Long Ao said with a broad smile, "Don’t give me all this empty talk. Work hard and give me a big, chubby grandson as soon as possible. That’s what I really want, understand?"
Ye Feng coughed hard and beat a hasty retreat. Behind him, Long Ao burst into hearty laughter!
Ye Feng arrived at the Hall of Mental Cultivation and happened to run into Long Xi’Er outside.
"Why are you in such a panic?" Long Xi’Er asked, looking at Ye Feng in confusion.
Ye Feng blurted out, "Father-Emperor told me to work hard and give him a big, chubby grandson as soon as possible!"
Hearing Ye Feng say something so outrageous in public, Long Xi’Er’s pretty face instantly flushed crimson. She glared at him, a mixture of embarrassment and anger, and snapped, "You devil!"
Seeing Long Xi’Er’s charming and lovely appearance, a fire ignited within Ye Feng. He leaned close to her ear and chuckled mischievously.
"Xi’Er, how about we go and ’work hard’ right now?"
"You..." Long Xi’Er’s face flushed to the tips of her ears. She glared at Ye Feng, fuming, "If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll hit you! You better believe it!"
Seeing her completely flushed, Ye Feng burst into hearty laughter.
Long Xi’Er looked at Ye Feng, her expression turning serious. "Ye Feng, are you leaving right now?"
When Ye Feng heard Long Xi’Er broach a serious topic, his expression also grew solemn. He looked at her and nodded.
"My parents are still suffering somewhere. I have to find all the clues and rescue them as soon as possible!"
Long Xi’Er nodded and straightened Ye Feng’s clothes. With her head bowed, she said, "Come back as soon as you’re finished. Don’t forget that I’ll be here at home, waiting for you."
By the end, her voice had grown husky, and the rims of her eyes instantly turned red.
Seeing how deeply worried she was, Ye Feng’s heart warmed. He reached out to steady her and said with great solemnity:
"Don’t worry. As soon as I find my parents, I’ll come back as early as possible!"
Long Xi’Er hummed in agreement and nodded firmly.
Seeing her reluctance to let him go, Ye Feng chuckled mischievously, then leaned into her ear and whispered with a laugh:
"Can’t bear to see me go, can you?"
"Hm?"
"Then why don’t we go review our ’lessons’ one more time?"
"Get lost!"
Long Xi’Er landed a light punch on Ye Feng’s chest with her delicate fist, and he just burst out laughing.
Just then, his Second Senior Sister, Mu Qingyun, called him.
"Ye Feng, if you have a moment, please come over to my place."
"Okay, I’ll be right there." Ye Feng agreed at once. ’I’m about to leave the Great Xia Empire anyway,’ he thought. ’I should go say goodbye to my Senior Sisters.’
Ye Feng said goodbye to Long Xi’Er, left the imperial palace, and drove quickly to Mu Qingyun’s residence. When he entered the main hall, he saw several of his Senior Sisters sitting there, all staring at him coldly.
Ye Feng froze for a moment, then quickly forced a smile and said:
"My dear Senior Sisters, what’s wrong? Why the long faces? Is it going to rain?"
Third Senior Sister Chen Yun’Er slammed her hand on the table. SLAM! She shot to her feet, glaring at Ye Feng as she roared in anger:
"What’s wrong, you ask? You’re going to Malaysia—something this huge—and you didn’t even tell us? Do we mean nothing to you?!"
Mu Qingyun glared at him too and said coldly, "The old saying is, ’a man forgets his mother once he takes a wife.’ In your case, it’s ’get a wife and forget your Senior Sisters,’ is that it?"
Feng Qingwu, her own pretty face icy, added, "Ye Feng, have we doted on you all these years for nothing?"
Ouyang Qiu looked at Ye Feng. "So you’re all grown up now, huh? Your wings have gotten strong. You think you can leave us sisters behind, is that it!"
Finally, Meng Jiaxin slammed her hand on the table. SLAM! She glared at Ye Feng and roared, "Ye Feng, how dare you!"
Ye Feng didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. "My dear Senior Sisters, I’m just going to Malaysia to follow a lead. It’s not a huge deal. I just didn’t want to trouble any of you, that’s the only reason I didn’t tell you."
"How could I ever disregard you? In my heart, every one of you is more important than my own life!"
Before he could finish, Meng Jiaxin cut him off coldly. "Cut the crap. Don’t think I’m a fool. Malaysia is ravaged by war right now. Don’t you know how dangerous it is to go there alone?"
"Hiding something this important from us, and then standing here trying to talk your way out of it... you’re getting bolder by the day!"
Seeing that his Senior Sisters were genuinely angry, Ye Feng quickly put on a placating smile. "Alright, alright, I was wrong. I’ll never do it again, I promise. How about I sing a song for you all?"
"Under the big bridge, a flock of ducks swims by... Come on, come on, let’s count them now, two, four, six, seven, eight..."
Seeing his ridiculous performance, the sisters couldn’t help but let out a snort of laughter.
Meng Jiaxin shot Ye Feng a glare. "This is the last time. If you ever dare to pull something like this again, I won’t let you off so easily!"
With that, she looked at the other sisters. "Everyone, pack your things. We’re going with him to Malaysia!"
"No!" Ye Feng immediately cried out. "First Senior Sister, there’s really no need to make such a fuss! I’m just going to pick up a girl, that’s all. I’m more than enough on my own for that!"
The sisters: "..."
In the end, Ouyang Qiu looked at Ye Feng and said, "We’re not comfortable with you going alone. How about this: I’ll go with you on behalf of all the sisters. That way, I can help out if anything happens."
The other sisters all nodded in agreement.
In the end, Ye Feng had no choice but to agree.
Just as he and Ouyang Qiu were about to leave, Chen Yun’Er pulled her aside, leaned close to her ear, and whispered a few words.
Ouyang Qiu’s pretty face instantly flushed crimson. She punched Chen Yun’Er on the shoulder and exclaimed in mortified anger:
"You brat! Say one more word of nonsense and see if I don’t rip that mouth of yours shut!"
Chen Yun’Er giggled and dodged away. Blushing, Ouyang Qiu stalked outside. Watching her retreating back, Chen Yun’Er called out, trying to stifle her laughter:
"Go get ’em, Number Five! We’re all waiting for you to lead the charge!"
Ouyang Qiu stumbled, nearly falling flat on her face.
At that moment, the Grand Elder called Ye Feng. "Ye Feng, the private jet is ready. You can depart whenever you’re ready."
Ye Feng nodded. He bid farewell to the sisters and left the Mu family residence with Ouyang Qiu, driving off toward the airport.
As he drove, Ye Feng glanced at Ouyang Qiu, whose pretty face was still flushed, and asked curiously:
"Fifth Senior Sister, what did Third Senior Sister say to you that made you want to hit her?"
"Just drive the car!" Hearing Ye Feng’s question, Ouyang Qiu’s face turned an even deeper shade of red. She quickly turned her head to stare out the window.
Seeing her reaction, Ye Feng only grew more curious. He couldn’t help himself and asked again:
"Fifth Senior Sister, Third Senior Sister told you to ’lead the charge.’ What does that mean? I’m completely lost."
Before Ye Feng could finish, Ouyang Qiu whipped her head around and glared at him, shouting in exasperation, "I told you to just drive! Do you not understand plain language?"
Ye Feng was left speechless. ’What did I say wrong?’
Ye Feng muttered to himself as he drove, "Told her to ’lead the charge’... what on earth does that mean?"
Ouyang Qiu: "..."
By the time the car arrived at the airport, the Grand Elder and his entourage were already there waiting for them.
The Grand Elder looked at Ye Feng. "Xiaofeng, on this trip, if anyone gives you trouble, call me directly. I have five million elite troops stationed at the Southern Border, ready to march on Malaysia at a moment’s notice!"
Ye Feng’s heart warmed, and he took the Grand Elder’s hands.
"Grandpa, I won’t bother with words of thanks. When I return, I’ll come to your residence, and we’ll drink until neither of us can stand!"
"Good! I’ll have the finest wine ready and waiting for you!" The Grand Elder patted Ye Feng’s shoulder.
Ye Feng nodded, said his goodbyes to the Grand Elder, and boarded the private jet with Ouyang Qiu.
The jet taxied onto the runway, rapidly accelerated, then tilted its nose upward, piercing the clouds as it roared off in the direction of Malaysia.
