Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1931: Overheard by Anton Ford
Abby Sawyer’s uniqueness is also recognized by Angel.
So having such a woman in the crew will certainly threaten her status, and if she’s not careful, this girl Abby Sawyer will steal the spotlight.
Once the show airs, Abby Sawyer’s fame will be unstoppable, she might have her own buzz, so Angel must quickly get rid of Abby Sawyer.
Not far away, Abby Sawyer put down the script, she turned to Tess Tate and said, "I’m going to the bathroom."
"Alright, turn right when you exit," Tess Tate reminded her with a smile.
"Okay." The girl stood up, stepped out, and passed behind Anton Miller.
In the mirror, Anton Ford gazed at her; her beautiful profile moved past his view like a slow-motion scene in a movie...
He managed to catch a faint scent exuding from her, Anton Ford closed his eyes, taking a deep breath greedily...
As Abby Sawyer was heading out, Angel also stood and followed, catching up to the sink.
Angel masked her tracking by washing her hands, gazing at her own beautiful reflection in the mirror, her confidence suddenly shook, waiting for the woman to come out.
Soon, Abby Sawyer came out, not expecting to see Angel.
Abby Sawyer saw her washing her hands, so she paused her steps, deciding to wait for this woman to leave before approaching the sink.
Abby Sawyer recalled what Violet Sutton said when she left yesterday, that yesterday morning’s incident was orchestrated by Angel, though she didn’t know why she did it.
So Abby Sawyer tried to avoid direct conflict with her.
Seeing Abby Sawyer not intending to come over, Angel leisurely flicked the water from her hands, dried them, and then stood firmly before Abby Sawyer, staring at her.
The two women stood just inches apart, their eyes meeting.
Angel’s lips curled slightly, scrutinizing her, asking mockingly, "Abby Sawyer, can you act?"
Outside the door, Anton Miller stopped in his tracks, his gaze heavy.
"Have you acted before? How can you be so overconfident?" Angel asked again.
Facing her mockery and sarcasm, Abby Sawyer remained composed, "Was Miss Angel born knowing how to act?"
"You..."
"Besides, even if I can’t act, you’re not the one to decide that," Abby Sawyer said calmly, "It’s unnecessary for you to deliberately ruin my mood on the first day."
"I’m just reminding you, it’s not too late to back off now, otherwise you’ll end up embarrassing yourself and being laughed at." Angel’s eyes chilled, "Of course, if you don’t heed the advice, I’ll make sure you’ll regret it hard."
But these vicious words happened to reach Anton Miller’s ears outside the door.
Anton Ford lightly pressed his thin lips, his eyes cold and dark, emitting an intimidating aura.
Before Abby Sawyer could say anything, Angel turned on her heel, walking out with a proud stride.
As soon as she stepped out, she bumped into Anton Miller.
Her steps paused, her face a bit embarrassed, but she quickly left his side, thinking Anton Miller had just arrived? He probably didn’t hear.
But even if he did hear, so what?
What’s wrong with a seasoned actress admonishing a rookie newbie? Isn’t that common in the entertainment industry? Such matters surely wouldn’t interest Anton Miller.
Abby Sawyer stood where she was, taking just five seconds to pull herself together, confidently washed her hands, and also stepped out.
As Anton Miller was about to enter, Abby Sawyer nearly collided with him, instinctively stopping and taking a step back, her gaze inadvertently meeting his eyes.
For the first time in ten years, their eyes met, in a gaze that saw only each other.
