Ultimate Master in the City
Chapter 136: In Front of Him, You’re Nothing
Chapter 136: Chapter 136: In Front of Him, You’re Nothing
Ah Dao turned to look at Cao Kun and said lazily, "I already told you, I’ve taken care of all of them. What are you still bawling about?"
"My men... You really... killed all of them?" Cao Kun stared at Ah Dao, his eyes nearly popping out of his head. In the next instant, his face turned deathly pale.
The silence from outside said it all.
"You... How are you so strong?" Cao Kun stared at Ah Dao, unable to believe his eyes. There were a hundred men out there! And they weren’t just some random pushovers; they were all experts he had brought from the provincial capital. But this big, oafish-looking fool had taken them all out by himself. ’How... how is this possible?’
Ah Dao looked at him and chuckled. "You don’t need to know how I’m so strong. You just need to know that you’re about to die!"
In the next instant, his eyes widened in a glare. "You dared to have designs on my sister-in-law. I’m going to beat you to death today!"
With that, he charged.
But before Ah Dao could reach Cao Kun, a figure abruptly appeared, blocking his path. The man glared at him and spoke in a cold voice:
"If you want to lay a hand on my Chairman, you’ll have to get through me first."
The newcomer was a brutish-faced, middle-aged man with a vicious glint in his eyes. The moment he appeared, a bone-chilling killing intent permeated the air.
Seeing the blood-red insignia of the Martial Arts Association on his chest, Cui Biao cried out:
"The Sixteen Vajras of the Martial Arts Association! He’s one of the Sixteen Vajras!"
Cao Kun, standing behind them, sneered at Cui Biao. "So you’re not completely ignorant. You’re right. He is indeed one of the Sixteen Vajras of the Martial Arts Association: Zhao Yunde, also known as Zhao Jingang, ranked eighth.
Did you really think you could act so brazenly just because you injured Jia Hai, that Jia Jingang?
Dream on!
Jia Jingang was merely a Tier Four Martial Venerable. But do you know what tier Zhao Jingang is? I’ll tell you: Tier Six!
Compared to him, you’re nothing."
Hearing this, Cui Biao’s face instantly went pale.
’Holy shit! A Tier Six Martial Venerable has shown up. How are we supposed to fight this?’
’A powerhouse of this caliber could do whatever they wanted, not just in Jiangcheng, but even in the entire Nan Prefecture!’
’Ah Dao was able to take down Jia Hai, so at best, he’s a Tier Five Martial Venerable. He’s an entire tier below this guy! That’s a tenfold difference in power! It’s game over!’
He looked at Ah Dao, his eyes filled with worry. If even Ah Dao couldn’t handle this Zhao Jingang, they would all be wiped out here today.
But just as Cui Biao was steeped in worry, the scene that unfolded next made his eyes bulge.
He watched as Ah Dao looked at Zhao Yunde, chuckled, then suddenly shot out a hand as large as a palm-leaf fan, grabbing for Zhao Yunde’s hair.
Cui Biao almost laughed in exasperation. ’My dear brother,’ he thought, ’that’s a move for women fighting in the street! Do you really think that’s going to work on a Tier Six Martial Venerable?’
Across from them, Zhao Yunde couldn’t help but roar with laughter. "Where the hell did this idiot come from? Using a move from a catfight against me? Are you trying to insult me? HAHA..."
He moved to dodge, his body a slight blur, but in the next instant, he was shocked to find that Ah Dao’s seemingly casual reach had locked off all his paths of retreat. No matter how he tried to move, he couldn’t escape. He could only watch, wide-eyed, as Ah Dao’s hand seized a fistful of his hair.
The next moment, Ah Dao yanked him down by the hair, simultaneously driving his right knee straight up into Zhao Yunde’s head.
With a sickening CRUNCH, Zhao Yunde’s head burst apart before he could even scream.
Red and white matter splattered all over Ah Dao.
Ah Dao wiped his face with the back of his hand, looked at Cao Kun, and chuckled. "You’re next!"
Everyone on the scene stared at Ah Dao, their eyes nearly popping out of their skulls.
Who was Zhao Yunde? He was one of the Sixteen Vajras of the Martial Arts Association, an absolute master at Tier Six Martial Venerable! Yet before Ah Dao, he hadn’t lasted a single move. He was just... gone. ’How... How is this possible?’
A flicker of fear crossed Cao Kun’s eyes as he watched Ah Dao, but in the next instant, he started to chuckle.
"You oaf. I never thought you’d be able to take down even Zhao Jingang. I really did underestimate you. You must be a Tier Seven Martial Venerable, right?
But do you think that’s enough to act so presumptuously before me?
Let me tell you, you’re not worthy!
I won’t hide my strength any longer. Time to show you my true power!
Do you know what tier I am? Let me tell you: Tier Eight Martial Venerable!"
"You’re a Tier Eight Martial Venerable! A supreme master!" Cui Biao shrieked. He had never imagined that Cao Kun was the real powerhouse here, let alone one of such a terrifying level.
’A Tier Eight Martial Venerable! That’s Tier Eight! He had never heard of such a powerful master in all of Nan Prefecture, let alone Jiangcheng. And now one was standing right here.’
’Who could possibly win this fight? Who could possibly survive this?’
’Ah Dao?’
’Not even Ah Dao stood a chance. He was a whole tier below him!’
Cui Biao’s face filled with bitterness. ’So much for getting excited,’ he thought. ’We’re still going to get wiped out after all!’
But just then, Ah Dao simply chuckled and strode toward Cao Kun with purpose.
Cui Biao, watching from behind, was practically apoplectic. ’My foolish brother,’ he thought, ’he’s a whole tier above you! Why are you going over to provoke him? Are you tired of living?!’
Unable to bear the thought of watching Ah Dao die a pointless death, he couldn’t help but shout:
"Brother, get back here! You can’t take him!"
The words had barely left his mouth when Cao Kun sneered. "Thinking of leaving? In your dreams!
You killed so many of my men and finished off Zhao Jingang. You’re not leaving here today. I’m going to rip out your heart and liver to offer up to their souls! Now, you die!"
With that, he swung his right fist, smashing it down toward Ah Dao’s temple.
The fist had yet to land, but the force of the punch sent a gale through the room. Cups and plates on the table were swept up, flying into a nearby wall and shattering into a thousand pieces.
Cui Biao’s heart sank to the pit of his stomach. ’It’s over. It’s all over.’ ’How could Ah Dao possibly withstand such a powerful punch? His head is going to be smashed to a pulp.’
But what happened next made his eyes fly wide open.
To his astonishment, Ah Dao didn’t even try to dodge. He simply raised his own right fist to meet Cao Kun’s head-on.
A deafening BOOM echoed through the room, followed immediately by a bloodcurdling scream.
Cui Biao watched, wide-eyed, as Cao Kun was sent flying. He crashed heavily to the ground, vomiting mouthfuls of blood. His right arm had been twisted into the shape of a pretzel, clearly and utterly destroyed.
Cui Biao’s eyes nearly bulged from their sockets.
’Cao Kun! The supreme master, a Tier Eight Martial Venerable! And he couldn’t even take one punch from Ah Dao before being completely wrecked?’
’How... how was this possible?’
Cao Kun lifted his head, his face a mask of terror, and screamed at Ah Dao.
"You... What tier are you?!"
