Chapter 1940: Angel Is Afraid

Angel and Sharon jumped, instinctively turning to the staircase!

Their faces turned pale, pressing their backs tightly against the wall. From this angle, the reporters couldn’t capture them, but they could clearly hear the commotion outside and Anton Ford’s voice.

Even Abby Sawyer and Tess Tate were bewildered, wondering what surveillance footage he had. Their eyes fell on his actions, but they knew he was temporarily on their side.

Nearby, hiding, Angel and Sharon were puzzled and also very nervous and uneasy.

They secretly peeked out, looking at the bustling crowd, seeing Anton Ford take out his phone.

Anton Miller turned the phone screen towards the reporters, showing footage of Violet Sutton slapping Abby Sawyer!

The reporters all expressed shock——

However, Abby Sawyer and Tess Tate only heard the voices; they couldn’t see the footage... Abby felt a bit awkward, her gaze steady, lips pursed, her beauty truly heartbreaking.

Anton Miller put away the phone, saying, "There’s no power above the director, and it’s unrelated to my brother. I just couldn’t stand the chaos in the crew, so I strongly requested a change, or I’d refuse to act."

Abby Sawyer was stunned by these words, once again turning her gaze to him.

These words also made Angel’s heart shrink, thinking, did he obtain surveillance footage? If investigated thoroughly, wouldn’t she also need to be replaced?

Angel quickly took Sharon out the back door to leave.

In the car leaving, Angel looked out the window, her mind wandering.

Sharon, however, was heavy-hearted, "Spreading rumors is not the best way; if one investigates the source, it’ll be easily found out."

Listening to her, Angel felt even more unsettled, turning to look at her, "Then what do we do now?"
