"What do you mean?" Wang Chenning narrowed his eyes at Yang Xiaofei, who wore a teasing smile. "Are you messing with me?"

"I know you like me, and I like you too!" Yang Xiaofei’s smile turned mischievous. "Since the feelings are mutual, then..."

Before she could finish, Wang Chenning silenced her with a kiss.

Yang Xiaofei struggled desperately, but she was no match for his strength. In the end, she could only surrender.

Half an hour later, Yang Xiaofei was pleading for mercy. She insisted she was going to be late for work and begged Wang Chenning to let her go, promising she would never be so naughty again.

Wang Chenning leaned in, his face close to hers, and looked straight into her eyes. "Are you sure you can handle spending a whole day with me?"

Yang Xiaofei’s face flushed red, and she pushed him away. "You’re shameless! Is that all you think about all day?"

Wang Chenning straightened up and chuckled knowingly. "Well then, we’ll just have to see who’s really the one thinking about it all day."

The result was several pinches on his arms and legs from Yang Xiaofei.

However, once Wang Chenning started the car, Yang Xiaofei stopped messing around.

On the way, she asked him curiously, "Have you been conditioning your body since you were a kid?"

"You’re awful!" Blushing, Yang Xiaofei pinched him again, but quickly pulled her hand back when she noticed the complicated traffic. "Keep on bragging!"

Although Yang Xiaofei was no longer in her youth, she had never truly been with a man before meeting Wang Chenning, so her knowledge in this area was practically zero.

She was also curious: was her own stamina just poor, or was Wang Chenning really that incredible?

When in doubt, Google it. She decided she would look up the answer online later.

When they arrived at Yandu Hospital, Yang Xiaofei didn’t wait in the car this time, but got out with Wang Chenning.

By the time they reached the ward, the EICU doctors were already in the middle of a case conference.

The moment Wang Chenning walked in, they all rose to their feet to greet him.

The important-looking people from yesterday were nowhere to be seen today.

The patient’s condition had mostly stabilized, so they weren’t as worried. Besides, visitors weren’t allowed to stay in the EICU, and they couldn’t even see the patient, so there was no point in having people wait around.

"This is Ms. Yang Xiaofei, the President of Lingyang Group." Wang Chenning introduced her to the EICU medical staff. "She came to discuss a potential collaboration with me today and, worried I might be overworked, personally drove me here."

Yang Xiaofei greeted everyone politely, then sat quietly to the side so as not to disturb their discussion.

Wang Chenning reviewed the medical records, listened to the staff’s analysis and reports, and offered his own perspective. Afterward, he prepared to enter the patient’s room to check on them directly.

Before going into the room, Wang Chenning posted an update on his social media.

He briefly explained the situation, saying that the previous day’s exhausting effort had not been in vain.

He expressed his hope that after today’s treatment, the patient would be completely out of danger and could soon be transferred from the ICU to a general ward.

Wang Chenning had spent all of yesterday with Yang Xiaofei and had been almost completely out of contact.

It was only after seeing his post that many people realized he was at the hospital.

Consequently, those who had been annoyed by his sudden disappearance felt relieved and no longer dwelled on the matter.

Once inside the patient’s room, Wang Chenning spent over an hour treating them.

After the treatment, the patient’s complexion improved even more, a world of difference from their near-death state the day before.

Seeing the patient’s complexion turn so healthy after Wang Chenning’s treatment, the onlookers couldn’t help but exclaim in disbelief.

"Teacher Wang, your medical skills are simply miraculous!" Director Zhang Jingfeng exclaimed, shaking Wang Chenning’s hand gratefully as he came out. "I hope you can train more students to have such superb skills, to relieve the suffering of more patients and bring blessings to all humanity!"

He invited Wang Chenning to establish a doctoral program at Yandu Hospital to train a new generation of highly skilled traditional Chinese medicine practitioners for them.

After some consideration, Wang Chenning agreed.

Wang Chenning had a lot to do today—he still had a class to teach and a kick-off meeting for the new laboratory he was establishing. After a brief handover, he left the hospital.

Yang Xiaofei left with him, saying she had already arranged her schedule for the day and wanted to attend the laboratory kick-off meeting he was holding.

"Alright. If you want to come, then come," Wang Chenning finally said, not refusing her.

"You really are incredible," Yang Xiaofei said with heartfelt sincerity. She had, during his treatment session, done some online research. "More incredible than anyone."

Wang Chenning was delighted to hear this. "Scared now?"

"Scared, but I also like it," Yang Xiaofei replied, her face flushing. "Anyway, you have to spend tonight with me, too!"

"Fine!" Wang Chenning agreed. "In that case, I’ll pull out all the stops and make you understand just how high the heavens are and how deep the earth is. Maybe then you’ll learn your place!"
