Chapter 415: Chapter 414: Fengdu Emperor, Ning Xuan

Just then, Deng Ling’Er returned. She looked at Ye Feng and said, "Ye Feng, we’ve slaughtered so many people from the Underworld. That old fool Ning Xuan will hear the news soon, and he’ll dispatch his men immediately. He won’t rest until he gets his hands on what you have.

"I suggest we attack immediately. We can catch him completely by surprise!"

Ye Feng nodded emphatically. "Ling’Er, I think you’re a better commander than I am. You will lead the entire army in this assault on the Underworld!"

This time, Deng Ling’Er didn’t feign modesty. She smiled and nodded. "In that case, I am honored to accept the command!"

The Blood Phoenix at his side looked at Ye Feng, her voice laced with worry. "Ye Feng, the Qilin Camp has fewer than two million soldiers, Tongtian City has about two million, and the Deng family has under a million. All together, we have less than five million troops. But the Underworld claims to have a mighty army of ten million. If we go, can we really win?

"Besides, the Underworld has the Ten Yamas, the Five Ghost Emperors, and the Fengdu Emperor. These are masters of heaven-defying power. When the time comes, who is going to deal with them?"

But Ye Feng just smiled serenely. "Don’t worry, I have an ace up my sleeve."

Duncan, who was standing nearby, asked urgently, "Is the Old Immortal going to personally join the fight?"

Ye Feng smiled without a word.

Duncan burst into laughter. "I understand what you mean! With the Old Immortal joining the battle, what is there to fear? Members of the Darknight Deng family, hear my order! March with me!"

Han Qiang raised his great saber and bellowed, "Forces of Tongtian City, advance with me!"

The great host marched off in a vast and mighty procession.

Just then, Chen Yun’Er came over and blocked Ye Feng’s path. She looked at him with a plaintive expression.

"Miss Ling’Er has the talent of a great commander to help you. Phoenix has her supreme skills to help you. My own power is so low, and I don’t have any other strengths. Not only can I not help you, but I’m also becoming a burden! Oh, how I wish I could raise my power level!"

Ye Feng instantly understood the implication in her words. His face flushed red, and he started coughing violently. "Senior Sister, we can’t be reckless! You’re my Senior Sister, after all!"

"Then what about First Senior Sister and Fifth Senior Sister? Aren’t they your senior sisters, too?"

"COUGH, COUGH. They were all gravely injured. If I hadn’t used *that* method to save them, they would have died!"

"Oh, so you only step in to help under ’special circumstances’!" Chen Yun’Er said, watching Ye Feng with a sly smile.

Ye Feng suddenly realized this wasn’t going well. He said warily,

"Third Senior Sister, you can’t do anything rash. How about this? I’ll teach you the arts of the Xuan Sect. Then you’ll be able to help me. All right?"

Chen Yun’Er smiled and nodded.

Ye Feng pulled a yellowed scroll from his pocket and handed it to Chen Yun’Er. "Back on the mountain, you already studied the mystic arts with Master. You should be able to improve very quickly with this book. If there’s anything you don’t understand, just ask me."

"Deal!" Chen Yun’Er took the scroll, her eyes crinkling into a smile.

Just then, Blood Phoenix came over. "Ye Feng, teach me a thing or two as well!" she called out.

"Sure!" Ye Feng pulled another scroll from his pocket and handed it to Blood Phoenix. "This is the Art of Beast Taming. Once you achieve mastery, all the fierce beasts of the mountains and wilds will be yours to command!"

Blood Phoenix took the scroll with glee and began to examine it carefully.

Seeing Deng Ling’Er standing nearby with a knowing smile, Ye Feng walked over, pulled out a copy of *The Art of War*, and handed it to her.

"Ling’Er, you have the talent of a great general. If you study this copy of *The Art of War*, I guarantee your command of troops will be godlike."

Deng Ling’Er accepted *The Art of War*, tilted her head at Ye Feng, and said playfully, "A betrothal gift?"

Ye Feng broke into a fit of coughing.

Deng Ling’Er smiled faintly and put away *The Art of War*. Then she glanced at Chen Yun’Er behind him and asked,

"Another one of your women?"

"COUGH, COUGH! What are you talking about? She’s my senior sister!" Ye Feng shot Deng Ling’Er a glare.

Deng Ling’Er glanced at Chen Yun’Er again, then turned back to Ye Feng with a faint smile.

"She’s a peerless beauty. Can you really bear to let her fall into the arms of another man?"

Ye Feng froze. A sharp pang suddenly pierced his heart. ’Can I really accept that?’

Seeing his reaction, the corners of Deng Ling’Er’s lips curled up slightly. She changed the subject.

"Ye Feng, what in the world do you possess that would make the Fengdu Emperor raise such a fuss?"

Ye Feng shook his head. "My master told me not to show that item to anyone. If I do, it will just confirm that I have it, and I’ll be in even greater danger."

Deng Ling’Er smiled faintly. "In that case, you shouldn’t have answered me like that just now. If I were a spy, you would have completely exposed yourself, you know!"

Ye Feng looked at Deng Ling’Er and spoke with iron-clad certainty, "I trust your character. I have absolute faith that you would never betray me!"

Deng Ling’Er giggled. "You have such a sweet tongue, little man. But I don’t fall for flattery. If you want to win me over, you’ll have to show me some real ability. Hehe!"

Ye Feng was speechless.

At that moment, Ye Feng looked inward at the Nine-Story Exquisite Jade Pagoda within his Dantian. The pagoda was emitting wisps of True Qi that flowed into his Dantian, replenishing his Inner Strength.

The bottom five floors of the Nine-Story Exquisite Jade Pagoda housed Xiao Yufei, Nangong Xue, Su Youning, Long Xi’Er, and Xia Xingyu. The sixth floor held two of his senior sisters: First Senior Sister, Meng Jiaxin, and Fifth Senior Sister, Ouyang Qiu. The space beside them was shrouded in a hazy mist, making it impossible to see clearly.

The top three floors were completely wreathed in mist, making it even more difficult to see what was inside.

Ye Feng’s mouth broke into a wide grin. ’My five women only occupy the bottom five floors, and two of my senior sisters are on the sixth. Just what kind of monstrous prodigies would be qualified to reside in the top three floors?’

’Furthermore, only women who I’ve been intimate with can appear inside. The sixth floor is obviously the place for my senior sisters... Does this mean all five of my senior sisters are destined to become my women?’

Ye Feng’s face instantly turned beet red. ’Shameless!’

But he quickly thought of another question. ’Does this mean there are three more extraordinary women out there who I’m supposed to have *that* kind of relationship with?’

Ye Feng felt even more shameless. ’No, it’s this pagoda that’s shameless! It’s just as shameless as Sixth Master.’

’Whatever, I’ll worry about it later. Maybe this pagoda is actually quite noble!’

Ye Feng quickly chased after Deng Ling’Er and the others.

...

「Meanwhile.」

「Deep within the Cloud-Mist Jungle.」

A valley, filled with a dense, ghostly aura, emanated an unparalleled sense of gloom and terror.

Yama Valley.

At the mouth of Yama Valley stood high walls and a towering gate, making it easy to defend and difficult to attack.

On the walls, numerous figures in black robes patrolled ceaselessly.

This was the seat of the Underworld.

Within the city, the ghostly aura was even thicker. Squadrons of soldiers patrolled endlessly through the miasma.

At the city’s center stood a magnificent structure, guarded by an even heavier contingent of soldiers.

In the heart of the building was a great hall.

The great hall was incredibly spacious. Two rows of chairs lined the sides, occupied by numerous figures.

On the left sat the various Yamas.

On the right, the Four Directions Ghost Emperors.

At the head of the hall sat a dragon throne. A figure was reclining upon it, surrounded by a cloud of black mist that obscured their form, making them look like a mere shadow. However, a pressure, terrifying to the extreme, radiated out from within the black mist.

This was none other than the supreme leader of the Underworld, the Fengdu Emperor, Ning Xuan.
