Chapter 183: Chapter 183: He Has Many Methods of Revenge and Is Skilled at Killing with a Borrowed Knife

Bai Qianxun hadn’t expected Wang Chenning to be so blunt, and his brow furrowed slightly.

Wang Chenning patted Bai Qianxun’s shoulder and grinned. "Lately, I’ve had quite a few misunderstandings with the Lin siblings and the Li brothers..."

"You want me to help you sort this out?" Bai Qianxun’s eyes narrowed as well. "That’s no small favor. My help is worth more than a few drinks!"

"Eldest Young Master Bai, you’ve misunderstood!" Wang Chenning said, shaking his head. "You’re familiar with all of them. I was hoping you could invite them to a meal in your name. Then we can all have a good time, drink together, and let these things blow over. All you need to do is get them to the table. That should be a small matter, right? I wonder, is such a small favor enough to fulfill the promise you just made?"

Bai Qianxun’s face stiffened for a moment before he burst out laughing. "Of course that’s a small thing! No problem. I’ll get them all here in a couple of days, and we’ll all have a few drinks. As for whether you can bury the hatchet, well, that’ll depend on your own skills, Brother Wang. HAHA!"

"You’re a real sport, Eldest Young Master Bai!" Wang Chenning had two more bowls of wine poured. "One last bowl. We’ll stop after this! I’ve already had something prepared to help you sober up, so don’t worry about passing out."

"Fine!" In the end, Bai Qianxun couldn’t refuse and downed another bowl with Wang Chenning.

After downing that last bowl, he finally couldn’t take it anymore and rushed to the restroom.

Seeing Bai Qianxun get drunk under the table by Wang Chenning, one of the rich kids who had come with him finally lost his patience. He angrily pointed at Wang Chenning. "Hey, Wang! Don’t think you can throw your weight around just because you can hold your liquor. Believe it or not, I can make sure you leave here horizontally!"

The guy had drunk a fair bit himself, and his inhibitions were long gone. Seeing Wang Chenning act so arrogantly, he couldn’t stop himself from standing up and causing a scene.

"Oh, so you’re even tougher than Bai Qianxun?" Worried about Wang Chenning, Zhao Xiao’an didn’t hold back when she saw the man explode. "A whole group of you can’t outdrink one man, and you have the nerve to talk like that?"

"This is men’s business. What’s a woman like you doing butting in?" the man shot back, his temper flaring as he stuck his neck out. "Piss off!"

SLAP! An angry Zhao Xiao’an slapped him across the face. "I’m teaching you this lesson on behalf of Eldest Young Master Bai!"

"You fucking bitch, you dare hit me!" The man, enraged by the slap, lunged at Zhao Xiao’an.

Luckily, two of the female companions who hadn’t drunk as much rushed over and held him back.

The two girls knew who Zhao Xiao’an was. Not even Bai Qianxun dared to cross the Zhao family’s princess, let alone anyone else.

If he actually hit Zhao Xiao’an, all hell would break loose.

But fueled by alcohol, the man had completely lost control. He struggled against the girls, spewing vile curses at Zhao Xiao’an, even screaming that he’d find people to gang-rape her.

Bai Qianxun strode over and sent the punk sprawling to the floor with a heavy slap.

"Motherfucker!" After knocking him down, Bai Qianxun kicked him hard. "Who the hell do you think you are, insulting Miss Zhao? Get on your fucking knees! Slap yourself until Miss Zhao is satisfied!"

Then, he turned to Zhao Xiao’an with an apologetic smile. "Xiao’an, I’m so sorry. Please don’t be angry. I’ll be sure to teach him a good lesson!"

His face then turned cold as he addressed the others. "Anyone else here who was rude to Miss Zhao? Kneel and slap yourselves!"

Wang Chenning stepped forward, patted Bai Qianxun’s shoulder, and chuckled. "Looks like everyone’s had a bit too much to drink and emotions are running high. Why don’t you take them home, Eldest Young Master Bai? I’m afraid when the full force of the alcohol hits, they might lose control and smash up my place."

Wang Chenning was actually kicking them out in front of everyone. A flash of anger crossed Bai Qianxun’s face, but he quickly suppressed it.

"Fine, I’ll get them out of here!" Bai Qianxun gave another hard kick to the idiot who had already stopped slapping himself. "Since Brother Wang no longer welcomes us, we’ll leave! Everybody go home to your mothers! And stop with the drunken antics!"

And just like that, Bai Qianxun led everyone away, much to the surprise of the people he had brought with him.

A few of the drunker guys, slurring their words, asked Bai Qianxun if it wasn’t a huge loss of face to leave with their tails between their legs like this.

"Shut up! Anyone else spouts drunken nonsense, I’ll slap them myself!" Bai Qianxun struggled to control himself. He knew he’d drunk too much, and once the delayed kick of the yellow wine fully hit, he’d make a fool of himself too. After ordering everyone who came with him to scram, he turned back to Wang Chenning, his own words now slurring slightly. "We’ll meet again in a few days. I’ll treat you to tea, Brother Wang. I hope you’ll do me the honor!"

"Of course, I’d be honored!"

"We’ll all be waiting to see whether you bring Xiaofei or Xiao’an with you then. HAHA!" Bai Qianxun laughed, clapped Wang Chenning on the shoulder, and strode away.

The people who had come with him practically fled from Qingqiu Pavilion, leaning on each other for support. The guy Zhao Xiao’an had slapped was at the very back, and as he left, he shot her a venomous glare.

That was enough to anger Wang Chenning. He lifted his foot and kicked the man hard in the ass.

With a miserable yelp, the man fell with a THUD right in front of Zheng Qiuhang, who was standing in the doorway.

Zheng Qiuhang also lifted her foot and gave the man a vicious kick.

"Keep running your mouth and you won’t be leaving here tonight!" Zheng Qiuhang threatened viciously. "You dare cause trouble at Li Garden Hall? You must have a death wish!"

A few of his more sober companions hurried over and dragged the unlucky fellow away.

After striding out of the pavilion, Bai Qianxun never once looked back.

Once in his car, he sped off, leaving a trail of dust and completely ignoring the cronies he had brought with him.

"Are you okay?" Zhao Xiao’an looked at Wang Chenning, her face filled with concern. "You drank so much. I’m worried you’ll get alcohol poisoning."

"I’m fine!" Wang Chenning said, taking a pill from his pocket and swallowing it. "I came prepared. The kick from yellow wine is slow, and so is the damage to the liver. I’ll be fine after drinking some water."

"That’s good!" Zhao Xiao’an breathed a sigh of relief.

Zheng Qiuhang, who had been even more worried than Zhao Xiao’an about whether his body could handle it, also breathed a sigh of relief when she heard his explanation and saw that he didn’t look unwell.

"Bai Qianxun lost a lot of face today. He definitely won’t let this go," Zhao Xiao’an sighed after they returned to the private room and sat down. "He came here tonight just to cause trouble. If we hadn’t shown up, his men would have started something for sure, and made it a big deal. Once things escalated, you would have had to come out. Then, he would have reprimanded them in front of you, made them pay some compensation, and acted like he was settling the matter. He just wanted to use his cronies to embarrass you and cause problems for Li Garden Hall."

"Bai Qianxun is more scheming than anyone," Wang Chenning agreed with a nod. "He’s much harder to deal with than the others."

"He might act all carefree and boisterous, but he’s the type to get revenge for the slightest offense. He never does anything that doesn’t benefit him. His methods of retaliation are numerous and vicious, and he’s an expert at getting other people to do his dirty work," Zhao Xiao’an warned, reminding Wang Chenning to be extremely careful of Bai Qianxun. "He’s always considered himself the foremost among Yandu’s young masters, a cut above the rest in every way. The moment you arrived in Yandu, you stole his spotlight. He won’t tolerate someone more brilliant than himself in Yandu’s circle of wealthy heirs."

Wang Chenning smiled and asked, "So, even if I don’t provoke him, he’ll still come after me? The proverbial ’tall tree that catches the wind,’ I suppose."

Zhao Xiao’an was taken aback for a moment, but finally nodded. "That’s exactly right."

Wang Chenning said, "In that case, I won’t let him off the hook either. I’ll put him in his place until he’s completely obedient. We can bet on it, if you don’t believe me."

Zhao Xiao’an asked, "What’s the wager?"

"The loser has to grant the winner one request. How about it?"

"Deal!" Zhao Xiao’an agreed readily, then asked, "Anything at all?"

"Anything at all."

"Alright! You’re on!"
