Chapter 218: Chapter 218: Go for It, Oli-gei

The girl in the ornate gown helped the girl in the red dress to her feet. Seeing how swollen the girl’s face was, her brows knitted together. She turned to Ye Feng and said unhappily,

"How could you be so cruel? How could you strike a girl so viciously?"

Ye Feng looked at the girl in the ornate gown and said, "First, she was drunk driving and nearly hit someone. Then, she was rude to me. So I decided to teach her a lesson."

The girl in the ornate gown glared at Ye Feng. "What’s the big deal? How much money do you want? We can just pay you. Why resort to violence?"

Hearing the girl’s ridiculous words, Ye Feng laughed in exasperation. He looked at her, suddenly leaned in, and planted a quick kiss on her cheek.

The girl in the ornate gown froze, completely stunned. It took her a long moment to react. She glared at Ye Feng and roared in fury,

"You bastard!"

With that, she raised her hand to slap him across the face.

Ye Feng raised a hand and caught her wrist. He looked at the girl with a smirk and said, "What’s the big deal? How much money do you want? I’ll just pay you!"

"You... you..." The girl’s lips trembled with rage. She struggled to pull her wrist free, but Ye Feng’s grip was like iron; she couldn’t break away at all.

The girl was about to explode with rage. She glared at Ye Feng and spat through gritted teeth,

"Let go of me!"

Ye Feng, still perfectly calm, repeated, "What’s the big deal? How much money do you want? I’ll just pay you!"

"You..." The girl was shaking with uncontrollable anger.

Only then did Ye Feng release her. He looked at her and said coolly, "Remember this: Do not do to others what you would not want them to do to you."

The girl in the ornate gown looked at Ye Feng, her voice cold.

"I’ll remember you. You just wait!" With that, she pulled the girl in the red dress along, turning to get into their car. From behind them, Ye Feng’s lazy voice drifted over.

"Please, don’t remember me. You may be pretty, but I really don’t like your attitude!"

The girl whirled around, her eyes fixed on Ye Feng. She spoke, enunciating each word. "Remember this. You will pay a huge price for your actions and words today!"

Then she and the girl in the red dress got straight into the car.

But one last comment from Ye Feng nearly made her stumble and fall.

They heard Ye Feng say with a cheeky grin, "How huge? Could it be bigger than yours?"

The girl didn’t want to speak to Ye Feng anymore. She got straight into the car, started the engine, and drove off.

Just then, Su Youning came over. She looked at Ye Feng with concern and said, "Judging by her clothes, she must be from a powerful family. You’ve offended her. Are you sure you haven’t gotten yourself into serious trouble?"

Ye Feng watched the car drive away and chuckled. "Serious trouble? How serious can it be? Whatever tricks she has up her sleeve, let her try them. I, Ye Feng, will handle them all.

She almost hit you with that car. That crossed a line with me! If she weren’t a woman, I wouldn’t have let her off so easily today."

With that, he put his arm around Su Youning. "Don’t worry about it. I can handle this. Come on, let’s go home and check on Uncle Su."

Su Youning was also concerned about Su Zheng’s health, so she nodded quickly and went home with Ye Feng. To her surprise, they found Su Zheng already out of bed and eating.

Su Youning’s eyes lit up. She hurried over to Su Zheng and asked, "Dad, how are you feeling now?"

Su Zheng looked at Su Youning and roared with laughter. "I’m practically back to 100%! Ningning, you’ve really found yourself a fine son-in-law!"

"Dad!" Su Youning’s face instantly turned beet red.

Su Zheng chuckled. "It’s perfectly normal for people to get married. What’s there to be shy about!"

Then he looked at Ye Feng, his expression turning serious. "Ye Feng, what was wrong with me? How did I get so sick?"

Ye Feng looked at Su Zheng. "You were poisoned."

Su Zheng’s pupils contracted sharply. "You’re saying I was poisoned?"

Ye Feng nodded. "Uncle Su, you were poisoned with a potent toxin called Blood-Seal..."

"Blood-Seal? Impossible. If I’d been struck with that poison, I would have died instantly. The illness wouldn’t have dragged on for days," Su Zheng said, shaking his head.

As a man from a family of traditional medicine practitioners, he had heard of Blood-Seal before.

But Ye Feng shook his head.

"A large dose of Blood-Seal can indeed be instantly fatal. But if a minuscule amount is mixed into your food every day, it causes your organs to fail slowly until you die. By the time that happens, it’s almost impossible to find the cause of death. It’s clear someone wants to kill you without leaving a trace."

"So, someone wants to get rid of me quietly. Fine. I’ll have to find out just who dared to stick their dirty claws into this!"

As he spoke, a cold glint flashed in his eyes.

Just then, Yao Qing entered the room. She smiled at Ye Feng and Su Youning. "You two are together now, but your father and I weren’t at your wedding. That just won’t do. Tonight, I’m going to hold a wedding ceremony for you."

The words had barely left her mouth when Su Dingbang walked in from outside. "What’s all this fuss about?" he called out. "It’s already dark. Just let the kids go to their room and sleep!"

Su Youning was so embarrassed she wanted to dig a hole and hide in it. Covering her face, she fled back to her room in the west wing.

Su Dingbang looked at Ye Feng with a grin. "Well, Ye Feng, Ningning’s already gone to her room. What are you waiting for? Go on!

I’m waiting to hold my chubby great-grandson, you know! Haha..."

"AHEM, AHEM..." Ye Feng coughed loudly. "Old Master, let’s not talk about that for now. Let’s discuss business. I’m with Ningning now, so could you please return the Jade Pendant to me?"

"Don’t even try it," Su Dingbang retorted, puffing out his chest. "We had an agreement. When Ningning is pregnant, I’ll return your Jade Pendant. You’re asking for it now, so let me ask you: Is Ningning pregnant yet?"

Ye Feng was exasperated. ’Pregnant? It’ll take at least a month to even know that!’

’But can I afford to wait a month? No! My parents are out there suffering, and I don’t even know where!’

With this in mind, he looked at Su Dingbang and said urgently, "Old Master, that Jade Pendant is incredibly important to me. Please, give it back!"

"Oh, it’s very important to you, is it?" Su Dingbang asked, a sly grin spreading across his face.

"Yes, yes!" Ye Feng nodded like an obedient child.

Su Dingbang chuckled. "Well, my chubby great-grandson is very important to me, too!

If you want the Jade Pendant, don’t waste your energy on me. You need to be putting that energy toward Ningning. Strive to let me see the shadow of a great-grandson, and then I’ll return the Jade Pendant. Go on, you can do it!"

With that, he clasped his hands behind his back and sauntered off.

Ye Feng wanted nothing more than to bash the shameless old coot’s head in, but he didn’t dare.

The old man was holding all the cards.

Finally, left with no other choice, Ye Feng went into the west wing to plead his case with Su Youning.

Su Youning went straight to Su Dingbang. After much pleading, she finally managed to get the Jade Pendant and returned to her room to give it to Ye Feng.

Overjoyed, Ye Feng pulled Su Youning into a hug and kissed her forehead, saying with a smile,

"Ningning, thank you!"

But when Su Youning looked up at Ye Feng, her beautiful eyes were brimming with tears.
