldn’t help but frown.

The Hall was... empty.

There were no doctors here.

No medical beds, no machines, nothing.

"What are we doing here?"

She couldn’t help but ask.

"My original plan was to throw him into the Crucible until his demonic energy recovered."

Vivienne answered without looking at her.

"The Crucible?"

Evelyn frowned.

"Was that the place where he got his demonic energy from before?"

"Yes."

Vivienne nodded, finally looking at her.

"You were going to throw him there?"

She narrowed her eyes.

"Yes."

"While he is injured like this?"

"He is not made of paper, he will survive."

Vivienne answered confidently. After all, she knew Lucian better than Evelyn, but Evelyn—

"He is injured."

She countered, looking at Vivienne as if she *was* ready to stand against her if it was required. Vivienne stared at the girl for a few seconds, then she sighed.

"Whatever, since you are here.

There is no need."

"What does that mean?"

Evelyn’s frown deepened.

"You can restore his demonic energy."

Evelyn blinked at those words.

"How am I supposed to do that?"

Vivienne frowned in confusion.

"Do you not know the process?"

She narrowed her eyes as she momentarily looked at the unconscious Lucian.

"He told me the two of you had done it already."

For one second, Evelyn couldn’t react. Her mind couldn’t comprehend what Vivienne was saying, but when it did—

Her mouth twitched.

Despite the situation she was in, her face flushed a little and—

"I know the process!"

She raised her voice.

"I am not a child!"

"Then why ask?"

Vivienne tilted her head.

Evelyn pointed at Lucian and—

"Because he is unconscious!"

Vivienne paused.

Then she looked at Lucian.

"Ah."

"Ah...?"

Evelyn blinked at her reaction; Vivienne didn’t care, she only raised her hand, the red threads moved again, sliding around Lucian’s legs, wrapping around the protruding, broken bones and torn muscles, forming a firm cast made of blood-red lines.

"There."

She nodded.

"You don’t have to worry about hurting his legs.

Now do it."

She instructed.

Evelyn, however, only stared at her with a deadpan look on her face and this time, Vivienne’s mouth twitched.

"What now?"

"He is unconscious. How am I supposed to..."

"He is an Incubus."

Vivienne explained.

"An Incubus who has exhausted his energy, once he senses you, conscious or not, his body will respond, though you still need to be the one doing all the movements."

Evelyn only stared at her.

"Is that it...?"

She couldn’t help but ask.

"That is all you are going to do? Help him recover his energy?"

"What else do you want me to do?"

"To heal him?"

"I am doing this to heal him, girl. Once he has enough energy, he will be able to heal him on his own."

"I was told that he should be taken to the medical ward."

"That is possible too."

Vivienne nodded.

They had more than enough ways to treat his injuries.

"Then why..."

Evelyn frowned in confusion, Vivienne, however, only smiled as her eyes shimmered with a demonic glint.

"He won’t be able to train his regeneration if he is taken to the Medical Ward."

"...what?"

Evelyn blinked in disbelief.

This woman...

Was she worried about training right now!?

Evelyn couldn’t help but remember how Sarah had called her crazy and now that she was meeting her, she couldn’t agree more!

This woman truly was crazy!

"This is not the time to—"

Evelyn was prepared to stand up against Vivienne again, to fight for Lucian’s sake but—

"He knows his body better than those in the medical ward do, Girl."

Before she could complete her sentence, Vivienne interrupted.

"Let him do it himself. He will do a far better job than those in the medical ward."

It was a lie.

Enclave was a supernatural organization that has existed for a long, long time now. They had ways to heal lost limbs, Lucian’s self-inflicted injuries were comparatively easy to heal.

Just that...

Vivienne did not want the Enclave to heal Lucian.

Lucian was already an odd case, she wanted to keep the Enclave in the dark about his abilities as much as she could.

At Vivienne’s words, Evelyn paused.

She stared at her for a few seconds and remembered how much Lucian trusted her. Yes, she was crazy, she completely agreed with that, but this was the same woman who had trained Lucian and made him what he was today.

And for that...

Evelyn needed to show her the respect she deserves. So in the end, the agitated Evelyn closed her eyes for a moment and calmed herself down.

Then—

"...alright."

She agreed, ready to do what Vivienne wanted her to.

"So you agree?"

Vivienne asked one last time.

"Yes."

"Then what are you waiting for? Do it."

"Right now...? Here...?"

"You want me to waste time arranging a bed for you? Want a bath as well? Why not take a nap too? Be as comfortable as you want. The boy won’t mind waiting for you."

"I-I will do it!"

Evelyn nodded.

Vivienne smiled inwardly, it really was easy to manipulate the girl using the boy’s name. For a moment, she couldn’t help but look at unconscious Lucian and—

’What did you do to her?’

She couldn’t help but wonder.

"A-Are you not going to leave?"

Evelyn asked in a sheepish voice.

"...Do I have to?"

"YES!!"

Evelyn screamed.

"I am not doing this in front of you!!"

Her face was now flushed.

"Alright fine. Ugghh... girls these days..."

Vivienne groaned as she turned around and walked out of the training hall. Once she was out, once she was sure the girl couldn’t see her, she smiled a little.

She could see why the boy liked her.

She was weak, but when it came to him, despite being the weakest in the room, she was the only one to stand up against her, and this was when Vivienne tried to intimidate her.

Vivienne could practically see her trembling legs as she stood in front of her, but the girl did not back down and Vivienne—

She approved of that.

The willingness to do anything it took for his sake, she liked seeing it.

Not to mention she was easy to tease, she was an ideal target for him.

And this was all before considering the girl’s special physique.

’You really found someone perfect, huh?’

Vivienne smiled inwardly as she let Evelyn do her thing and walked away.
