Chapter 411: The Assassins Just Sold Themselves Out

Serina and Cynthia calmly walked straight toward the ordinary-looking warehouse, showing absolutely no hesitation.

The moment they entered, they found themselves inside a small, rather unimpressive room with a wooden counter and a middle-aged man lazily reading a book behind it.

Serina casually approached the counter and smiled. "Hello. I’d like to purchase something."

The middle-aged man glanced up from his book and briefly examined the two beautiful women standing before him.

"Ladies, I think you’ve come to the wrong place," he replied casually, returning his attention to his book. "This is just an old warehouse. We don’t sell anything here."

Serina’s smile remained perfectly gentle. "Oh? Is that so?"

Cynthia, who had been standing beside her, quietly stepped aside, seemingly already anticipating what was about to happen.

A moment later, Serina’s smile widened slightly as she casually released a fraction of her terrifying cultivation pressure.

BOOOOM!

The overwhelming aura of a Peak Nascent Soul cultivator instantly filled the small room, causing the surrounding furniture to tremble violently.

The middle-aged man immediately froze, his previously lazy expression disappearing completely. "W-WAIT!"

He instinctively tried to stand, but the terrifying pressure made even moving his body difficult.

Serina simply looked at him with the same gentle smile. "Oh? Is something wrong?"

The man’s face immediately turned pale as he realized that the seemingly harmless woman standing before him was actually a terrifying expert.

He quickly straightened his clothes and bowed respectfully. "M-My apologies, honored guests! I didn’t realize you were here on important business!"

Without wasting another second, he hurriedly pressed a hidden mechanism beneath the wooden counter.

CLICK!

Several concealed formations suddenly flickered to life, and the seemingly ordinary room began transforming before their eyes.

Hidden doors appeared along the walls, while several masked figures became visible deeper inside the building.

Only after seeing this did Serina calmly withdraw her cultivation pressure.

The middle-aged man immediately released a long breath of relief, discreetly wiping the cold sweat from his forehead.

He then forced a professional smile onto his face. "W-Welcome, honored guests, to one of the branches of Yamikarasu!"

Cynthia raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by the sudden change in his attitude. "That was rather quick."

The man coughed awkwardly, pretending not to notice her remark. "Ahem! Now then, esteemed ladies, how may our organization assist you today?"

Serina gracefully took a seat in front of the counter before smiling curiously. "Well, I’m rather interested in your organization. Could you tell me exactly what Yamikarasu is capable of doing?"

Hearing her question, the man’s confidence gradually returned.

He straightened his posture and smiled professionally. "Almost anything, honored guest."

He spread his hands before continuing, "Tracking, information gathering, sabotage, kidnapping, assassination... You name it, and we can arrange it."

His smile widened proudly. "As long as you’re willing to pay the appropriate price, there’s very little that Yamikarasu cannot accomplish."

Cynthia calmly folded her arms before asking, "And what about confidentiality? How reliable is your organization when it comes to protecting information about your clients?"

The middle-aged man chuckled confidently, seemingly finding her question rather amusing. "Lady, we’re ninjas."

He tapped the dark mask hanging beside his counter before continuing with a knowing smile. "Keeping our mouths shut is practically part of the profession."

Serina smiled gently, clearly satisfied with his explanation. "Wonderful. That’s exactly what we were hoping to hear."

She casually placed a pouch filled with spirit stones on the wooden counter before continuing. "Well then, we’d like to purchase some information about a certain man."

The middle-aged man glanced toward the pouch, his expression immediately becoming more professional.

"Information gathering, huh? Certainly, honored guests. May I ask for the man’s name and his current whereabouts?"

Serina shook her head slightly. "Unfortunately, we don’t know what name he’s currently using, but we can provide you with a description of his appearance."

The man nodded and prepared to listen carefully. "Of course. Please go ahead."

Serina gently tapped her chin before beginning her explanation. "He’s a foreign man, relatively tall, with a handsome face and a rather shameless, somewhat perverted expression."

She paused briefly before adding, "As for his recent whereabouts, he entered Hanamiyako not long ago, accompanied by a rather ridiculous number of beautiful women."

Cynthia calmly stepped forward and added, "That’s right. One man traveling with twelve women. Surely, such an unusual group should be rather easy to identify."

The middle-aged man suddenly paused.

For some reason, that description sounded strangely familiar.

However, before he could think any further, Serina released a soft, helpless sigh.

"You see, that man is actually a horrible womanizer who abandoned the two of us after playing with our feelings."

She lowered her gaze slightly, putting on an expression of sorrow and disappointment.

"We’ve been searching for him ever since. Naturally, we want a little revenge, but before we can do anything, we need to find out where he’s staying and what he’s been doing."

Cynthia placed one hand on the wooden counter and nodded seriously, maintaining her usual calm expression.

"Exactly. We simply want information about his movements, his current location, and anyone he might be associated with."

She then looked directly at the middle-aged man before asking politely, "Your organization specializes in gathering information, correct? Surely, something like this shouldn’t be too difficult for you."

Serina smiled sweetly beside her, patiently waiting for his response.

The middle-aged man stared at the two women for a moment before slowly nodding, his expression becoming somewhat thoughtful.

"Actually... Now that I think about it, we might already have some information about the person you’re looking for."

Hearing this, both women’s eyes immediately sharpened with interest.

Cynthia raised an eyebrow and asked, "Oh? You already have information about him?"

The man nodded confidently. "Yes. Coincidentally, another client recently approached our organization and requested that we gather information about a man matching your description."

He paused briefly before continuing, "A handsome foreigner traveling with twelve beautiful women. Such an unusual group is rather difficult to mistake for someone else."

Serina and Cynthia exchanged a quick glance, immediately understanding what his words implied.

After all, they had come here precisely to investigate the mysterious people following Damian’s group.

Yet now, the man behind the counter had practically confirmed that someone had already hired Yamikarasu to investigate their darling master.

The two women looked at each other for another moment before simultaneously smiling.
