Su Luoluo smiled, her eyes crinkling. She looked gentle, but her gaze was intensely probing.

When Fu Feng saw that look in Su Luoluo’s eyes, his heart lurched. He was no stranger to that expression; it was how she always looked when she was angry.

He immediately slapped away the hand on his body, then turned to Su Luoluo and asked, a hint of guilt in his voice, "Luoluo, what are you doing here?"

Su Luoluo smiled at him, ignoring his question. Her eyes swept over to the person beside him. "Aren’t you going to introduce us? Who is this?"

"She’s no one important. Luoluo, don’t get the wrong idea!" Fu Feng explained hurriedly.

"Oh, so she’s unimportant! And I thought she was your little darling!" Su Luoluo drawled, her voice dripping with insinuation.

"What little darling? Luoluo, she’s really not important at all," Fu Feng heard this and rushed to deny any connection.

"Oh, so there’s nothing between you!" Su Luoluo said, a smirk playing on her lips as she looked at the person whose back was turned to her.

’I’m not surprised someone likes Fu Feng,’ she thought. ’He’s so handsome, it’d be strange if no one did.’

’Still, I want to know who this person is.’

’And I want to know what Fu Feng is thinking.’

Hua Jinxin had managed to keep her composure, but after being mocked by Su Luoluo, she instantly lost it.

She whipped her head around and glared viciously at Su Luoluo. "You ugly... female! What right do you have to talk? Brother Feng isn’t someone you can even dream of having..."

Halfway through her sentence, she was stunned to realize that the plain-looking person before her, whom she hadn’t seen for just a few days, had become much more beautiful.

When the female had her back turned, Su Luoluo hadn’t thought much of it, assuming she was just another one of Fu Feng’s admirers.

But the moment she saw the woman’s face, her eyes narrowed instantly. "It’s you."

’So that’s why,’ she thought. ’I haven’t wronged anyone, so why would a bird suddenly come looking for trouble with me?’

At first, she’d assumed it was trouble left behind by her body’s original owner, but now it seemed there was another reason entirely.

’So, it was because of Fu Feng that I nearly died that day?’

"Luoluo, you know her?" Fu Feng asked, a flicker of surprise in his eyes.

’Hua Jinxin has always been domineering and arrogant, and she stays in the Upper Domain. How could Luoluo possibly know her?’

Hearing this, Su Luoluo let out a short laugh. "Why don’t you ask this old acquaintance of yours what she did to me?"

At those words, Fu Feng’s eyes narrowed instantly, his gaze sweeping over to Hua Jinxin. "Hua Jinxin, what did you do to Luoluo?"

"What could I have done? Brother Feng, I just played a little joke on her. She’s making a big deal out of nothing." Hua Jinxin batted her eyelashes, shooting a warning glance at Su Luoluo before shamelessly offering her excuse.

"Hah. That was some joke. A pretty big one, considering you laid your claws on me."

"Claws? Luoluo, did she hurt you?" Fu Feng immediately seized on the key point, his voice filled with concern.

"Yes. The bird at the Salt Well Cave last time—that was her!" Su Luoluo ignored the other woman’s warning glare and stated the fact plainly.

’My strength might not be a match for hers, but I don’t scare easily.’

’Back in the Post-apocalypse, I saw every kind of monster imaginable. Why would I be afraid of her?’

He remembered last time. If Xi Yi hadn’t arrived in the nick of time, Luoluo would be dead.

When Fu Feng heard this, his expression changed drastically. With a wave of his hand, he struck Hua Jinxin’s abdomen with his palm. "You dared to attack Luoluo! I won’t let you off today!"

Hua Jinxin had assumed this lowly female from the Lower Domain would be too afraid of her to tell the truth. She never expected her to reveal everything that had happened that day.

Even more shocking, Fu Feng was actually attacking her over some worthless female from the Lower Domain.

She struck back to defend herself, her face a mask of disbelief. "Brother Feng, you’re hitting me for her sake? If I get hurt, Grandpa Feng won’t let you off the hook, and the Hua Family will come after you!"

Fu Feng’s expression remained unchanged. His eyes were devoid of any warmth as he struck out with another palm attack, his tone freezing. "Do you think I’m afraid?"

"You harmed my female. I will not forgive you."

With that, Fu Feng struck again.

Hua Jinxin couldn’t block the attack and stumbled back several steps. After spitting out a mouthful of blood, she immediately summoned the Phoenix Order, which burst into flames to defend her.

The two exchanged blows. It was clear Fu Feng was using his full Power, and so, despite Hua Jinxin’s stubborn resistance, she was ultimately no match for him.

Watching from the side, Su Luoluo suddenly felt that Hua Jinxin’s strength wasn’t actually that formidable. Fu Feng seemed to be handling her with ease, holding a clear advantage.

’If that’s the case, why did Xi Yi seem to struggle so much against her that day?’

She couldn’t understand it.

Just as Fu Feng’s final palm strike was about to land on Hua Jinxin’s head, a golden light flashed, and he was thrown back by the rebound.

A pair of golden wings descended from the sky, soon coalescing into a human figure. It was a female in a golden feathered dress. Her headdress was ornate, her feather skirt magnificent, and she carried an air of nobility.

After making her move, she withdrew her hand and glared fiercely at Fu Feng. "Fu Feng, you’ve gone too far. The Hua Family will not let this matter rest. We will be speaking to your father!"

Fu Feng took a step back to steady himself, his expression unchanging. "Then I suggest you learn to control your daughter. She was the one who harmed my female first. Even if you tell my grandfather, I would still have done the same thing today."

"Hmph. Very well. We’ll see just how tough you are, Fu Feng!" Gu Wanyi declared. With a flap of her wings, she delivered her threat and departed with Hua Jinxin.

After watching the two overbearing figures leave, Su Luoluo walked over to Fu Feng and asked with concern, "Fu Feng, are you all right?"

Fu Feng shook his head. "I’m fine. She wouldn’t dare to truly injure me."

Su Luoluo was silent for a moment before asking, "Who are they?"

"The younger one is Hua Jinxin. The older one is Gu Wanyi, her Mother. They are from the Hua clan of the Xuan Bird tribe."

"Xuan Bird? Then they must be related to you Dragon Sparrows, right?"

’They’re both birds, after all. There must be some connection.’

"Not really. We were cousins five generations ago. One of their ancestors married into our family, but that was a very long time ago."

"So you grew up together? I heard her call you Brother Feng."

At first, Fu Feng answered cautiously, afraid that Su Luoluo would get the wrong idea and become angry. But as he listened, he sensed something was off about her tone. He raised an eyebrow, a teasing look in his eye. "Luoluo, are you jealous?"

Jeal... jealous?

’How could I be?’

Su Luoluo shot him an uncomfortable glare. "I’m not jealous. I’m just trying to understand that Hua Jinxin. Who knows if she’ll have another fit and come looking for me again?"

"She won’t, Luoluo. I promise you," Fu Feng vowed.

Even though Fu Feng said that, Su Luoluo didn’t pay it much mind. She was more concerned with needing to improve her own cultivation.

Thinking about what the older woman had said, she looked at Fu Feng. "By the way, you injured her. Will you be all right? I heard her say she was going to report you to your grandfather."

"You are my female. My grandfather can’t say much about me protecting my own."

After he spoke, Fu Feng’s gaze drifted down to Su Luoluo’s stomach. ’Worst case,’ he thought, ’if Grandpa asks, I’ll just tell him he’s about to have a precious great-grandchild.’
