Chapter 319: Connections Means Female Spies

Not long afterward, the wooden door slowly opened.

Linsey, Helena, Cynthia, and Evelyn stepped outside one after another.

All four looked noticeably weaker than usual, and even their movements were a little stiff.

Damian immediately noticed, and his lips curled into a shameless grin. "Oh? You four finally woke up."

None of them answered.

Damian looked between their embarrassed expressions and laughed. "What happened? Had too much fun with Cassandra?"

The four women remained silent.

Linsey looked away.

Helena clicked her tongue.

Cynthia coughed awkwardly.

Even Evelyn’s ears had turned slightly red.

Damian immediately burst into laughter. "Hahaha! Damn, so it really was that bad?"

Cassandra rolled her eyes and waved toward the food. "Enough teasing them. Come, come. Eat."

The four women glanced toward the roasted spirit beast meat.

Cassandra grinned proudly. "You must be hungry after I played with all of you. I was a little rough, after all."

That only made their faces even redder.

Linsey muttered, "A little?"

Helena shot Cassandra a look but still sat down.

Cynthia sighed and followed.

Evelyn quietly took a piece of meat without saying anything.

For a while, everyone simply ate in silence while Damian continued looking far too amused.

Eventually, he stopped laughing and raised both hands. "Alright, alright. I’ll stop."

Helena immediately replied, "Finally."

Damian finished the last bite of meat and leaned back. "After this, let’s have a proper discussion."

Linsey raised an eyebrow. "About what happened last night?"

Damian immediately shook his head. "Fuck no. Even if we did talk about it, are you sure all of you actually want to?"

The other three women immediately turned and glared at Linsey.

Cassandra burst out laughing.

Damian cleared his throat and continued, "I mean our plan."

That finally caught everyone’s attention.

His expression became more serious. "We’ve been wandering around long enough. Now that Cassandra is with us too, we need to decide where we’re going next."

Cynthia slowly nodded.

Cassandra’s grin widened. "Now that sounds a lot more interesting."

Damian smiled. "Exactly."

He glanced around at all five women. "Let’s eat first. We can make a proper plan afterward."

---

Once everyone had finished eating, Damian leaned back against a tree and finally spoke. "Alright. Our next destination is the Blue Mist Sect."

Cynthia immediately raised an eyebrow. "Blue Mist Sect?"

Helena frowned. "Why there?"

Damian casually crossed his arms. "Because I have some connections there."

Cassandra looked at him. "Connections?"

Damian nodded. "Demonic cultivator connections."

Silence.

All five women stared at him.

Linsey nearly choked on the last piece of meat still in her mouth. "Master... what?"

Cynthia’s expression instantly became serious. "You have demonic cultivator connections inside the Blue Mist Sect?"

Damian waved his hand dismissively. "Relax. It sounds worse than it is."

Helena stared at him. "It sounds exactly as bad as it is."

Damian ignored her. "Basically, there are spies inside the Blue Mist Sect."

That made everyone even more surprised.

Even Cassandra raised an eyebrow.

Damian continued, "They’re secretly connected to a demonic sect. I met them during one of my missions, found out their secret, and... well, we reached an understanding."

Evelyn narrowed her eyes. "What kind of understanding?"

Damian smiled. "The kind where I don’t expose them, and they don’t try to murder me."

Linsey blinked. "That’s your idea of a connection?"

Damian shrugged. "A pretty good one, honestly."

Cynthia rubbed her forehead. "Master, please tell me you aren’t actively helping them infiltrate the Blue Mist Sect."

Damian immediately shook his head. "Hell no. I’m not helping with that shit at all."

He pointed toward himself. "I’m still a righteous sect cultivator, remember?"

Helena muttered, "Barely."

Damian ignored that too. "It’s just a connection. That’s all. I’ve helped them personally before, but not with their spying mission."

Cynthia finally relaxed slightly. "Alright. That’s better."

Cassandra, however, had been watching Damian with growing suspicion. Slowly, a knowing grin appeared on her face. "Damian..."

She leaned forward, her eyes narrowing playfully. "Could it be that these spies... they’re women, aren’t they?"

Silence.

Damian stared at her like she had just asked the dumbest question imaginable. "Of course they’re women."

He spread his arms. "Do you even know who the fuck I am? If they were men, why the hell would I bother helping them?"

Linsey covered her face with one hand.

Helena let out a long, exhausted sigh.

Cynthia muttered under her breath, "Why did I even think to expect anything else?"

Evelyn simply nodded, as if Damian had just confirmed something painfully obvious.

Cassandra burst out laughing. "Hahaha! I fucking knew it."

Damian pointed at her. "Hey, don’t misunderstand. Nothing happened."

Cassandra’s grin widened. "Yet."

Damian froze for a moment before quickly coughing. "Anyway... moving on."

Cynthia sighed. "So the plan is to go to the Blue Mist Sect, contact these spies, and use their connection to reach the demonic side?"

Damian nodded. "Yeah. If I’m not mistaken, they’re from the Nether Blood Moon Sect."

He looked toward Cynthia. "Do you know anything about them?"

Cynthia frowned and thought for a moment before slowly shaking her head. "Not much. I’ve heard the name before, but I don’t know their internal structure or cultivation arts."

Damian raised an eyebrow. "Nothing useful?"

Cynthia sighed. "Only guesses."

Everyone looked toward her.

She continued, "With a name like Nether Blood Moon, they’re probably heavily focused on blood-related cultivation. Blood Qi, blood essence, sacrificial arts... things like that."

Her gaze briefly shifted toward Cassandra. "Probably somewhat similar to Mistress Cassandra’s current path, though obviously not exactly the same."

Cassandra grinned. "Sounds interesting."

Cynthia nodded. "Also... from what I’ve seen, sects with ’Moon’ in their name tend to have quite a lot of female cultivators."

Damian’s eyes immediately lit up. "Good."

Helena’s eye twitched. "That’s seriously the part you care about?"

Damian looked genuinely offended. "I care about everything."

Linsey burst out laughing.

Cassandra leaned closer, a dangerous grin spreading across her face. "Especially the women."

Damian coughed awkwardly. "Anyway... the Nether Blood Moon Sect sounds promising."

Cynthia could only sigh. "Of course it does."
