Chapter 417: The Wind Dragon Wants to Play!

Once both sides had gathered near the edge of the Sacred Arena, Damian casually turned toward the women standing behind him. "Alright, ladies! Who wants to go first?"

Before anyone else could respond, Linsey’s hand immediately shot into the air. "ME! ME! ME!"

Damian looked at her excited expression before bursting into laughter. "Hahaha! Of course you’re the first one volunteering! I should’ve known!"

Linsey grinned proudly and pointed toward herself. "Obviously, Master! I’ve been waiting for this! There’s no way I’m letting someone else have all the fun!"

Miona immediately frowned and crossed her arms. "Tch! You’re way too excited! I wanted to go first and beat those idiots into the ground!"

Linsey stuck out her tongue playfully. "Hehehe! Too slow, Miona! You should’ve raised your hand faster!"

Miona’s eyebrow twitched. "You little...!"

Cassandra giggled at their exchange before wrapping an arm around Damian’s waist. "Darling, why don’t you let me go first instead? I promise I’ll make their deaths absolutely beautiful!"

Damian immediately shook his head with an amused grin. "Hell no! If I let you go first, there might not be anyone left for the others!"

Cassandra pouted playfully. "Aww, darling! You’re no fun!"

Damian shook his head helplessly before casually waving toward the enormous arena. "Alright, alright! Linsey, you can go first!"

However, his expression became slightly more serious as he looked directly at her. "Just remember, Linsey. Show those bastards what our side is capable of, alright?"

Linsey’s grin immediately widened with excitement. "Uhehehe! Leave it to me, Master! I’ll give them a performance they’ll never forget!"

With that, she happily skipped toward the arena, looking more like someone heading to a festival than a cultivator preparing for a life-and-death battle.

Damian watched her retreating figure with an amused smile.

At that moment, a familiar System panel suddenly appeared before his eyes.

Seeing her current status, Damian couldn’t help smiling with satisfaction.

After all, thanks to the numerous gifts and cultivation resources he had continuously provided, Linsey had already successfully broken through into the Nascent Soul Realm.

Although her Body-Qi-Soul Foundation was currently only at Mid Grade, Damian wasn’t particularly worried about it.

After all, she had only recently entered the Nascent Soul Realm and was still far from reaching its peak.

There was plenty of room for her to strengthen her Body, Qi, and Soul before eventually attempting to break through into the King Realm.

More importantly, her actual combat strength was far greater than her cultivation realm suggested.

Not only did she possess powerful Dragon Physique and Bloodline abilities, but Damian had also given her a formidable King Grade weapon.

With such advantages, even facing a Peak Nascent Soul cultivator wouldn’t necessarily be a problem for her.

Damian casually crossed his arms, his smile gradually turning into a confident grin.

"Hehehe... Those idiots are probably going to underestimate her because she’s only at the First Stage Nascent Soul Realm."

He chuckled inwardly as he watched Linsey enter the battlefield.

"Well, that’s their problem. Let’s see how they handle my little Wind Dragon!"

---

On the opposite side of the arena, Masaru suddenly stepped forward, his expression filled with determination.

Masanori glanced toward him and raised an eyebrow. "Masaru, are you certain you want to go first?"

Masaru nodded firmly, his expression hardening as he looked toward the battlefield. "Yes, Taishō. This entire matter began because of me, so it’s only right that I take responsibility."

He placed one hand on the hilt of his katana before continuing. "Since I’m the one who brought this humiliation upon our guild, I’ll be the first to fight and reclaim our honor!"

Masanori studied him for a moment before finally nodding in approval. "Very well. Go and show those outsiders the strength of the Kurogane Samurai Guild."

Masaru respectfully bowed before turning around and walking toward the arena.

Soon, he stopped directly across from Linsey, his hand resting firmly on the hilt of his katana.

However, the moment Linsey recognized his face, her eyes immediately lit up with excitement. "Ohhh! It’s you! Hahaha! What a coincidence!"

Masaru’s expression instantly darkened upon hearing her cheerful voice. "Watch your mouth, woman! Do not mock me!"

Linsey tilted her head innocently before blinking at him with a mischievous smile. "Huh? But I wasn’t mocking you..."

She paused for a moment before her grin widened. "...Yet! Hehehe!"

Masaru’s eyebrow immediately twitched in anger, while Linsey simply giggled at his reaction, clearly enjoying herself before the battle had even begun.

His grip tightened around his katana as he recalled the humiliation he had suffered at the hot springs.

"You insolent woman!" Masaru snarled, his killing intent surging. "Do you think I’ll let another woman humiliate me again?!"

Linsey merely blinked before flashing him another cheeky grin. "Hahaha! Why are you so angry already? We haven’t even started!"

Masaru gritted his teeth, veins bulging across his forehead. "Laugh while you still can! Once this battle begins, I’ll make you regret every word!"

Meanwhile, Raika was sitting comfortably in one of the Sacred Arena’s exclusive private viewing sections, having easily secured a seat thanks to her clan’s considerable influence.

From her elevated position, she had an excellent view of the entire battlefield.

Her gaze casually moved toward Masaru before settling on Linsey, who was standing across from him with an excited grin.

However, the moment Raika examined Linsey’s appearance more closely, she suddenly paused. "Hmm...?"

Her cold expression shifted slightly as she narrowed her eyes in confusion. "Why does that girl look so familiar? Where have I seen her before?"

Raika rubbed her chin thoughtfully, trying to recall where she might have encountered the cheerful-looking woman.

Unfortunately, nothing immediately came to mind.

After thinking about it for another moment, she eventually shook her head and returned her attention to the arena. "Whatever. I’ll think about it later."

After all, the battle was about to begin, and she was rather curious to see how this mysterious foreign woman would fare against a senior member of the Kurogane Samurai Guild.
