Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1932: Truly Worthy of Being Angel
But Abby Sawyer quickly regained her composure. She apologetically moved aside to make way for him, then looked at him and walked away.
Anton Ford’s face, which had softened somewhat, became stiff again due to her swift departure. He stood there, the words "hello" stuck in his throat for a long time, and a sense of loss surged in his heart.
A scene flashed in his mind of the moment he had just locked eyes with her... Her eyes were so beautiful, still the same as before, like a whirlpool, always making one irresistibly drawn in.
Soon, the first scene started shooting; it was Angel’s part.
The crew was in position, and all the equipment had been thoroughly checked.
She appeared in high heels, indoors, under bright lights, walking towards the sofa while talking on the phone. The call wasn’t actually connected, yet she acted it out to perfection.
Her lines didn’t sound memorized at all; her performance was very natural.
The entire scene lasted a whole three minutes, and the venue was incredibly silent, with all eyes focused on her.
The director did not call "cut" at all.
Abby Sawyer watched from not far away. She knew Angel would nail it in one go, and indeed, her performance was excellent, until the director led the applause, and the set burst into enthusiastic claps—
"Great!"
"That’s how acting should be! Emotions are spot on!"
"As expected of Angel, outstanding!"
Angel really did nail it in one go.
She had set a good tone for everyone, making everyone especially happy, especially the director, who was smiling broadly.
Tess Tate stood by Abby Sawyer’s side, glancing at Abby’s profile, sensing her tension and pressure.
Not far away, Anton Miller’s gaze also fell on Abby Sawyer’s face; he too sensed her nervousness, and his heart was entirely tied to her.
He wanted to help her.
But after a while, he withdrew his gaze, trying his best to prevent her from noticing his emotions.
Soon, Jerry Garcia came over. He walked straight to Anton Miller’s side, speaking without any burden, "Anton, I’m here. From today on, I’m here to serve you."
"Can’t afford your salary, go back." Anton Miller headed towards the lounge, not wanting to engage with him.
"Oh, come on! I’m not here on behalf of CEO Kingston to spy on you, I’m here to help you." Jerry Garcia followed alongside him, "Don’t chase me away, why not see how capable I am first?"
Anton Miller turned his gaze to glance at him, "I don’t have anything that needs doing here." He did not stop walking.
"Then I’ll stay and serve you tea and water!"
Not far away, Tess Tate and Abby Sawyer approached them.
As they stepped nearer, Tess immediately saw Jerry Garcia, her eyes lighting up in surprise, she waved, "Hey, Assistant Jerry!"
"Tess?" Jerry Garcia responded with a warm smile.
With that, everyone stopped at a not-too-distant range, and Tess greeted Jerry once more.
Abby Sawyer met Anton Ford’s gaze for the second time.
"What a coincidence, I’m Abby’s manager, and you’re Anton’s manager, so I guess... we’re kind of friends?" Tess shyly looked at Anton Miller, "Anton, our Abby is a newcomer, it’s her first time acting, working with you, do you think you could..."
Perhaps Anton Miller’s expression was too cold, causing the girl to ramble.
"Hello, I’m Anton Miller." His gaze remained locked with Abby’s, extending a hand towards her with a gentle expression.
Abby Sawyer was quite surprised by his proactive gesture; she quickly collected herself, a slight smile on her lips, "Hello, senior, I’m Abby Sawyer, please take care of me." She shook his hand.
At this moment, it felt as if a flower bloomed in Anton Ford’s heart.
"Just call me Anton Ford, I’m not used to being called senior." Anton Miller said, his gaze softer than usual.
