Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1935: Anton Ford Feels Heartache
Abby Sawyer looked at him with some surprise, never expecting him to say such things.
The director was also surprised that Anton Miller spoke up for her, turning his gaze to Anton Miller and instantly feeling his displeasure and dissatisfaction.
The director’s heart skipped a beat, quickly changing his serious expression to a smile, "Anton, that’s not what I meant, you’re right, we should encourage newcomers more."
"Let’s start shooting." At this time, the assistant director also spoke, "Take it slow." He stepped in to help the director, not wanting Anton to blame anyone further.
Everyone’s mood was affected, making it difficult to shoot well.
Anton Miller withdrew his gaze and stepped forward, arriving at the filming location.
Abby Sawyer followed behind him.
In the bright light, they indeed made a perfect pair, truly complementing each other.
"Action!"
The camera was ready and started recording with a click.
The handsome Anton Miller slowly turned around, standing in front of the girl while gazing at the beautiful face in front of him—
Her white skin and light amber eyes filled him with joy.
Facing his deep affection, Abby Sawyer was waiting for his line.
As he looked at her, Anton Ford’s mind was filled with sweet moments from high school spent with her.
Why wasn’t he speaking?
Did he forget his lines?
Not only did Abby Sawyer have such doubts, but even the crew was puzzled.
Anton Miller seemed to be in a daze, lost in thought...
He stared at her for quite some time, causing Abby Sawyer to feel strange and somewhat flustered. She dared not speak, just staring back at him at this close distance.
"I like you." Anton Ford said to her sincerely, not liking Telma, but liking Abby.
Did he miss a name?
Faced with his sudden words, which disrupted her rhythm, she hesitated for a few seconds and asked, "Do you really like me?"
"Yes." Anton Miller quickly replied.
She still had lines left to finish, but he... added lines himself?
This completely messed up Abby Sawyer’s train of thought. Though she remembered her lines, dealing with such a situation for the first time clearly did not prepare her emotions enough.
"So, Tellman, what do you like about me?" She immediately asked him.
"Stop!" The director couldn’t bear to watch anymore and stood up asking, "Abby Sawyer, what’s going on?"
Despite Anton Ford adding lines randomly, Abby turned to meet the director’s angry gaze, remained silent, and pursed her lips, "Director, I’m sorry, let’s go again."
Anton Miller also came back to his senses and said to Abby, "Sorry, it was my unfamiliarity with the lines that led me to add ones."
Upon hearing this, the director quickly turned back to a smile, "Adding lines is normal, and the line you added wasn’t out of place, but Abby Sawyer, you need to adapt on the fly! Scripts are dead, but you are alive! What were you thinking? Were you distracted? The first episode is already like this, how will you perform in the future?"
Abby Sawyer felt all eyes on her from people around, feeling guilty and starting to reflect that she should adapt to situations where things didn’t go as per the script.
"Clearly, it’s my problem." Anton Miller looked at the director and spoke in a calm tone, "Let’s just retake it, what scene requires a perfect shot in one go? If a director lacks patience for shooting the first episode, how can the entire series be done well?"
Did Anton just directly challenge the director? Everyone dared not speak.
The director also felt a bit awkward, as Miller’s points were valid, ultimately showing the director’s lack of tolerance towards new actors.
The director collected his emotions and spoke again, "Reset positions, camera get ready!"
"Action!"
"Telma, I like you." Anton Miller looked deeply at the girl in front of him at that moment, feeling such a strong sense of pain and wanting to hug her.
Even though he was indeed beside her, he still made her feel aggrieved.
