Chapter 401: With Me Here, Phoenix Will Be Fine
Chapter 401: Chapter 401: With Me Here, Phoenix Will Be Fine
The next moment, a flash of sword light tens of feet long streaked past. Han Qiang watched in astonishment as it slashed down from Ning Hao’s left shoulder.
A sickening squelch echoed, followed by a shrill scream. Han Qiang watched, wide-eyed, as Ning Hao was brutally sliced in two. His body crashed to the ground, entrails spilling everywhere. The scene was utterly gory, utterly horrifying.
"You... you..." Ning Hao’s eyes were fixed on Ye Feng, his gaze filled with disbelief. But soon, his pupils dilated. His head slumped lifelessly to the side, and he moved no more.
The group of black-robed men behind Ning Hao stared at the scene, completely dumbfounded.
After a long moment, someone finally reacted, screaming, "This is bad! The Young Master has been killed! Quick, report to the Great Emperor! Quick!"
Many of them snapped out of it. As they ran for the exit, they pulled out their phones, ready to make a call.
But just then, Ye Feng raised his right palm and swiped it horizontally. A flash of sword light shot out, slicing all of the black-robed men in two. They let out bloodcurdling screams as they collapsed to the ground, going still.
Ye Feng looked at their corpses and said coldly, "I told you. None of you are leaving."
Han Qiang stared at the scene, completely dumbfounded.
After a long moment, he finally came to his senses. He beat his chest and stomped his foot, shouting, "Heavens! Not only was the Judge killed and the King of the Wheel slain, but even the Fengdu Emperor’s own son has died here! How could the Underworld possibly let this go? Ye Feng, you’ve caused a massive disaster!"
Just then, Blood Phoenix, standing beside him, gritted her teeth. "These people have been shitting and pissing all over us. They deserved to die. I think Ye Feng did the right thing. As long as we lock down the news, who’s to know we were the ones who killed them?"
Han Qiang cried out helplessly, "What’s done is done. What else can we do?"
He looked at Blood Phoenix and shouted, "Phoenix, help me up. We need to go outside and check if any of the Underworld’s men are still alive. We have to eliminate every last one of them, or the news will definitely get out."
"Dad, you’re badly injured. Just rest here. I’ll take some men and go check."
With that, she headed for the door.
Ye Feng, however, just chuckled. "So what if the news gets out? If anyone from the Underworld comes, I’ll kill them."
Han Qiang shook his head. "Ye Feng, we should be more careful, at least until your master arrives..."
Before he could finish, a loud BANG came from the doorway, followed by a pained grunt.
Han Qiang spun around to see a figure sent flying back into the room, crashing heavily onto the ground.
It was Blood Phoenix.
At that moment, a cold sneer echoed from outside.
Ye Feng flickered and was outside in an instant. He saw a man in black robes streaking away into the distance.
The black-robed man’s cold voice drifted back. "Han Qiang, you really think you can hide this? You’re dreaming. I’m going to report to the Great Emperor right now. Just you wait for your entire family to be annihilated!"
Ye Feng kicked out sharply with his right foot, sending a long spear from the ground shooting forward like a bolt of lightning.
With a sickening THUMP, followed by a piercing scream, the black-robed man was sent flying by the spear and pinned to a large tree. The shaft of the spear still quivered. The man struggled for a moment before going limp.
Inside the room, Han Qiang screamed as he cradled Blood Phoenix, pressing his hand to her chest.
A horrifying, bloody hole gaped in her chest, gushing blood. No matter how hard Han Qiang pressed, he couldn’t stanch the flow.
Han Qiang’s eyes went bloodshot as he shrieked, "Doctor! Doctor!"
An old man hurried over. When he saw the bloody hole in Blood Phoenix’s chest, his face drained of all color. His voice trembled as he cried out:
"City Lord, it’s no use! Her heart has been ruptured. Not even the gods themselves could save her now!"
"AHHH—" Han Qiang let out a heart-wrenching cry, hugging Blood Phoenix tightly as he shrieked:
"My child, you can’t die! You can’t! If you leave, how am I supposed to live? *sob...*"
But Blood Phoenix’s face was already as pale as a sheet, her life force rapidly fading.
Cradling her, Han Qiang cried out mournfully:
"My child, don’t go. Dad won’t yell at you anymore. From now on, I’ll listen to whatever you say. Just please, don’t leave me! Please don’t leave me... *sob...*"
Han Qiang could no longer hold back and broke into loud, unrestrained sobs.
Everyone else in the room wiped away tears, but there was nothing they could do.
But just then, a calm voice sounded from behind him. "Uncle Han, I’m here. She’ll be fine."
The speaker was Ye Feng.
With that, he walked over to Blood Phoenix’s side.
The old doctor beside them looked at Ye Feng and shook his head. "Her heart meridians have been shattered, and the bleeding won’t stop. She’s about to bleed to death. That’s why I said not even the gods could save her..."
But before the doctor could finish, Ye Feng had already taken out a pouch, plucked out several silver needles, and with lightning speed, inserted them into major acupoints around Blood Phoenix’s heart.
The old man’s eyes widened, and he cried out in astonishment, "The Meridian Sealing Divine Needles! Those are the long-lost Meridian Sealing Divine Needles!"
A young doctor beside him looked at the old man in confusion. "Teacher, are the Meridian Sealing Divine Needles really that incredible?"
The old man nodded and exclaimed excitedly, "Incredible! Absolutely incredible! When the Meridian Sealing Divine Needles are used, they can instantly stop all bleeding, whether internal or external.
But this technique requires incredible speed and flawless accuracy in identifying and sealing the major acupoints. On top of that, it must be supported by Inner Strength.
The requirements are so high that no one in later generations could master it, and it was lost to history long ago. For this young man to have actually mastered it... it’s simply unbelievable!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Han Qiang shouted excitedly from the side:
"The bleeding’s stopped! It’s stopped! My child is saved! She’s saved!"
The young doctor looked down, his eyes filling with disbelief. The blood that had been gushing out just moments ago had indeed stopped completely.
The young doctor came to his senses and looked at the old man, shouting excitedly:
"Teacher, the bleeding has stopped! Doesn’t that mean she’s saved?"
The old man shook his head and sighed. "Her heart is severely damaged, and much of her life force is already gone. What’s more, she’s lost too much blood, and we don’t have the facilities for a transfusion here. She still won’t last long!"
Hearing this, Han Qiang broke down wailing once more. "My child, you can’t go! You can’t make a white-haired man bury his black-haired child! *sob...*"
Ye Feng looked at Han Qiang and said calmly, "Uncle Han, don’t worry. As long as I’m here, Phoenix will be fine."
With that, he lifted Blood Phoenix in his arms and walked toward a nearby room.
The young doctor behind him called out urgently, "Sir, my teacher already said she can’t be saved!"
But the old man stepped forward to block the young doctor, shaking his head with a sigh. "The young man means well. Let him do what he feels he must."
The young doctor stopped.
Ye Feng carried Blood Phoenix into the room and laid her on the bed. He looked down at her, shaking his head. ’I really didn’t want our relationship to become this,’ he thought. ’But I have no choice. This is the only way to save you!’
With that thought, he removed Blood Phoenix’s clothes and slowly lowered himself onto her.
