Chapter 1462: Chapter 1462: Seventh Young Master, I’m Not Running Away!
"Gu Beicheng, what are you doing? This is the Gu Family’s place." Xia Yinian was clearly frightened by the sudden turn of events.
Today Grandma had given her a share transfer agreement, instantly pushing her net worth past ten billion, and then there was that heirloom too.
If she still didn’t rein herself in a bit and the Old Master couldn’t hold back, if that anger flared up again, would he find someone to have her killed?
Her cherishing of life hadn’t changed just because of how much Money she now had.
But because she had now found a direction in life, she really did cherish her life even more.
"Do you!"
Even with the scenery flying by on all sides, Xia Yinian could still hear those two words from the man, thick with sly intent.
She opened her mouth, not knowing how to refute him anymore.
Gu Beicheng carried someone in his arms, weaving through the tree-lined path, stepping into the Feng Residence, going upstairs—all of it was effortless.
In the blink of an eye, Xia Yinian had already been placed on the soft, fluffy bed.
"Beicheng, wait."
Just as Gu Beicheng was about to "launch his attack," Xia Yinian suddenly spoke up to stop him.
"Wifey, what’s wrong?" Gu Beicheng blinked his gem-like eyes and asked hoarsely.
"I haven’t showered yet." Xia Yinian carefully sat up in his arms.
"I already showered." Gu Beicheng leaned in closer.
"I haven’t." Xia Yinian gave him a little push.
"I don’t mind." Gu Beicheng leaned in even closer.
"I mind. Wait a bit, I’ll be quick."
As soon as the words left her mouth, Xia Yinian’s small body easily slipped out of his arms and off the bed.
It wasn’t that she was so against this; she simply wanted to shower first. She’d been on a plane all day today, of course she had to wash up first.
Gu Beicheng naturally wouldn’t let her out of his sight so easily—he just couldn’t bear to.
Just as Xia Yinian was about to close the door, his tall figure blocked the bathroom doorway, and no matter how she pushed, she couldn’t shut it.
"Seventh Young Master, I’m not running away! You’re wasting your own time right now." Xia Yinian met the man’s gaze and said helplessly.
"I’m helping you. How could that be a waste?"
The bathroom door was closed by someone—of course the Seventh Young Master went in too.
The moment he entered, he pressed Xia Yinian directly against the sink, their lower bodies tightly pressed together.
Her small frame, almost bent back at a ninety-degree angle, stared wide-eyed at the man in front of her.
"Stop messing around, okay?" The girl pouted her lips and said faintly.
"I’m not messing around, I really just want to serve you."
The man’s fan-like lashes fluttered up and down, his charm downright demonic, almost soul-stealing.
This guy was just too handsome; Xia Yinian felt she could never get enough of looking at him.
Just with him pressed this close, her lower belly felt hot and tingly; she really didn’t know how to describe this feeling.
Was this... catching f-feelings?
Thinking this, the girl’s face, already flushed earlier, now looked like a fully ripened red apple.
Seeing the smug smile at the corner of his mouth, Xia Yinian closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
When she opened them again, a thin mist had gathered in her eyes, making her look pitiful and delicate.
She couldn’t let him keep leading her by the nose, could she? He might have a face that could seduce anyone, but she wasn’t lacking either.
At least, to the Seventh Young Master, her charm was still pretty potent.
"That day I said I’d serve you and listen to you; let me make up for it tonight, okay?"
Xia Yinian’s guess was right—looking like this, all pitiful and fragile, was something the Seventh Young Master could never resist.
