Chapter 182: Chapter 182: Such a Hot Temper, You Should Take a Shower to Cool Down

Ye Feng looked at Xu Qiqi and said calmly,

"Qiqi, bring me a couple of fruit platters. I’m thirsty."

Xu Qiqi could hardly believe her ears. ’People are on their way to kill us, and you’re in the mood for fruit? How can you be so relaxed?’

But she quickly snapped out of it. She nodded, turned and left, and came back with several fruit platters, placing them in front of Ye Feng.

Ye Feng picked up a toothpick and began eating elegantly.

Tang Bao glared at Ye Feng, grinding his teeth. "Go on, eat up. It’s your last meal..."

His words had barely left his mouth when Ah Dao sent him flying with a kick. He landed at Ye Feng’s feet, who immediately stomped down on his neck.

Ye Feng spoke calmly, "You’re not completely useless after all. You make a decent footstool."

A footstool?

’I’m just a fucking footstool to you?’

Tang Bao glared at Ye Feng, wishing he could tear him to pieces.

But feeling the terrifying killing intent radiating from Ye Feng, Tang Bao opened his mouth, then closed it, not daring to make a sound.

Before long, the sound of urgent footsteps echoed from the hallway, and a group of people burst in.

Leading them was a short, stocky middle-aged man with a buzz cut and a vicious look in his eyes. A scar ran from his left eye all the way to the corner of his mouth, looking like a blood-red centipede crawling on his face and adding to his ferocious appearance.

This was the Patriarch of the Tang family, Tang Wen, whose family ranked second among the four great houses of Nanjun.

Seeing Tang Wen arrive, Tang Bao acted as if he’d just grabbed a life-saving rope, crying out,

"Dad, they’re bullying me to death! I can’t go on like this!"

Tang Wen’s gaze swept over Zhou Wan, who lay dead on the floor, and then to Tang Bao, pinned under Ye Feng’s foot. His son’s nose was caved in, one eye was nothing but a bloody socket, and his face was a mess of gore. A beast-like roar escaped Tang Wen’s lips.

"AARGH..."

He stared at Ye Feng, his eyes bloodshot, and roared, "You killed my woman and beat my son to this state! You must have a fucking death wish!"

Tang Bao shrieked, "My dad’s here, you bastard! Let me go! Let me go now!"

The moment he finished speaking, Ye Feng’s right foot stomped down. With a sickening CRACK of breaking bones, Tang Bao’s neck was snapped.

Ye Feng said with displeasure, "Can’t you see I’m eating fruit? What’s with all the noise?"

Watching Tang Bao die so horribly, Tang Wen let out a mournful shriek. "My son!"

The next moment, he couldn’t help but break down in tears. It was a long while before he managed to compose himself. He stared at Ye Feng and bit out each word:

"Bastard, I’m going to slice you up, piece by piece."

With that, he roared at the men behind him, "Get him! Kill him for me!"

The men behind him roared in agreement, grabbed their weapons, and charged at Ye Feng.

But before they could reach Ye Feng, Ah Dao stepped forward, blocking their path. His massive fists smashed into them.

All of them were knocked to the ground, dead before they hit the floor.

Tang Wen’s pupils contracted. ’This man’s skills are terrifying.’ But in the next instant, his eyes turned blood-red again. "You bastard! You really think one helper is enough to let you run wild in Nanjun? To walk all over me, Tang Wen? In your dreams!

"You have no idea how deep the Tang family’s foundation runs. You’re about to find out just who you’ve provoked!"

He then grabbed his phone and made a call. When it connected, Tang Wen’s voice trembled as he yelled, "Second Brother, it’s me! Your nephew’s been killed! They’re grinding my face into the mud here!"

An furious roar came from the other end of the line. "Someone dares to touch the Tang family? I’m coming over right now. I want to see what kind of big shot this is."

Then, with a CLICK, the call was disconnected.

Tang Wen put down his phone and looked at Ye Feng, his voice cold. "Do you know who I just called? My brother, Tang Wu. Do you know who he is? Let me tell you: he’s the commander of the Nanjun Garrison.

"So what if you know some three-legged-cat kung fu? Can you withstand guns and cannons? You can’t. That’s why you’re still going to die today. Die!"

Xu Qiqi’s face went pale with fright. She looked up at Ye Feng, her voice trembling as she called out,

"Young Master!"

But Ye Feng just clapped his hands and said, "I’ve been eating fruit all this time, and it hasn’t quenched my thirst. Qiqi, go brew me a pot of hot tea!"

Tea? Now?

Xu Qiqi’s almond eyes went wide; she could hardly believe her ears.

’This man’s nerve is unbelievable!’

It took her a long moment to process this. Shaking slightly, Xu Qiqi turned and left, quickly returning with a pot of hot tea. Ye Feng poured a cup and began to drink leisurely.

But just then, the sound of heavy military boots striking the floor echoed from the hallway: CLACK, CLACK, CLACK, CLACK...

The sound was uniform and rhythmic, clearly the mark of well-trained soldiers. The footsteps quickly reached the door.

Xu Qiqi turned to look, and her face instantly turned as white as a sheet. A squad of fully armed garrison soldiers burst in, the dark muzzles of their guns already locked onto everyone in the room.

The next moment, a short, stocky man in a commander’s uniform, bearing a strong resemblance to Tang Wen, walked into the room.

It was none other than Tang Wen’s younger brother, the commander of the Nanjun Garrison, Tang Wu.

Seeing Tang Wu, Tang Wen immediately started wailing. "Second Brother! My woman was beaten to death, and he stomped your nephew’s neck until it snapped! He’s trying to wipe out our Tang family! He’s leaving us no way to live! Waaaaah..."

"Who?! Who was it?!" Tang Wu roared, his eyes bloodshot.

"It was that bastard!" Tang Wen pointed at Ye Feng, his own eyes bloodshot as he roared.

Tang Wu whipped around to face Ye Feng, only to see him still sitting there, leisurely sipping his tea as if he hadn’t a care in the world.

Tang Wu was so furious he began to laugh. "Well, now. I’ve seen arrogant people, but I’ve never seen anything this arrogant. Today, I’m going to find out just who the hell you think you are. If you can actually intimidate me, then fine. But if you can’t, I’ll turn you into Swiss cheese! And if I don’t, I’ll take your last name!"

With that, he strode up to Ye Feng.

Xu Qiqi quickly stood up and tried to explain to Tang Wu, "Commander Tang, today’s incident really wasn’t our Young Master’s fault. Tang Bao came here and tried to assault me..."

"Fuck off!" Before Xu Qiqi could finish, Tang Wen slapped her across the face. He jabbed a finger at her nose and roared, "My nephew was murdered, and you’re still here spouting bullshit? Believe it or not, I could blow your brains out right now!"

Tang Wen gritted his teeth and said, "Second Brother, this bitch is the root of all this trouble! None of this would have happened if it wasn’t for her. Shoot her! Kill her!"

Tang Wu nodded, then abruptly drew his pistol and pressed it directly against Xu Qiqi’s forehead.

Xu Qiqi’s face turned white as a sheet.

But just then, the seated Ye Feng shot out a hand, grabbing Tang Wu by the hair. He slammed Tang Wu’s head down onto the table in front of him, then picked up the teapot and poured the hot tea all over his head.

"So much hot air. You should take a shower to cool off."
