Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny
Chapter 320: Masks Make Everything Worse
Several hours later, the group finally reached the outer region controlled by the Blue Mist Sect.
As they approached the territory, Damian suddenly stopped beside a large tree and glanced toward Cassandra. "Hold on."
Without explaining anything, he sliced off a flat piece of wood and began shaping it with Sword Qi.
Thin layers peeled away beneath his fingers until the wood gradually transformed into a clean half-mask.
Unlike Damian’s own dragon-styled mask, Cassandra’s was much simpler and more elegant, with smooth curves and narrow eye openings that matched her current appearance far better.
Once he finished shaping it, Damian painted the entire surface a deep crimson red before casually holding it toward her. "Wear this."
Cassandra took the mask and examined it with obvious interest. "What’s this for?"
Damian tapped his own mask. "Now that you’ve officially joined my [Forbidden Immortal Harem], you need one too. Everyone in the group has their own mask."
Cassandra glanced toward Cynthia, Linsey, Helena, and Evelyn. Each of them indeed carried their own dragon-themed masks.
She immediately understood why hers was different. Her cultivation had absolutely nothing to do with dragons anymore.
With her current Blood Demon Qi and crimson-black aura, forcing some dragon design onto her would honestly look fucking stupid.
Cassandra raised the red half-mask and placed it over her face.
She adjusted it slightly before turning toward Damian with an approving look. "Not bad for something you carved out of a random tree."
Damian placed a hand against his chest proudly. "Of course. Who do you think made it?"
Cassandra snorted. "Don’t get too proud."
The group continued deeper into Blue Mist territory, their identities now completely concealed.
They hadn’t traveled very far when several cultivators suddenly appeared ahead of them, blocking the road.
Judging by their blue-and-white robes and the mist-shaped insignias embroidered across their chests, they were clearly disciples of the Blue Mist Sect.
Damian immediately raised one hand to show that he had no hostile intentions. "Hey, relax. We’re just passing through..."
One of the disciples suddenly pointed directly at them. "DEMONIC CULTIVATORS!"
Damian froze.
"What the fuck?"
The other Blue Mist disciples reacted almost instantly, drawing their weapons as their Qi surged. "Kill them!"
Damian’s face twitched, and he quickly raised both hands. "Hey, hey! Calm the fuck down! We’re not demonic cultivators!"
The leading disciple thrust his sword toward Damian without lowering his guard. "Don’t fucking lie to us, bastard!"
His expression was tense rather than merely angry, as though he had already spent days expecting an ambush. "We’re already at war with the Nether Blood Moon Sect!"
Damian’s eyes widened.
Even Cynthia and the others exchanged surprised looks.
The disciple continued harshly, "This entire region has been sealed off! Nobody enters without authorization. Anyone wandering around here whose identity we can’t confirm is either one of their spies or someone helping them!"
Damian fell silent for several seconds.
He had expected problems when coming here. Maybe suspicion. Maybe difficulties contacting Serina and Miona.
A fucking war had definitely not been on the list.
Damian slowly rubbed his forehead and let out a tired sigh. "Goddammit... Of all the shit I thought could happen here, I really didn’t expect to walk straight into a fucking sect war."
Behind his mask, his expression turned complicated.
"Serina. Miona. Just what the hell happened while I was gone?"
---
Damian raised both hands again and decided to try one last time. "Listen, we’re seriously not bad people."
The Blue Mist Sect disciples stared at him like he had just said the dumbest thing imaginable.
One of them pointed at Damian’s dragon mask, then toward the masked women standing behind him. "You’re all wearing masks and suspicious-looking clothes!"
Another disciple immediately added, "People who hide their faces are always the fucking bad guys!"
Damian went silent. For several seconds, he genuinely had no comeback.
He slowly lowered his hands and sighed. "Goddammit... when you put it like that, we really do look suspicious as hell."
Linsey nearly burst out laughing behind her mask, while Helena muttered dryly, "Finally. Some self-awareness."
The Blue Mist disciples tightened their grips on their weapons, clearly unwilling to listen any further. "Enough talking! Surrender now!"
Damian rubbed his forehead, already tired of arguing, before glancing toward Evelyn. "Can you handle this without hurting them too badly?"
Evelyn gave a short nod. "Easy."
She stepped forward and calmly took out her [Glacial Starfall Bow].
The moment the weapon appeared, an intense wave of icy Qi swept across the area.
Frost spread over the nearby grass, and the temperature dropped enough for everyone’s breath to become visible.
Cassandra immediately turned toward Evelyn, genuine interest flashing across her crimson-black eyes.
"Oh? That bow isn’t ordinary."
Evelyn ignored everyone’s reactions and smoothly pulled back the bowstring.
In an instant, several pale-blue arrows formed from condensed ice Qi, each one trembling with a sharp freezing aura.
She released them.
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
The Blue Mist disciples barely had time to raise their weapons before the arrows struck the ground beside them.
BOOM!
Freezing Qi exploded outward.
Ice immediately climbed over their boots, wrapped around their legs, crawled across their arms, and locked their weapons in place.
Within seconds, every single disciple was frozen from the shoulders down.
"What the hell?!"
"I can’t move!"
"Break the ice!"
They struggled violently, pouring Qi into their bodies, but the frozen restraints didn’t even crack.
Evelyn calmly lowered her bow. "They won’t be moving for a while."
Damian nodded approvingly. "Perfect."
He casually walked past the trapped cultivators and gave them an apologetic wave. "Sorry about this. We really aren’t your enemies."
One of the disciples immediately shouted after him, "THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT AN ENEMY WOULD FUCKING SAY!"
Damian’s shoulders slumped. "Fuck."
Linsey finally failed to hold back her laughter.
The group continued deeper into Blue Mist territory, leaving the frozen disciples behind.
Cassandra, however, kept glancing toward Evelyn’s [Glacial Starfall Bow]. Her attention lingered on the weapon for several seconds before she looked back toward Damian.
A pleased, almost dangerous expression appeared on her face. "That weapon... is pretty interesting."
