Ultimate Master in the City
Chapter 259: A Fatal Situation
Chapter 259: Chapter 259: A Fatal Situation
They arrived at Su Youning’s room, and Su Youning couldn’t help but start whimpering.
Ye Feng looked at Su Youning and said quickly, "Ningning, please don’t cry. You know you have that heart condition. If you get this upset, it’ll flare up!"
Su Youning turned to look at Ye Feng, her eyes red. "You want something to look at? What, you don’t have one right here at home?" she said.
With that, she pulled down her skirt.
Ye Feng quickly wrapped his arms around Su Youning and offered a placating smile. "Ningning, you’ve misunderstood," he explained. "I was looking at Long Xi’Er’s butt, but not for any improper reason. It’s because she has a mark on it—a mark that’s a clue to finding my parents and our enemy!"
As he spoke, Ye Feng’s expression grew solemn.
Hearing Ye Feng’s explanation, Su Youning’s face immediately broke into a happy smile. "Oh, so I misunderstood you!"
A blush of embarrassment crept onto her face.
"You certainly did misunderstand me, Su Youning. If you dare doubt me like that again, I won’t let you off so easily!" Ye Feng said, reaching out to pinch her smooth, youthful cheek with a mock-ferocious expression.
"Ow, that hurts!" Su Youning cried, looking at Ye Feng with a pitiful expression.
Seeing Su Youning look so pitifully cute and shyly alluring, a fire ignited within Ye Feng. He swept her up in his arms and headed for the bed.
But just then, his phone began to ring insistently.
Su Youning pushed Ye Feng away, her face flushed as she said:
"Your phone!"
Ye Feng pulled out his phone and answered curtly. "Spit it out!"
Any man interrupted at a moment like this would be in a foul mood.
"You..." Long Xi’Er’s voice came through the phone, seething with anger. "I’m waiting outside. It’s up to you whether you come out or not..."
The moment she finished speaking, Ye Feng hung up with a sharp CLICK and muttered, "Throwing a princess tantrum? Why should I humor you?"
But a moment later, Long Xi’Er called back. This time, her voice was choked with sobs as she spoke:
"Ye Feng, my Father Emperor’s condition... we can’t delay any longer. I’m begging you. As long as you cure him, I’ll agree to anything!"
Ye Feng nodded. "Now *that’s* a better attitude for someone asking for a favor. Wait for me."
He hung up and pinched Su Youning’s cheek. "Ningning, I really have to go. The only leads I have on my parents are with them."
"Okay," Su Youning nodded obediently.
"Alright, go take a shower and wait for me to get back!" Ye Feng said, turning to walk toward the door.
At the door, he turned back and gave Su Youning a mock-glare. "And don’t you get jealous for no reason again, or I’ll have to pinch you when I get back!"
"Don’t you pinch me! I’ll be good!" Su Youning called out, putting on a scared face.
Ye Feng let out a hearty laugh, turned, and left.
Outside, Ye Feng walked directly to the Maserati Quattroporte.
Caiyun glared at Ye Feng and said coldly, "Get in. The princess is waiting."
As she turned to open the car door, Ye Feng came up behind her, swung his hand in a wide arc, and landed a resounding SMACK on her butt.
The slap was so forceful that his palm bounced high in the air.
"Ah—!" Caiyun let out a sharp shriek. She spun around, glaring at Ye Feng, and yelled with shame and fury:
"You bastard, what do you think you’re doing?"
Ye Feng looked at Caiyun, a wide grin on his face. "I’m not one to hold a grudge. I prefer to get my revenge right away!"
"You..." Caiyun glared at Ye Feng, so furious she was on the verge of tears.
"’You’ what? You’re just a head maid, and you dare to scheme against me? Try it again, and I won’t be so forgiving!"
Long Xi’Er stared at Ye Feng, her beautiful face icy as she spoke. "Ye Feng, you’re being insolent."
Ye Feng saw Long Xi’Er’s high-and-mighty expression and chuckled. He nonchalantly got into the car, sat down beside her, and wrapped an arm around her slender waist. He grinned slyly and said:
"Wifey, your waist is so soft!"
"Get your filthy paws off me, or I’ll chop them off," Long Xi’Er said through gritted teeth, turning to glare at Ye Feng.
Ye Feng smiled nonchalantly. "Go ahead, chop them off. But if I don’t have any hands, I won’t be able to treat your Father Emperor, will I?"
Ye Feng said with a wide grin.
"You..." Long Xi’Er glared at Ye Feng, wishing she could tear him limb from limb.
But Ye Feng just chuckled. "Long Xi’Er, I just can’t stand that superior attitude of yours. When you’re asking for a favor, you should act like it. Understand?"
Long Xi’Er trembled with rage. She stared at Ye Feng, so furious she wanted to castrate him.
She felt as though Ye Feng had made her suffer more frustration in these few moments than in her entire life, and yet she couldn’t do anything about it. Overwhelmed by this stifling feeling, the rims of Long Xi’Er’s eyes instantly reddened.
Seeing that Long Xi’Er was about to cry, Ye Feng decided to stop teasing her. He turned to look out the window, but in the next instant, his eyes narrowed sharply.
He looked at Caiyun and roared, "Stop the car!"
Caiyun yelled back, "I’m driving! Are you out of your mind—"
But before she could finish, she saw a tanker truck burst out of a side road, barreling straight for them.
Caiyun screamed and slammed on the brakes. The tires screeched against the pavement, emitting puffs of blue smoke.
But the car’s momentum was too great, and it continued to skid forward.
Caiyun froze, watching wide-eyed as the tanker truck hurtled toward them, an impact now seeming inevitable.
But just then, a large hand grabbed her by the collar. Her body went light as she was pulled into the air. The next thing she knew, she was outside the car. She watched helplessly as the tanker truck slammed into the Maserati. The truck shoved the sedan forward, sending both vehicles plunging off the adjacent bridge. The tanker exploded with a deafening BOOM, and flames shot thirty feet into the air. The sedan was instantly ignited, quickly becoming nothing more than a charred metal frame.
Caiyun clutched her chest, trembling uncontrollably. "That scared me to death... I was scared to death," she stammered.
But a moment later, she let out a piercing scream. "The princess! The princess! WAHHH..."
The words had barely left her lips when Long Xi’Er’s voice came from nearby. "Caiyun, I’m alright."
Caiyun spun around and saw Long Xi’Er standing right beside Ye Feng.
"Princess!" Caiyun cried out, rushing over to hug her, weeping with relief.
Just then, Ye Feng chimed in teasingly from the side, "Only remembering your princess now? Your reflexes are a little slow, aren’t they?"
Caiyun glared at Ye Feng and snapped, "None of your business!"
Long Xi’Er quickly stopped Caiyun, shaking her head. "Caiyun, don’t be like that. He just saved our lives."
She had watched just a moment ago as the two vehicles were about to crash. Her heart had seized in her chest. It was practically a head-on collision; they would never have survived.
But at the critical moment, Ye Feng had kicked open the car door, wrapped one arm around her waist, grabbed Caiyun by the collar with his other hand, and leaped out of the vehicle.
The instant they were clear, the two vehicles collided violently.
Without a doubt, if it weren’t for Ye Feng, she and Caiyun would be dead.
Remembering how Ye Feng had acted so selflessly, Long Xi’Er turned to him, her eyes suddenly bright. She said with genuine sincerity, "Ye Feng, thank you for saving us."
But Ye Feng’s next words caused the heroic image he had just built in Long Xi’Er’s mind to come crashing down.
