Chapter 137: Chapter 137: Shooting at the Slightest Disagreement

Ah Dao chuckled. "All you need to know is that you’re about to meet King Yama. That’s enough!"

With that, he closed in on Cao Kun.

Cui Biao, who was standing behind them, finally snapped out of it. He jumped to his feet and shouted in vindicated glee:

"Cao Kun, you piece of shit! Not so arrogant now, are you? It’s payback time!"

He then turned to Ah Dao, gritting his teeth. "Brother, don’t kill him! Leave him alive for me. I need to carve him up piece by piece with my own fucking hands to get rid of this hatred in my heart!"

Cui Biao had barely finished speaking when a flurry of urgent footsteps echoed from outside, followed by an authoritative voice:

"Carve someone up piece by piece? Cui the Louse, you’ve got a lot of nerve!"

As the voice faded, a group of people stormed into the hall.

Cui Biao had been feeling on top of the world, so hearing someone openly challenge him felt like getting a mouthful of piss. It was utterly sickening.

He whipped his head around, glared at the newcomers, and roared, "Who the fuck do you think you are, challenging me? Believe it or not, I’ll fucking kill you—"

Before he could finish, dozens of dark gun barrels were suddenly aimed right at him. Cui Biao choked, the words dying in his throat as if a hand had clamped around his neck.

Just then, a middle-aged man in a commander’s uniform strode into the hall.

Upon seeing the man, Cui Biao cried out.

"Commander Huang! It’s you!"

The newcomer was none other than Huang Zhong, the supreme commander of the Jiangcheng garrison.

Seeing Huang Zhong, Cao Kun, who was still on the floor, burst out laughing. "Ye Feng, did you really think you had this in the bag? Did you really think you were in control? You’re dreaming!

Let me tell you the truth. Commander Huang is one of us, from the Martial Arts Association. His arrival today was my last resort.

Ye Feng, you may have a subordinate with some skills, but do you think he can withstand hundreds of bullets? He can’t. So today, not only will this oaf die, but you’ll die too. And your woman? She’ll still be mine. Understand? HA HA HA..."

He then looked at Huang Zhong and snarled through gritted teeth, "Commander Huang, do it! Shoot that big lummox dead for me! Kill him!"

Huang Zhong nodded and was about to give the order when Cui Biao, standing nearby, forced a sycophantic smile. "Commander Huang, this man is my brother. Could you do me a favor and let him go? Please..."

Before he could finish, Huang Zhong slapped him hard across the face. He glared at Cui Biao and said coldly, "Do you a favor? Who the hell do you think you are? You think you’re worthy of me giving you face?

I’ve only been away from Jiangcheng for a few days, Cui Biao, and you’re already running wild. You even brought men to seize the Martial Arts Association’s territory. Let me ask you: Who gave you the balls? Who’s backing you?"

With that, he slapped him again.

Cui Biao’s face was already bruised and swollen, but he didn’t dare fight back.

’Fight back? Like hell I would, not with all these guns pointed at me!’

But in the next moment, a large hand shot out from the side and slapped Huang Zhong across the face.

CRACK! The sound was sharp, and one side of Huang Zhong’s face instantly swelled up.

Just then, a calm voice spoke from behind him. "I gave him the balls. Is that a problem? I’m his backing. Is that a problem?"

The one who had struck him was Ye Feng.

The slap left everyone in the room stunned.

My God, who was Huang Zhong? He was the commander of the Jiangcheng garrison, a man whose every call was answered. And Ye Feng had just slapped him in front of everyone?

Talk about having the heart of a bear and the gall of a leopard!

Huang Zhong himself was frozen, staring blankly at Ye Feng. He couldn’t believe he’d just been slapped.

It took him a long moment to react. When he did, he exploded in fury, pointing a trembling finger at Ye Feng and roaring, "You piece of shit, you dare hit me? You’re fucking looking for death!"

He turned to the garrison soldiers behind him and bellowed, "Shoot him! Shoot him dead for me!"

Instantly, dozens of dark gun barrels swiveled to aim at Ye Feng.

Seeing Ye Feng held at gunpoint, Xiao Yufei and the other girls screamed in terror.

Cao Kun struggled to his feet, laughing maniacally at Ye Feng. "The game is over, Ye Feng! In the end, you lose, and I win! Your wealth, your woman—they’re all mine! HA HA HA..."

He then turned to Huang Zhong and shrieked, "Fire! Fire!"

Standing in the back, Cui Biao’s heart sank to his stomach. ’It’s over. Ye Feng is finished.’

’Even an immortal can’t dodge a bullet, let alone a mortal like Ye Feng.’

The girls behind him had faces as pale as death.

But just then, more hurried footsteps sounded from outside, followed by a bone-chillingly cold voice. "Whoever dares to fire will be killed without mercy!"

As the voice faded, a tall, stunningly beautiful woman with features as if from a painting strode in, dressed in a red combat uniform.

Hearing someone dare to openly challenge him, Huang Zhong flew into another rage. He spun around to face the newcomer and roared, "Who the fuck do you think you are? What gives you the right to act so high and mighty in front of me—"

He trailed off as he finally got a clear look at the person. His face instantly turned ashen, and he couldn’t help but shriek, "Meng War God! You’re the Meng War God!"

The newcomer was none other than Meng Jiaxin, the Eastern Domain War God of the Great Xia Empire.

Snapping to his senses, Huang Zhong swallowed hard. He staggered over to Meng Jiaxin, his legs gave out, and he collapsed to his knees with a THUD. In a trembling voice, he cried, "Meng War God! I was blind! I didn’t recognize you! Please forgive my offensive words!"

’What in the world?’ Huang Zhong wondered. ’What is a titan like her doing in a shithole like this?’

But he quickly understood why.

Meng Jiaxin didn’t even spare him a glance. She walked straight to Ye Feng, looked at him, and announced boldly, "Little brother, big sister is here to back you up today."

BOOM!

Meng Jiaxin’s words crashed over Huang Zhong’s head like a clap of thunder. He froze in place, as if he’d been struck by lightning.

’Ye Feng is the War God’s little brother?’

’My God, I actually provoked the War God’s little brother? That wasn’t courage, that was suicide!’

Cold sweat streamed down his back. He scrambled to his feet, staggered over to Ye Feng, and cried out with a fawning smile, "Oh, I truly didn’t know you were the Meng War God’s brother! I wouldn’t have dared trouble you in a million years! Please accept my humblest apologies..."

But before he could finish, the cold steel of a gun barrel was pressed against his forehead. Meng Jiaxin’s voice, colder than ice, followed.

"You were supposed to keep the peace and protect the people of this region. Instead, you used the power they entrusted to you to run rampant and play tyrant. The people are better off without trash like you. So, on their behalf, I’ll take you out."

Feeling the immense killing intent radiating from Meng Jiaxin, Huang Zhong was terrified out of his wits. He dropped to his knees with another THUD and pleaded, "Meng War God, spare me! I’ll never do it again, I swear..."

But before he could finish, there was a muffled BANG. A hole was bored straight through his head.

Huang Zhong’s body fell backward, twitched a few times, and then went still.

Cao Kun saw this and was completely dumbfounded.

’She just shoots someone if she doesn’t like what they say? This woman... she’s another ruthless one!’

Looking at Huang Zhong’s corpse and then at the fallen Zhao Yunde, he knew the situation was lost. He struggled to get up, preparing to drag his heavily injured body away.

But just then, a cold voice sounded from behind him. "Trying to leave? Did I say you could?"

As the voice spoke, a figure blocked his path. The cold muzzle of a gun was pressed against his forehead.

An icy killing intent instantly flooded Cao Kun’s mind.
