Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1934: Newcomers Should Be Encouraged
"Keira, Anton is rehearsing with Abby Sawyer in Break Room No. 3."
Angel’s beautiful eyes seemed to flicker with something, and she lifted her gaze toward that direction, practically unable to believe it.
"You should go take a look, it’s the first time we’ve seen Anton act like this with a woman." With that, the two actresses quietly slipped away.
Angel didn’t bother with their gossip; she looked like she was hit hard, standing stunned for a few seconds.
Then she took steps forward and headed outside Break Room No. 3.
The scene she saw was—
Anton Ford was actually sitting on the sofa with Abby Sawyer, both holding scripts, not sitting too far apart, with Anton slightly turned toward her, speaking softly.
This scene was something Angel could hardly imagine; if she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, she would never have thought it was real!
Anton Ford, so aloof, never close to anyone in the crew, always disappearing without a trace once filming ended.
Looking at this, she recalled Anton Ford’s attitude toward her, feeling like her lungs were about to explode with anger!
Wasn’t this obviously being overshadowed by Abby Sawyer?
It’s really too much!
"Emotion integration doesn’t happen overnight."
Anton Miller held the script, lifting his gaze toward the girl beside him, speaking gently, "You need to thoroughly understand this character, truly immerse yourself in her world. So if you have time, digest the entire script, and it’s best to read the novel too."
"Mm-hmm, I’ve got it." Abby Sawyer sat beside him, meeting his gaze, "Thank you, senior."
"Call me Anton," he said, looking at her earnestly, "Remember that."
"..." The girl smiled, "Anton." Suddenly feeling the distance between them narrowed, the upcoming filming would also have less tension.
"Let’s go, it’s our turn next." Anton Miller’s face softened, he stood up, still looking at her face.
Feeling this man wasn’t as cold as before, she finally let out a sigh of relief.
She stood up with him, "I’ll definitely give it my all."
"I believe in you," he said, "Your temperament suits the role of Telma."
Outside the door, Angel didn’t want to embarrass herself further. She turned and entered the break room, slamming the door shut, hitting Sharon’s hand.
She angrily sat on the sofa, "Why?!" Remembering Anton Miller’s indifferent attitude toward her, she felt utterly unbalanced, "Why Abby Sawyer?!"
Sharon glanced at her and poured a cup of warm water, handing it to her, "Calm down, don’t ruin your makeup, there’s another scene later, and you’ll have a confrontation with Anton."
"Why Abby Sawyer? She just got lucky as an assistant!"
Sharon calmly met her gaze, "Because she’s CEO Kingston’s woman."
Their gazes met, Angel fell silent, seeming to understand something.
She understood, since she was CEO Kingston’s woman, she should let everyone in the crew know!
See if she still has any shame!
See if she can still stay here! Cause a ruckus with the reporters! Let the whole world know! Let her be scorned by everyone!
This is the biggest leverage.
"Leave it to me," Sharon said, "You just focus on acting, no need to let her ruin your mood."
With the agent’s persuasion, Angel finally focused on her script.
Soon, it was Anton Miller and Abby Sawyer’s turn on stage. The director had briefed them beforehand, but mostly put pressure on Abby Sawyer.
"Abby Sawyer, this is your first time acting, you need to show your best, don’t make the whole crew wait for you; every minute wasted by sixty people means an hour gone!"
The scolding started before the performance.
Abby Sawyer nodded repeatedly, though strong inside, at this moment the suppressed nervousness began to rise again.
Hearing these words, Anton Miller’s expression changed, his gaze coldly fixed on the director, speaking a fair word, "Newcomers should be encouraged."
