As they approached the sanatorium, Wang Chenning asked Wu Ziyue, "Have you cleared your schedule?"

"No!" Wu Ziyue replied with a single, icy word.

Wang Chenning didn’t press the matter.

This time, Wu Ziyue took Wang Chenning straight to Ling Weiguo’s side.

"Xiaowang, my boy, sorry to trouble you again!" Ling Weiguo said, beaming as he saw Wang Chenning enter with Wu Ziyue. "I really feel bad about this!"

"Uncle Ling, you’re being too kind. You’re the patient and I’m the doctor; treating patients is what doctors do, it’s as simple as that!" Wang Chenning stepped forward and gestured for Ling Weiguo to give him his hand. After a brief examination, he smiled again. "Your medical skills are truly miraculous. Old Lou said the same thing." Ling Weiguo instructed a nurse to help him prop his leg up on the bed, his voice booming. "A single treatment from you is more effective than months of their therapy. I can’t help but be impressed!"

"That’s because I’m a young miracle doctor!" Wang Chenning joked. "In any case, I’ll do my best to help you, Uncle Ling, regain full mobility as soon as possible!"

"I’m counting on you. I’ll be sure to thank you properly when this is all over."

Wang Chenning said no more. After a thorough examination, he began Ling Weiguo’s treatment.

The entire treatment lasted about an hour and a half. When it was over, Wang Chenning had Ling Weiguo take some medicine he had specially prepared for him.
