Chapter 409: Chapter 409: Whoever Dares to Dig a Pit for Me Must Pay the Price

The girl looked at Ye Feng with a forlorn expression and said, "The moment you held me and kissed me, my heart already belonged to you!"

’What the hell?’ Ye Feng thought, a stampede of curses galloping through his mind. ’When did I ever hold you or kiss you?’

Hearing the girl’s words, Feng Jia’s eyes filled with murderous intent.

But the girl was still adding fuel to the fire. She looked at Feng Jia and said, "Feng Jia, just look how handsome he is. And as for you... well, I won’t say it. If you were me, what choice would you make? So... sigh..."

She finished with a shake of her head.

Feng Jia whirled around, staring at Ye Feng with a grim smile. "You dare steal my woman? You must be looking to die!"

Ye Feng looked at Feng Jia, curled his lip, and said, "I already told you, I have nothing to do with her..."

Feng Jia looked at Ye Feng and sneered, "Don’t bother explaining. It’s useless. I’m going to kill you today, if it’s the last thing I do. All because you’re a little better-looking than me."

With that, he drew his longsword and charged at Ye Feng.

But just as he reached Ye Feng, Ye Feng lifted his right foot and kicked him directly in the stomach.

With a dull THUD, Feng Jia grunted and was sent flying sideways. He crashed heavily onto the ground, a trickle of blood already seeping from the corner of his mouth.

Ye Feng spoke in a cold voice. "You’re an idiot. I don’t care that she’s making a fool of you, but if you dare pull this stunt in front of me, I won’t hold back."

The girl walked over to Feng Jia. Looking down at him, she shook her head and said,

"Look at you. You’re not as handsome as him, and your skills are nowhere near as good. What reason do I have to choose you?"

Ye Feng was speechless.

At this, Feng Jia stared at Ye Feng, his eyes bloodshot as he roared, "So what if his skills are better than mine? That won’t change the fact that he’s about to die a violent death right here! Uncle Tan!"

As soon as the words left his mouth, an old man appeared, strolling leisurely.

The old man seemed to walk slowly, but each step covered a full twenty meters.

The moment the old man appeared, a chilling killing intent instantly filled the air, and even the surrounding temperature seemed to drop several degrees.

Clearly, his intentions were hostile.

Feng Jia looked at Ye Feng, gnashing his teeth. "You piece of trash. To beat me, you must be a Tier Three Martial Immortal, right? But do you know what my Uncle Tan’s cultivation level is?

Let me tell you, he’s at the peak of Tier Five Martial Immortal! You’re nothing in front of him! You’re dead for sure today!"

Seeing that things had gotten out of hand, the girl’s expression changed. She looked at Feng Jia and said quickly,

"Hey, Feng Jia, this is going too far! If you have your family’s guardian attack, how could he possibly survive? I was just joking earlier. Let’s not get serious!"

Hearing the girl actually speak up for Ye Feng, Feng Jia felt like his lungs were about to explode. His eyes bloodshot, he roared,

"Nothing you say will change my mind! I’m telling you right now, either he dies or I do!"

With that, he roared furiously at the old man, "Uncle Tan, get him!"

The moment he finished speaking, the old man’s figure flashed, and he was already in front of Ye Feng. The right hand he had kept tucked in his sleeve shot out, striking fiercely toward Ye Feng’s heart.

The girl behind them wanted to intervene, but it was too late. She could only watch helplessly as the old man’s iron-like palm slammed toward Ye Feng’s heart.

The girl said bitterly, "It’s over, he’s completely screwed. How could that bastard possibly block a full-power strike from the Feng family’s guardian..."

But before she could finish, a loud BANG echoed. The next moment, she watched in disbelief as the old man was sent flying sideways like a kite with a snapped string. He was already coughing up mouthfuls of blood in mid-air. When he hit the ground, his eyes rolled back, and he passed out.

The girl’s eyes went wide. ’My god, he’s that strong?’

"Uncle Tan!" Feng Jia shrieked. He staggered over to help the old man up and shook him repeatedly, but the old man remained motionless.

Feng Jia turned to look at Ye Feng, his eyes filled with terror. He never imagined that this Ye Feng could be so powerful.

Ye Feng looked at Feng Jia and said coldly, "Provoke me again, and you die."

In an instant, a terrifying killing intent enveloped Feng Jia. He was so scared the hairs on his body stood on end. He quickly lowered his head, not daring to look at Ye Feng again.

Ye Feng walked over to the astonished girl. With a slight smile, he suddenly leaned in and gave her a loud SMACK of a kiss on the lips, then turned and walked toward the Deng family estate.

The girl was completely stunned. She never thought Ye Feng would dare to force a kiss on her.

After a long moment, she finally snapped out of it. She glared at Ye Feng and roared furiously, "You bastard! Are you trying to die?!"

Ye Feng didn’t even turn his head. His mocking voice drifted back to her, "Anyone who dares to set a trap for me has to pay the price. I don’t want to waste my breath on you. I just want to get my Qilin Spear back."

The girl was so angry she was about to explode. She pointed at Ye Feng and roared, "You bastard! You just wait!"

With that, she stomped off angrily after him.

Behind them, Feng Jia abruptly raised his head. He watched Ye Feng’s retreating back, his eyes filled with venomous hatred. He gritted his teeth and muttered,

"Uncle Tan couldn’t kill you, but someone else will. So you have designs on the Qilin Spear, do you? Excellent!"

He then took out his phone and made a call, speaking in a low voice,

"My lord, someone has designs on the Qilin Spear. The Deng family intends to hand the Qilin Spear over to an outsider..."

Hanging up the phone, a vicious smile appeared in Feng Jia’s eyes. "You piece of trash, just you wait. You deserve to die for trying to steal my woman!"

...

Meanwhile, Ye Feng had arrived at the main hall of the Deng Residence, where he saw an old man sitting and leisurely sipping tea.

Ye Feng cupped his fists toward the old man. "Sir, I am Ye Feng. I have come today to retrieve my master’s Qilin Spear, which was left in your care."

The old man stood up, looked at Ye Feng, and exclaimed, "Ye Feng? You’re the disciple of that great immortal?"

Ye Feng nodded.

The old man burst out laughing. "Ye Feng, you’ve finally come!"

He invited Ye Feng to sit and poured him a cup of tea. "I am the steward of the Deng Residence. I will go report to the Patriarch at once and have him return the Qilin Spear to you!"

"Return it my ass!" Before the steward’s voice had even faded, the girl stormed in. She pointed a finger at Ye Feng and gritted out, "I wish I could kill him!"

The steward looked at the girl, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. "Miss, what did Mr. Ye do to make you so angry?"

The girl gritted her teeth. "He... he acted like a hooligan to me!"

The steward paused for a moment, then burst out laughing. "He’s going to be your husband. Isn’t it perfectly acceptable for him to act like a hooligan toward you?"

"He’s my husband?" The girl stared at the old man, her eyes widening.

The old man said with a smile, "Miss, do you know who he is? He is the great immortal’s disciple. Have you forgotten? Your father and the great immortal arranged a marriage contract between the two of you..."

Ye Feng staggered, nearly falling to the ground. ’Damn it, another arranged marriage.’

’Master really treats me like a stud pig!’

The girl stared at Ye Feng, her eyes flying wide.

At this, the steward said with a smile, "It seems there’s been some misunderstanding between you two. Sit down and have a good talk. I’ll go report to the Patriarch!"

He then prepared to turn and leave.

But just then, a cough sounded from the doorway, and a moment later, a middle-aged man walked in with his hands clasped behind his back.

The man wore a long robe, his beer belly protruding prominently. His face was also incredibly fat, his eyes narrowed to mere slits. He looked exactly like an old, wealthy landlord.

Seeing the fat man, the old steward hurried to greet him respectfully. "Patriarch!"

The newcomer was none other than the Patriarch of the Deng family, Duncan.
