"How do I use this System thing?" Su Luoluo looked at the glittering golden door that had materialized before her, momentarily at a loss.

The last time she’d seen something so high-tech was in a sci-fi movie back in the Post-apocalypse.

She had always thought such things were just fantasy, never imagining she would one day use one herself.

"Host, just step through it and state a location. The Any Door can take you anywhere you want to go."

Su Luoluo did as the System said, stepping through the door and announcing, "Wugou Mountain."

In an instant, she felt as if she had fallen into a time tunnel. A violent wind sent her hair WHIPPING about, and after a flash of white light, she landed on a mountaintop.

Su Luoluo stared at the dark, gloomy scene before her and couldn’t help but hug her arms and shiver.

There had been plenty of grim places in the Post-apocalypse, but none felt as sinister as this.

She had just lifted her foot when she spotted a palm-sized black scorpion right below it, waving its pincers as it watched her quietly.

A chill ran down Su Luoluo’s spine. Under the creature’s gaze, she once again activated the System’s Any Door and gave it a new command: "Go to the witchcraft room where the wooden doll is hidden."

No wonder this godforsaken place was called Wugou Mountain. The ground was crawling with scorpions and centipedes. In the brief moment it took to teleport, Su Luoluo had even seen snakes hanging from the trees, flicking their tongues as they stared at her coldly.

Su Luoluo quickly turned her head away, thinking with lingering fear, ’This is my first time using the portal, so I’m not very good at it. I gave the wrong destination just now and had to see all that nasty stuff. I should have just named the final stop directly.’

Having learned her lesson, Su Luoluo was much more precise with the location this time. A moment later, she landed directly in Hua Li’s room.

At a glance, this was clearly not a good place either. Though made of wood, the room was just as gloomy.

The walls were covered with gleaming white animal bones, skulls, and dried black scorpions and centipedes. If Su Luoluo hadn’t seen so many zombies during the Post-apocalypse, she would have been terrified by the sight.

Remembering her mission for the day, she steadied her nerves. After surveying the room, she began to search everywhere.

’Where would that Old Witch have put the effigy?’

While Su Luoluo was searching Hua Li’s room, Fu Feng was lying on a bed of beast skin, his eyes narrowed as he looked at the Dragon Sparrow Beastman kneeling on the floor. "You’re saying Hua Jinxin went to Wugou Mountain."

"Yes, Young Master. You told me to keep an eye on Hua Jinxin. I’ve been watching her, and I came to report as soon as she left."

To prevent Hua Jinxin from causing any more trouble, Fu Feng had specifically assigned someone to watch her.

He hadn’t expected her to go to Wugou Mountain in less than three days.

That place, if he recalled correctly, was home to the most powerful Great Witch of their Flower Clan—Hua Jinxin’s godmother, Hua Li.

’This woman’s witchcraft is vicious. There’s no telling what she might do to harm Luoluo.’

A glint flashed in his emerald green eyes, and in an instant, he transformed into a Dragon Sparrow and flew into the sky.

Seeing his master leave, the Dragon Sparrow Beastman hurriedly followed.

After finishing his cultivation, Xiao Ye was about to sleep when he happened to glance up and see Fu Feng flying out of the tribe’s territory.

Thinking about Fu Feng’s recent activities, his purple pupils constricted. He transformed into his snake form and flew after them.

Meanwhile, Xi Yi had just finished his bath and was yawning, about to return to his small wooden cabin to rest, when three figures suddenly streaked overhead.

He narrowed his eyes and instantly began making calculations with his fingers. After a moment, his expression turned grim, and he too transformed into a Black Bear and went after them.

The witchcraft room wasn’t large, but it was cluttered with all sorts of things. Su Luoluo searched through it all for a long time, finding plenty of chicken feathers, bird feathers, dog blood, and the like, but she couldn’t find the wooden doll.

Rummaging around, Su Luoluo found a basket in front of a wooden table and began to dig through it. She saw something made of wood and was about to pull it out when a hand suddenly reached over and snatched it away first.

Startled, Su Luoluo raised her hand, about to unleash a jet of water, but was taken aback when she saw a familiar figure. She asked in astonishment, "Fu Feng, what are you doing here?"

Fu Feng was also surprised to see Su Luoluo. "Luoluo, why are you here?"

Su Luoluo glanced around and said in a low voice, "The Heavenly God told me that Hua Jinxin hired someone on Wugou Mountain to cast the Devouring Human Technique on me. I came to check it out."

"I saw Hua Jinxin spending a long time on Wugou Mountain, so I came to see what was going on."

Seeing Su Luoluo rummaging through things, he quickly offered, "What are you looking for? I’ll help you."

The situation was urgent, so Su Luoluo cut to the chase. "A wooden doll carved with my face. The Heavenly God told me Hua Jinxin is using it to curse me to die from bleeding from all seven orifices in seven days."

"I shouldn’t have let her go last time. She really is a malicious female. I’ll search over here," Fu Feng said with a frown, pointing to his right.

"I can search the upper areas."

"I’ll search the lower areas."

Just as Fu Feng finished speaking, two different voices spoke up at the same time.

When Su Luoluo saw who had arrived, she asked in surprise, "Why are you two here as well?"

Xiao Ye glanced at Fu Feng. "I saw him acting suspiciously, so I followed him."

Xi Yi shrugged and chuckled. "What a coincidence. I saw you two acting suspiciously, so I followed you."

Hearing this, Fu Feng felt that something was off. He was about to speak, but Su Luoluo was already busy.

Seeing this, he said no more and focused on searching.

With three extra people helping, their efficiency increased significantly.

A short while later, Fu Feng found it inside a clay pot. "Luoluo, it’s here."

Su Luoluo hurried over at his words. Inside the clay pot was a small wooden doll carved in her likeness, surrounded by a dense layer of dried scorpions and centipedes. The sight was so disgusting it made her feel sick.

"Why is it so disgusting?" she asked with revulsion.

"Dried scorpions and centipedes can be used to cultivate Gu. She was still waiting to begin the casting," Fu Feng explained calmly.

"No wonder it’s so vile."

Su Luoluo suppressed her discomfort and shot out a jet of water to wash the small wooden doll clean.

After a moment, a wooden effigy that bore a high resemblance to her was revealed.

Seeing the wooden doll that looked so much like her, Su Luoluo increased the force of the water jet, using it to erode the carving. In no time, the carved features were worn smooth, disappearing completely.

’Now that her likeness is gone, let’s see how that Old Witch tries to scheme against me.’

’But would letting her and Hua Jinxin off so easily be too merciful?’

Su Luoluo thought for a moment, then her eyes darted around as she turned to the others. "Which of you knows how to carve wood?"

At her words, all three raised their hands. Fu Feng said proudly, "I’m very good at carving."

"I can too," Xiao Ye added immediately.

"Luoluo, what do you want to carve?" Xi Yi asked directly.

Su Luoluo raised an eyebrow and looked at the piece of wood in her hand. "Hua Jinxin."

As soon as she said this, Xi Yi and Xiao Ye simultaneously and silently retracted their hands.

Xiao Ye glanced at the person beside him and said flatly, "Let’s leave this job to Fu Feng."

Fu Feng looked unwilling. "Why me? Don’t you two know how to carve wood too?"

Xi Yi’s eyes narrowed with a smile. "Because you know Hua Jinxin. You should be more adept at carving her."

Su Luoluo heard this and thought it made sense. "Then Fu Feng should do it! Remember to make it a good likeness. I need to stuff this effigy back into the clay pot."
