Chapter 409: The Ninjas Rage Quit Permanently

Miona looked down at the defeated ninja and glared at him coldly. "Alright, you bastard! Who the hell sent you to follow us? From what I know, we only just arrived in this city!"

However, the ninja remained completely silent, showing no intention of answering her question.

Helena frowned at his stubbornness before walking over and casually placing the sharp blade of her axe against his neck.

"Answer her. Now." Helena’s expression remained completely indifferent. "Otherwise, my hand might just slip, and I can’t guarantee your head will stay attached."

Linsey, meanwhile, casually twirled one of the stolen shuriken between her fingers before grinning playfully.

"Yeah! You better start talking! We’re actually being pretty nice to you right now, you know!"

However, before any of them could question him further, the ninja suddenly gritted his teeth.

CRUNCH!

Something hard hidden inside his mouth shattered between his teeth.

A moment later, dark blood began leaking from the corners of his mouth as his entire body suddenly convulsed.

Miona’s eyes widened in shock. "What the hell?!"

Aiko’s face immediately paled as she recognized what had happened.

"A poison capsule..." she muttered in disbelief. "So the rumors are actually true..."

She swallowed nervously before continuing, "The elite ninjas would rather die than surrender or reveal information about their missions!"

Helena immediately frowned and pulled her axe away from the collapsing ninja. "Goddamn it! These bastards really don’t mess around."

Miona clicked her tongue in frustration before immediately turning toward the remaining assassins.

Her expression darkened as she noticed several of them beginning to move their jaws.

"OH, DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE!"

Unfortunately, Miona’s warning came a moment too late.

The remaining ninjas exchanged brief glances before simultaneously gritting their teeth.

CRUNCH! CRUNCH! CRUNCH!

One after another, the hidden poison capsules inside their mouths shattered.

Within seconds, dark blood began leaking from their lips as their bodies convulsed violently.

Miona’s eyes widened in disbelief. "WHAT THE FUCK?! ARE YOU BASTARDS SERIOUS?!"

She immediately rushed toward the nearest ninja, grabbing him by the collar before he could collapse.

"HEY! YOU IDIOT! WHO THE HELL TOLD YOU TO KILL YOURSELF?!"

Unfortunately, the ninja merely coughed up another mouthful of dark blood before his body went limp.

Miona stared at the lifeless man in her grasp, her expression gradually twisting with anger. "Goddamn it! I was just trying to ask a few questions!"

She angrily tossed the corpse onto the sand before turning toward the other assassins.

However, every single one of them had already collapsed, their bodies lying motionless across the beach.

Helena stood nearby, staring at the ninja she had defeated earlier with an increasingly irritated expression. "Are you fucking kidding me?"

She kicked a small rock across the sand before shaking her head in frustration. "These idiots would rather die than answer a few damn questions? What kind of ridiculous loyalty is that?!"

Linsey, who had been happily playing with her stolen shuriken moments earlier, also looked stunned. "Whoa... They actually all did it."

She scratched her cheek awkwardly before muttering, "Damn. I thought we were just having a little fight. I didn’t expect them to kill themselves."

Miona clenched her fists, clearly furious that every single source of information had suddenly disappeared. "Those bastards! We didn’t even get to find out who sent them!"

Helena crossed her arms and let out an annoyed sigh. "Yeah, and now we’ve got a beach full of corpses instead of answers. Fantastic."

Miona immediately turned toward her, her eyebrow twitching. "Don’t fucking remind me! I can see that!"

Helena gave her a flat look. "Then stop yelling at dead people. They’re not going to answer you."

"YOU!" Miona immediately pointed at her, looking even more irritated.

Linsey couldn’t help chuckling at their argument, although she quickly covered her mouth when Miona glared at her.

Meanwhile, Aiko stood frozen behind the five servants, staring at the fallen ninjas with a pale expression.

She had heard countless rumors about the elite ninja’s terrifying discipline, but witnessing several ninjas willingly take their own lives was something entirely different.

Miona eventually took a deep breath, attempting to calm her growing frustration. "Tch! What a fucking waste of time!"

She looked down at the nearest corpse before clicking her tongue again. "Next time, I’m knocking every single one of these bastards unconscious before they even think about biting anything!"

Helena nodded firmly, clearly agreeing with her for once. "Good. And make sure you break their jaws first. I’m not dealing with this nonsense again."

Linsey raised her hand with an innocent grin. "Hehe! Can I help with that next time?"

Miona and Helena immediately turned toward her.

"SHUT UP, LINSEY!"

Linsey blinked before puffing out her cheeks. "What?! I was just trying to help!"

Meanwhile, inside Ranshinkaku, Damian was happily waiting for the performances to begin, looking around the luxurious private room with an excited grin.

However, Cynthia suddenly glanced toward Serina, who responded with a faint nod, seemingly understanding what she meant.

Without saying anything aloud, both women calmly stood up from their seats.

Damian noticed their movements and looked at them curiously. "Huh? Where are you two going? The performances haven’t even started yet."

Serina smiled gently before answering, "Oh, we’re just going to take care of something. Don’t worry about us."

Cynthia calmly adjusted her sleeves and nodded. "We won’t be long, Master. Please enjoy yourself in the meantime."

Damian raised an eyebrow but eventually shrugged, seeing no reason to question them further.

Cassandra, however, immediately understood what the two women were planning.

Within their private [Mind Talk] channel, Serina calmly explained the situation.

[Serina: Cynthia and I will deal with those suspicious figures outside.]

[Cynthia: Their movements have become rather suspicious. It seems they’re preparing to withdraw, so we should intercept them before they disappear.]

[Serina: Cassandra, please remain with Damian while we’re gone.]

[Cassandra: Hehehe! Don’t worry, Serina! I’ll make absolutely sure our darling doesn’t start playing around with any other women while you’re gone!]

[Serina: Fufu, I’ll leave him in your capable hands, then.]

[Cynthia: Please try not to frighten Master too much.]

[Cassandra: Aww... But teasing him is half the fun!]

Serina merely smiled in amusement before ending the conversation and quietly following Cynthia toward the exit.

Meanwhile, Damian suddenly felt an inexplicable chill running down his spine.

He instinctively turned toward Cassandra, only to find her staring at him with an unusually sweet smile. "Uh... Darling? Why are you smiling like that?"

Cassandra casually leaned against his shoulder, her crimson eyes narrowing playfully. "No reason, darling. No reason at all."

Damian stared at her suspiciously for a moment before slowly turning his attention back toward the stage.

For some reason, he suddenly had a bad feeling about the rest of his afternoon.
