Chapter 260: Chapter 262: Having an Affair?

Although females were revered in the Beast World Continent, most still took their father’s surname.

On one hand, this was because Beastmen were stronger than females, and females relied on Beastmen to live.

On the other hand, females contracted with multiple Beastmen, so if all the children took the mother’s surname, naming would become difficult.

Su Luoluo hadn’t expected Nantu’s thinking to be so progressive in such an environment.

"Su Nan sounds nice, but I think Nansu is good too."

Su Luoluo thought for a moment, her eyes crinkling into a smile. "Then let’s call her Su Nan on the continent, and when we go to your ocean territory, we can call her Nansu!"

’Sharing the naming rights equally feels more fair,’ Su Luoluo thought.

On land, Nantu didn’t know anyone. Besides himself, no one would have an opinion about the baby having the surname Su. But if they returned to his home in the sea, Su Luoluo felt that Nantu’s Father might not agree.

So she came up with a compromise.

Nantu had initially said it didn’t matter, but hearing Su Luoluo’s suggestion, a hint of a smile appeared on his cool face. "Alright, we’ll do as you say."

Hearing this, Su Luoluo turned her head to look at the little female. "From now on, we’ll call you Nannan. Are you happy about that?"

Little Nannan’s eyes were wide and round. As if she understood Su Luoluo’s words, the corners of her mouth curled into a small smile.

Su Luoluo said happily, "Nantu, look! Nannan is smiling."

Nantu nodded. "She likes the name, too."

"Nantu, do little mermaids have to be in the water from birth? When will she get legs?"

"It’s better for them to be in the water right after birth so her skin doesn’t feel dry. Nannan will only grow legs in a few months, but she already knows how to swim." Nantu answered seriously when Su Luoluo asked.

After he finished speaking, there was no response for a long time. Nantu then realized that Su Luoluo had fallen asleep at some point.

He smiled and tucked the beast skin blanket around her, then looked at the little female beside them.

The little female had been a bit afraid of him earlier, but now she was snuggled up in Su Luoluo’s arms, fast asleep.

Nantu lowered his head and gently kissed Su Luoluo’s forehead, then kissed the little female as well, before closing his eyes to sleep.

When Su Luoluo woke up the next day, Nantu and the little female were already gone from the room; she didn’t know where they had gone.

Remembering how her children weren’t very affectionate with her, Su Luoluo decided to make some clothes to get closer to them.

She had to admit, after giving birth to the cubs, she, their mother, hadn’t done anything for them besides feeding the little wolf cubs.

Making a few sets of clothes was the most fitting thing to do. However, she wasn’t very good at sewing, so she planned to ask Cai Xia about it.

But as soon as she reached the plaza, she saw Lan Ya grabbing someone, shrieking hysterically, "Stop! You’re not allowed to leave!"

Su Luoluo was completely baffled by the scene.

Cai Xia appeared by her side at some point. Seeing Su Luoluo’s blank expression, she explained softly, "Those two, mother and son, have been like this since this morning."

’Mother and son?’

Su Luoluo took a closer look and realized the person Lan Ya was grabbing was actually Su Zhao.

No wonder she hadn’t recognized Su Zhao. Overnight, he’d become scruffy and unshaven, with his hair hanging loose down his back. Just looking at his back, she hadn’t recognized him at all.

She asked in confusion, "What are those two doing?"

"What else could they be doing? Hong Shuang fell off a cliff, and Su Zhao wants to go look for her. Lan Ya won’t let him go, so they started fighting."

The place where Hong Shuang fell was treacherous, so it wasn’t entirely incomprehensible that Lan Ya didn’t want Su Zhao to go.

However, Su Zhao actually shoved Lan Ya away. His actions seemed incredibly rough, which surprised Su Luoluo.

’Isn’t this guy usually the most devoted son?’

’He’d scold me mercilessly if I so much as argued with Lan Ya. Why has this great filial son suddenly become so unfilial today?’

Su Luoluo asked with a hint of amusement, "Have those two had a falling out?"

"You bet. Su Zhao said the reason Hong Shuang chose to kill herself was because of what your mother said. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have died. Your brother resents your mother now, you know?"

Given Lan Ya’s personality, Su Luoluo had always felt it was only a matter of time before Su Zhao grew to hate her.

’I just didn’t expect this day to come so soon.’

Watching Su Zhao and Lan Ya argue, for some reason, she suddenly felt a sense of satisfaction.

’Aside from Su Nuannuan, Su Zhao was the person Lan Ya was most pleased with. Now that even Su Zhao dislikes her, Lan Ya’s heart must really be hurting!’

Ah Zhu was also standing next to Cai Xia, watching the drama unfold. Seeing the two in front of them fighting so intensely, she looked at Su Luoluo and said, "Luoluo, aren’t you going to try and talk some sense into them?"

’Persuade them?’

She was in no mood for that. Just as Su Luoluo was about to speak, Cai Xia poked Ah Zhu’s forehead, her tone indignant.

"Persuade them? Why? They were both so awful to Luoluo, why should she get involved in their mess?"

"But... people will talk!"

Ah Zhu whispered, glancing at the prying eyes around them.

Cai Xia scoffed. "They just have too much time on their hands."

Su Luoluo truly didn’t care what these people thought of her. After all, she never lived her life according to others’ opinions.

She turned to Cai Xia, unconcerned. "Cai Xia, I’m planning to make some clothes for the cubs. Can you teach me how?"

Cai Xia readily agreed. "Of course, no problem. But you might have to wait a little while. Ah Zhu and I have something we need to do."

"That’s fine. I’ll come find you later." Hearing they were busy, Su Luoluo didn’t disturb them further and turned to leave the plaza.

She wanted to make some cooler clothes for the cubs. Coincidentally, Dongfang Luanhe was visiting in a few days, so she could draw up the designs and have the tribe’s people make the clothes.

With this in mind, she decided to go find some stones to make more ink.

But just as she entered the forest on the east side, she saw a man and a woman pulling and tugging at each other.

’At first, I thought they were about to get it on in the wild,’ Su Luoluo mused.

But then she noticed the Beastman’s back looked familiar. She was still squinting, trying to place him.

When a coquettish voice rang out, "Fu Feng, Grandpa Fu’s birthday is in a few days. Will you be going back?"

Fu Feng’s reply was cool. "Whether I go back or not is none of your business."

"Fu Feng, you’re always so cold to me. But I really want to go back with you. I haven’t seen Granny Fu and Grandfather Fu in so long."

As the female spoke, she reached out to grab Fu Feng, but he looked unwilling and shook her hand off.

Hearing this, Su Luoluo instantly snapped to attention. ’No wonder that Beastman’s back looked so familiar!’

’Isn’t that Fu Feng?’

’That punk! He’s been meeting with another female behind my back.’

’And from the sound of her voice, that female isn’t from the tribe. She seems like an old acquaintance of his.’

’Someone is trying to steal my man right in front of me. How could I just stand by and watch?’

Her eyebrow shot up. With a half-smile, she looked at Fu Feng and said in a long, drawn-out voice, "Fu Feng. Who’s this? Aren’t you going to introduce us?"

Fu Feng froze. He hadn’t expected to see Su Luoluo here, and a flustered look spread across his face.
