Tao staked out a spot not far from the Gucci store.

She was heavily disguised, wearing a baseball cap, dark sunglasses that covered most of her face, and a sun-protection jacket.

"Perfect!" she rated her own getup.

"Oh my! They’re coming out!" she muttered to herself.

Tao kept her head down, her eyes locked onto the woman who was now sporting a completely new look and carrying a brand-new designer handbag.

"I’m so jealous! Ahhh!" she thought. Judging by her years of experience buying high-quality knockoffs, that handbag alone cost at least fifty thousand yuan.

"Just what exactly did she do to make that handsome guy so generously foot the bill?" she wondered.

She was dying to march right up to the guy and say, "Whatever she can do, I can do too, and I’m confident I can do it even better!"

She wasn’t exaggerating. She had actually spent good money to attend a certain unnamable training camp to specifically learn such skills. While she wouldn’t claim to be the absolute best, she was at least top-tier. But unfortunately, the handsome guy didn’t know about her greatest advantage yet.

Her heart racing, Tao trailed behind the couple. The shopping district was getting crowded, so she wasn’t worried about being spotted. As she followed them, she caught snatches of a rather baffling conversation.

"If you want to buy a gift for Yiyi, we can go check out Bvlgari," the woman said. "Last time, Yiyi told me she really liked one of their collections."

"Sure!" the man replied. "Then you can help me pick something out..."

She couldn’t hear the rest clearly, but channeling her inner Detective Conan, Tao deduced an outrageous truth from this brief exchange.

This man and woman were going to buy a Bvlgari gift for another woman. And all three of them knew each other!

"Tsk, tsk, tsk... Is the wealthy circle really this wild?" she thought.

But on second thought, it seemed pretty normal. The boss of the agency she was signed to lived exactly this kind of "blessed" lifestyle. The most ridiculous part was that his fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth side chicks all worked at the same company. On the surface, they acted like loving sisters, but behind the scenes, they plotted against each other every day like a royal palace drama.

Those "consorts" had also reached a consensus: any mildly attractive female streamer was to be assigned field work. They were only allowed to return to the office once a week. "Work hard, Tao!" she told herself. "You need to join these ranks too!"

As she continued to tail them, she suddenly remembered a former streamer colleague who had changed careers and gone to work at a Bvlgari boutique. In fact, it was the very store right here in Taikoo Li!

After scrolling through her contacts for a while, she finally found an avatar with the screen name "Fire Dragon Fruit Girl."

The video call connected.

"Sister Tao! Long time no see!"

"Linlin, are you still working at the Bvlgari in Taikoo Li?"

"Yeah, I am. Why?"

After hanging up, Linlin eagerly rushed to the front entrance.

By coincidence, a female colleague stationed at the door said, "Linlin, perfect timing. I need to run to the restroom. Can you cover my spot for a few minutes?"

"Sure!"

Normally, Linlin would have refused, but right now, she couldn’t wait for her colleague to leave. She hadn’t even needed to use the excuse she had prepared. It seemed like today was truly her lucky day.

The handsome guy walked out alongside the woman, whose smile was so wide it looked like her cheeks might cramp. Perhaps tired from all the shopping, they found a café to rest.

Meanwhile, Tao, who had been itching with impatience, finally received a video call from her former colleague.

Linlin’s face was flushed with excitement as she gushed, "Sister Tao, this guy is seriously a big spender! He bought a necklace and two bracelets from the Divas’ Dream collection without even blinking!"

Tao wasn’t entirely sure how to pronounce the English name, but she roughly knew what it was. "Is that the fan-shaped collection?"

"Yes, exactly!" Linlin said. "He spent over one hundred and twenty thousand yuan! Thank you so much, Sister Tao!"

Tao was so jealous her chest tightened. "It’s because your service was good that he was willing to place the order. Did you manage to get any other information?"

"Of course I did!" On the screen, Linlin’s expression turned gossipy. "Do you know how incredible this guy is? He brought this gorgeous woman along just to pick out a gift for another woman.

"And the crazy part is, the gorgeous woman picked everything out so earnestly! In the end, she even offered to take just one item for herself and give the other two to the other woman..."

Hearing this, Tao immediately made up her mind.

The relationship between this woman and the handsome guy went without saying. Since that was the case, she would just find the right moment to lay her cards on the table.

Just then, Linlin dropped another crucial piece of information.

"Sister Tao, one more thing. Earlier, when they were paying, that rich hottie took a phone call. It sounded like he has some dinner party to attend tonight. Most importantly, he isn’t taking that gorgeous woman with him."

The two of them chatted for a little while longer. After Tao hung up, she was determined to seize this opportunity.

She continued her stakeout.

Another half hour passed.

The couple finally emerged from the café and walked toward the main road outside Taikoo Li. They strolled leisurely for about seven or eight minutes until a luxury private car pulled up at the intersection ahead.

The beautiful woman waved goodbye reluctantly, then climbed into the car with her assorted shopping bags. The handsome guy watched her leave before turning and walking in the direction of his hotel.

"This is my chance!" Tao thought. "Tao, whether or not you’ll be able to shop till you drop like that woman just did all depends on your performance right now! Charge!"
