Chapter 441 - 440: I Beg You, Please Don’t Give Me Money
Chapter 441: Chapter 440: I Beg You, Please Don’t Give Me Money
The moment he finished speaking, Song Kui smashed a fist into his face, knocking him to the ground. He then straddled the man and unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, roaring furiously as he did so:
"I’ll kill you, you blind fool! I’ll kill you, you damn animal, for causing me all this trouble!"
Song Kui was absolutely livid and held nothing back. After the barrage of punches and kicks, the man in the suit was covered in his own blood, on the verge of passing out.
The man in the suit stared blankly at Song Kui, his eyes filled with disbelief.
’Song Kui was famous for being fiercely protective of his own. He never tolerated his men being bullied, so what was going on today?’
’How could he turn on one of his own for some nobody?’
Just then, Song Kui finally let him go. He staggered over to Ye Feng, dropped to his knees with a THUD, and began kowtowing repeatedly, shrieking for mercy:
"Imperial Son-in-Law, Prince of Equal Standing! It was my subordinate who had eyes but failed to recognize a great man! He offended you, and I am here kowtowing to apologize!"
’Imperial Son-in-Law? Prince of Equal Standing?’
BOOM!
It was as if a bolt of lightning had just struck, and the man in the suit felt his scalp tingle so intensely he thought it would split open.
’He never would have imagined that the person he tried to extort today was such a powerful figure. This was practically a death wish!’
He couldn’t take it anymore. He crawled arduously to Ye Feng’s feet and began to beg for his life. "Prince, I was blind to have provoked you! I deserve to die a thousand deaths! I will sever one of my own arms as an apology!"
With that, he struggled to pick up a machete and brought it down directly on his own right arm.
With a sickening THWACK, his right arm was hacked clean off, and blood gushed out like a fountain.
But Ye Feng just stared at him, his gaze icy, without saying a word.
Seeing the undisguised killing intent in Ye Feng’s eyes, the man in the suit was nearly paralyzed with fear. He knew he was done for, completely and utterly screwed.
But just then, Su Mei, who was standing beside them, stopped Ye Feng. She shook her head and said,
"Ye Feng, we weren’t harmed, and he’s already been punished. Just let them go."
The man’s eyes immediately lit up. He kowtowed repeatedly to Su Mei. "Thank you, Madam! You are a Bodhisattva! You are Bodhisattva Guanyin! May you be blessed with many children and a long, prosperous life!"
Hearing his smooth words, a smile appeared on Su Mei’s face. "Alright, get up. We’ll let this matter go."
Only then did the man in the suit let out a long sigh of relief, his clothes already soaked through with sweat.
At this, Song Kui quickly got up and said to Su Mei,
"Madam, are you here for jewelry?"
Su Mei nodded.
Song Kui glared at the people around them and roared, "Didn’t you hear her? Hurry up and bring the finest jewelry here for the Madam!"
A little over ten minutes later, Su Mei was holding a heavy box filled with dazzling, priceless jewels.
Su Mei looked at Ye Feng and said, "Ye Feng, pay for them."
Hearing this, Song Kui, who was standing nearby, quickly cried out, "Oh, Madam! These are a gift to show my respect! You absolutely must not pay! I’m begging you!"
How could he possibly dare to accept money for them? He was just hoping this jewelry would be enough to appease Ye Feng’s anger.
Su Mei was dumbfounded. It was the first time she had ever seen a businessman beg a customer not to pay.
After the group left the jewelry store, Su Mei looked at Ye Feng and asked excitedly, "Ye Feng, you’re a Prince of Equal Standing? Wow, you’ve really made something of yourself! The Ye family is going to soar to new heights!"
Ye Feng smiled and was about to speak when his phone began to ring urgently. He picked it up and looked at the screen. It was the Emperor of the Great Xia Empire, Long Ao!
Ye Feng quickly answered the call. Long Ao’s warm voice came through the line: "My son-in-law, have you returned?"
Ye Feng quickly replied, "Father-Emperor, I just got off the plane!"
"Then why aren’t you hurrying over to see me? Do you even acknowledge me as your Father-Emperor anymore!" Long Ao said, feigning annoyance.
"Alright, I’m on my way!" Ye Feng said with a smile before hanging up. Then he turned to Ye Tianwen and Su Mei beside him and said,
"Dad, Mom, let’s go see the Emperor together."
Ye Tianwen was a free spirit who hated dealing with officialdom, so he shook his head. "You go by yourself. Your mother and I will just walk around for a bit."
Ye Feng nodded, then turned and strode away.
Su Mei looked at Ye Tianwen, a wide smile on her face. "Dear, this is the perfect chance for us to go see our daughter-in-law!"
Su Mei called Chen Yun’Er, got the address for her and the other girls, and then headed toward the nearby Wind Chasing Group building.
Ye Tianwen shook his head helplessly but followed Su Mei.
Su Mei pointed to a nearby commercial street and said to Ye Tianwen, "Let’s walk this way. It looks lively!"
With that, she and Ye Tianwen walked into the commercial street.
The street was lined with shops and bustling with crowds of people.
Su Mei sighed contentedly. "After being imprisoned for ten years, it’s so good to be back among the hustle and bustle of everyday life."
Absorbed in the scenery, Su Mei accidentally stepped on someone’s foot. An arrogant voice immediately snapped, "Are you fucking blind?"
Su Mei turned and saw a young man in an Armani suit with an arrogant expression staring coldly at her.
Su Mei quickly apologized, "I’m so sorry, young man. I didn’t do it on purpose!"
The man in the suit looked at her and said coldly, "You got my shoes dirty, and you think a simple ’sorry’ is enough to settle this? Dream on!"
Su Mei was taken aback for a moment, then quickly said, "Let me wipe them clean for you!"
The matriarch of one of the Four Great Families had once been an imperious figure, but ten years of imprisonment had long since smoothed away all her sharp edges. Now, when faced with trouble, all she wanted was to de-escalate.
With that, Su Mei bent over, lifted her sleeve, and prepared to wipe the young man’s shoe.
But what happened next made her brow furrow instantly.
