True Incubus: The Demon with No Limits

Chapter 373: Then we’ll meet you later.

Lucian’s senses were a mess, he could tell there were several powerful beings coming from one particular direction, but he still couldn’t tell who those beings were.

And he...

He did not like that feeling.

So Lucian forced himself to learn. He expanded his senses and focused again, just like he did with Neroth, only this time, instead of focusing on one being standing right in front of him, he was focusing on several.

It was difficult, but after a few tries—

Lucian managed to do it.

His advanced senses could now sense it, a group of Vampires moving towards them, then, he noticed something else.

A heartbeat.

There was a heartbeat keeping up with the said Vampires and hearing how calm it was, that person was keeping up with them with quite some ease.

That made him curious.

Lucian focused on that one being and as he did, his senses picked it up.

That familiar movement, that familiar scent...

He would never forget it even if his very brain was being overwhelmed by tens of thousands of different things.

It was his dear teacher.

She was here.

And considering how she was moving...

She didn’t look like she was in a good mood.

A small smile appeared on Lucian’s face. Aurelia saw that smile, then, she focused on the existence that was coming towards them.

Both of them waited, then, a couple of seconds later, the group became visible.

House Veyr was here and the one together with them was... Vivienne Everhart.

Aurelia’s eyes fell on the one Vampire leading House Veyr, the Patriarch of House Veyr, Valerian Veyr, her brother.

The Patriarch looked back into her eyes and the two siblings had a silent conversation with just their eyes alone.

Aurelia asked why Vivienne was with him.

Valerian had absolutely no idea, according to him, she just came here while he was trying to break the barrier.

Then, Valerian also gave Aurelia another warning—

She was pissed.

By the time their silent conversation ended, Valerian and his group were already standing in front of Lucian and Aurelia.

Lucian stared at the group, more specifically, he stared at his teacher, who was currently holding a sword he had never seen before.

That made him smile.

It couldn’t be more obvious why she came here.

"Teache—"

He tried to greet her like he usually would but the moment he saw Vivienne glare at him with that intensity, his entire body froze and he... couldn’t move.

’W-What... happened...?’

Lucian blinked in disbelief.

Vivienne, on the other hand, completely ignored his disbelief and everyone around her and walked towards the frozen Lucian instead.

Then, she narrowed her eyes.

She could sense it, how much Lucian’s body had changed. She could also see his clearer skin, the slight change in the violet of his eyes, and how dense his body now looked.

Her eyes finally returned to him, then—

"Who are you?"

She asked.

Lucian tried to speak and he realised he could now do so again.

"...I am your student."

He answered, a little less playfully because of this absurd thing that had just happened to him.

And Vivienne—

She grabbed his neck and lifted him into the air.

"Ackk—"

"I’ll ask again, who are you?"

"Ackk!! Teacher! It really is me!"

He spoke with difficulty as he grabbed her hand.

Vivienne narrowed her eyes when she sensed his strength.

"What did you do?"

She asked, still not putting him down.

Aurelia shook her head at that question, she had been asking this for a long time now, he hadn’t answered till now, she didn’t think he was going to answ—

"I ate Neroth’s Heart, somehow devoured it. Then my body changed, it became so strong that I can no longer control it. My senses, my strength, my speed, my abilities and my energy, everything has changed.

I... I think my body adapted to Neroth’s Archdemon Blood."

Lucian explained with difficulty.

"..."

Aurelia stared at this man with a ridiculous look on her face.

But more than that, she focused on his words.

His body... adapted to an Archdemon’s Blood...?

What...?

That made absolutely no sense.

And the worst part?

That very nonsensical explanation was the only thing that could explain what she had been seeing all this while.

Lucian’s blood...

It was no longer comparable to a High Demon.

It now belonged to an Archdemon.

His blood... upgraded.

Of course, this wasn’t unheard of when it came to demons, demons could drink a higher-level demon’s blood and upgrade their blood but...

That process was very, very, very slow.

A demon couldn’t just drink a Higher Ranked Demon’s blood, their bodies would explode. They would need to dilute that blood, slowly lower the dilution, making their bodies slowly adapt to the change.

And even then, such cases only existed in lower-level demons.

A Demon Spawn becoming an Imp.

An Imp becoming a Lesser Demon.

A Lesser Demon becoming a Common Demon.

A Common Demon becoming a Greater Demon.

That was it.

Cases where Demons stronger than Greater Demons upgraded their Bloodlines... were very, very rare.

And why wouldn’t they be?

After Greater Demons, the next ranks in the Demon Hierarchy were Noble Demon, High Demon, Archdemon, Demon General and Demon Prince.

Their blood was so ridiculously strong that even after dilution, very few beings could survive consuming it.

And then...

Then there was him.

Aurelia stared at Lucian in disbelief.

He just... consumed raw Archdemon’s Blood and...

His body adapted to it...?

And while Aurelia was thinking all this, Valerian, who had just come here and had absolutely no idea what was happening in this place—

"You... ate Neroth’s Heart...?"

He was still stuck on the very first sentence Lucian said.

That was when Vivienne finally snapped out of it. She put Lucian back on the ground, then she looked around at the Veyrs gathered here and—

"I am sure you have something you have to do."

"We do."

Aurelia nodded at those words.

"Then we’ll meet you later."

Vivienne nodded as she grabbed Lucian and then—

She disappeared with him.
