Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny
Chapter 410: The Ninjas Forgot About Reverse Stalking
Cynthia and Serina quietly left Ranshinkaku and stepped back into the crowded streets of Hanamiyako.
However, before leaving the building, both women had already changed their clothes and slightly altered their appearances to avoid attracting the attention of the mysterious figures watching from outside.
After all, they didn’t want those stalkers to realize that their targets had already slipped out of the courtesan house.
Cynthia casually glanced toward a nearby rooftop without turning her head. "Just as I suspected. They’re preparing to leave. It seems Ranshinkaku is quite an influential faction."
Serina smiled faintly and nodded in agreement. "Indeed. I noticed that as well. There are actually quite a few powerful cultivators inside that courtesan house."
Cynthia calmly adjusted her sleeves before asking, "So, what should we do now? Should we eliminate them immediately, or would you prefer another approach?"
However, before Serina could answer, she suddenly received a message through their private communication technique.
[Mind Talk]
[Miona: Sis! We found out who those bastards following us are!]
Serina’s expression remained completely unchanged as she calmly responded.
[Serina: Oh? Go on, Miona. I’m listening.]
[Miona: They’re called Yamikarasu! Apparently, they’re members of some famous ninja guild in the Sakura Empire!]
Hearing this, Cynthia immediately became more attentive and silently joined the conversation.
[Miona: We already beat the crap out of the ones following us, but when we tried questioning them, those bastards suddenly bit poison capsules hidden inside their mouths!]
[Miona: Every single one of them killed themselves before we could get anything useful!]
Serina’s eyes narrowed slightly, although her expression remained remarkably calm.
[Serina: All of them? Not even one survived?]
[Miona: Every. Single. One! Those fucking idiots would rather die than answer a few questions!]
Cynthia thought about the information for a moment before calmly joining the discussion.
[Cynthia: Interesting. If they’re trained to commit suicide rather than reveal information, capturing the ones following us here would probably accomplish very little.]
[Miona: Exactly! So if you two decide to capture them, make sure you break their jaws first! Don’t let those bastards bite anything!]
Serina almost laughed upon hearing her younger sister’s rather aggressive suggestion.
[Serina: Fufu, understood, Miona. Thank you for the warning.]
[Miona: Hmph! Just don’t let them get away without learning anything useful!]
Serina smiled gently before ending the communication and turning toward Cynthia. "Well, it seems we’ll have to change our plans."
Cynthia immediately nodded, having already reached the same conclusion. "Understood. Instead of eliminating or capturing them now, we’ll secretly follow them and see where they go, correct?"
Serina’s smile widened slightly, clearly pleased by how quickly Cynthia understood her intentions. "Exactly. Fufu, you really are my kind of girl, Cynthia. I do enjoy working with someone who understands things so quickly."
Cynthia merely sighed softly before giving her a polite nod. "Thank you for the compliment, Mistress Serina."
Serina chuckled at her formal response before casually turning her attention toward the rooftops.
For now, neither woman made any attempt to approach the mysterious figures.
Instead, they quietly blended into the bustling crowd, preparing to follow the assassins without revealing their presence.
---
Several streets away, the mysterious shadowy figures finally began withdrawing from their surveillance positions.
However, what they didn’t realize was that Serina and Cynthia had already started following them.
To their surprise, the ninjas were actually quite skilled at shaking off potential pursuers.
They frequently changed streets, passed through crowded marketplaces, and even entered buildings through one entrance before slipping out through another.
Sometimes, they would suddenly change directions or disappear into narrow alleyways, making their movements extremely difficult to predict.
In short, they deliberately made their route as confusing as possible to prevent anyone from following them.
Unfortunately for them, the person tracking their movements happened to be Cynthia.
As a poison expert and physician, Cynthia possessed an exceptionally sensitive sense of smell, allowing her to detect even the faintest traces of unusual substances.
Earlier, she had noticed a peculiar herbal scent lingering around the ninjas.
Although she couldn’t immediately identify the exact herb responsible for the smell, it was distinctive enough for her to recognize.
Thanks to that faint scent, she could continue tracking their movements even whenever they temporarily disappeared from sight.
Serina glanced toward her with an amused smile. "Fufu, I must say, Cynthia, your abilities are proving rather convenient."
Cynthia calmly nodded. "Thank you, Mistress Serina. Fortunately, these people seem to be carrying some unusual herbs. As long as the scent remains, tracking them shouldn’t be difficult."
With that, the two women continued following the ninjas through the complicated streets of Hanamiyako.
Eventually, after several more twists and turns, the mysterious figures arrived at a relatively quiet section of the city.
There, they approached an ordinary-looking warehouse situated between several old buildings.
After briefly checking their surroundings, the ninjas quietly entered the warehouse and disappeared inside.
Cynthia stopped at a nearby corner and carefully examined the building before turning toward Serina.
"That warehouse is probably either one of their safe houses or a location where they report their missions."
She paused briefly before asking, "So, what should we do now, Mistress Serina? Should we continue observing, or would you prefer to take action?"
Serina looked toward the warehouse for a moment before smiling gently. "Fufu, why don’t we simply go inside? After all, what could they possibly do to us?"
Cynthia raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised by her straightforward suggestion.
Serina continued with an amused expression. "Besides, judging from what we’ve learned, this Yamikarasu Guild seems to operate similarly to an assassin organization."
She gently tapped her chin before adding, "If that’s the case, they probably accept commissions from customers, don’t they?"
Cynthia immediately understood what she was suggesting.
Serina’s smile widened slightly. "So perhaps they’ll be willing to welcome us as potential customers. Wouldn’t that be convenient?"
Cynthia stared at her for a moment before letting out a quiet sigh. "I suppose that’s one way to approach the situation."
Serina chuckled softly, clearly entertained by the idea. "Fufu, exactly. Let’s see just how welcoming these famous ninjas really are."
