Chapter 459: The Two Sisters Are About to Fight

Before coming to dinner with Yang Xiaofu today, Wang Chenning never imagined something like this would happen.

Yang Xiaofu was certainly a courageous person. Wang Chenning had never disputed that.

He just hadn’t expected her to be so decisive.

From the decisiveness and assertiveness she had shown while handling the recent incident, Wang Chenning sensed that her attitude had changed.

Asking Yang Xiaofu to help him manage the film and media company was, of course, a test.

To his surprise, Yang Xiaofu agreed without hesitation and even declared boldly that she would take care of everything.

Yang Xiaofei was an extraordinary woman, so Yang Xiaofu couldn’t be much different. Wang Chenning had figured as much long ago.

“You’re a grown man. Why are you afraid of my sister?” Yang Xiaofu shot Wang Chenning a sidelong glance. “I don’t care, anyway. You promised me, so you have to follow through. You gave me a surprise, and I’ll give you one in return. Even though I’m still a student and my family doesn’t trust me with responsibilities, I believe I can do a great job at anything! You’re giving me a chance to prove myself, and I will definitely cherish it!”

She bit her lip, looking at Wang Chenning with confidence. “I told you, I’ll definitely handle my sister!”

With that, she whipped out her phone and called Yang Xiaofei. “Sis, I’m coming to your company tomorrow. I have something important to talk to you about. Don’t worry, it’s definitely not about your husband; it’s something else. Where am I? I’m having dinner with Wang Chenning! I’m about to get my period and my body feels awful, so of course I had to find Wang Chenning for some treatment. To get his help, I treated him to dinner. After a few more words, Yang Xiaofu hung up. She then turned to Wang Chenning smugly and said, “From this day on, I’m not afraid of my sister anymore! If she gets aggressive with me, I’ll give her the same attitude right back. I’ll show her and the rest of the family that I can do just fine without them. I have the ability, and I have the guts!”

“You weren’t really provoked by that little incident earlier, were you?” Wang Chenning asked, looking at Yang Xiaofu with a surprised expression.

“It’s not about what just happened, it’s about what’s been happening while you were away!” Yang Xiaofu shot him a sidelong glance. “When you were in Jiangnan, my sister, Zhao Xiao’an, Luo Yuqing, Li Fuzhen, and Li Yanxian all flocked to your side to keep you company. Even your female disciples had things to do, Zheng Qiuhang is helping you manage your affairs, and even that traitor who worked for my sister, Lv Qinglan, had a chance to be by your side and help you. Only I was abandoned like an outsider! I just want you to know that when I get serious, I’m not the least bit inferior to any of them. I can help you more than any of them ever could!”

Wang Chenning narrowed his eyes at Yang Xiaofu. “Why are you so eager to prove yourself?”

“I want to become the most important woman in your life!” Yang Xiaofu said with utmost seriousness. “It’s because you’re the first man I’ve ever liked, and also the first man to see my body!”

Wang Chenning didn’t mock Yang Xiaofu. On the contrary, he was touched by her words.

But he didn’t let his emotions show, simply smiling as he said, “Then I’ll wait and see what you can accomplish!”

“I definitely won’t disappoint you, that’s for sure!”

After dinner, Yang Xiaofu dragged Wang Chenning back to his place, demanding that he make it up to her by properly conditioning her body.

“Alright, go on and take a shower,” Wang Chenning didn’t refuse.

‘I really have been neglecting Yang Xiaofu lately,’ he thought. ‘I should make it up to her.’

“Brother Ning, will you come scrub my back?” As she was about to head to the shower, Yang Xiaofu asked Wang Chenning with a hint of shyness, “My back is really itchy. I think I might have a rash or something. Could you take a look for me?”

“I’ll take a look after you finish your shower!” Wang Chenning wasn’t about to fall for her trick.

Yang Xiaofu didn’t press the issue and just went into the bathroom with a change of clothes.

While Yang Xiaofu was in the bathroom, Wang Chenning replied to Yang Xiaofei’s message: “Your sister said she wasn’t feeling well, so I promised I’d help condition her body a bit.”

During dinner, Yang Xiaofei had messaged him, interrogating him about whether he was trying to make a move on Yang Xiaofu.

Wang Chenning had ignored it, leaving her on read for over an hour before finally replying.

“I’ll be there in half an hour!” Yang Xiaofei’s reply came. She told Wang Chenning she was coming over to warn Yang Xiaofu and to remind him to act with some principles.

Wang Chenning didn’t reply.

About ten minutes later, Yang Xiaofu came out of the shower.

She wasn’t wearing any underwear, just a robe.

“Your sister says she’s on her way to catch us in the act,” Wang Chenning said, watching Yang Xiaofu with a playful grin.

‘When a woman dressed like this, teasing you with such subtlety, it really could make your heart race and your imagination run wild.’

‘This kind of temptation was far more stimulating than wearing nothing at all.’

Yang Xiaofu ignored Wang Chenning’s mischievous gaze, completely provoked by her sister’s move.

“She’s really coming?” Yang Xiaofu sneered. She turned her back to him, decisively untied her robe, and lay down on her stomach. “Then I’ll just lie here like this for my treatment. Let’s see how she reacts!”
