Chapter 419: When the Quiet Wife Wants Blood

The moment Masaru’s lifeless body hit the ground, the atmosphere on the opposing side became considerably heavier.

Several members of the Kurogane Samurai Guild stared at his corpse in disbelief, while Masanori’s expression turned extremely ugly.

After all, Masaru had been a Sixth Stage Nascent Soul cultivator and one of their senior Gokenin.

Yet despite possessing such formidable cultivation, he had been killed by a woman who was merely at the First Stage Nascent Soul Realm.

Worse still, Linsey hadn’t even appeared to be taking the battle particularly seriously.

Masanori clenched his jaw, his gaze darkening as he stared at the cheerful Wind Dragon. "Damn it... That useless fool actually got himself killed."

Beside him, the Yamikarasu leader narrowed his eyes coldly.

What irritated him even more was that the weapons Linsey had used to kill Masaru were originally from his own organization.

Not only had she stolen their weapons, but she had even used them to humiliate their allies in front of thousands of spectators.

Finally, the masked leader stepped forward and spoke in a cold voice. "The next fighter will come from Yamikarasu."

Almost immediately, a masked ninja silently appeared beside him.

The ninja gave a brief bow before his figure suddenly vanished into the shadows.

A moment later, he reappeared in the center of the Sacred Arena, standing motionlessly as though he had been there all along.

Unlike the previous ninjas Damian’s group had encountered, this one radiated the unmistakable aura of a high-stage Nascent Soul cultivator.

Meanwhile, Damian casually turned toward the women standing behind him. "Alright, ladies. Who wants the second round?"

Miona immediately stepped forward, cracking her knuckles with an eager grin. "Let me handle this one."

However, Linsey, who was still returning from the arena, immediately raised her hand. "Hey, Master! I can fight again, you know!"

Helena rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "That’s not how this works, idiot. You already had your turn."

Linsey puffed out her cheeks in disappointment. "Tch. What a waste. I was just getting warmed up."

Cassandra suddenly wrapped an arm around Damian’s shoulder, her crimson eyes gleaming with excitement. "Hehehe. How about letting me go this time, darling? I promise I’ll make it entertaining."

Damian chuckled, clearly amused by how enthusiastically everyone was volunteering.

However, before he could make his decision, a quiet figure suddenly walked past them.

It was Evelyn.

Without saying a word, she calmly stepped toward the battlefield.

Damian blinked in surprise. "Huh? Evelyn?"

Evelyn stopped briefly before turning her head toward him.

Her expression remained as cold and indifferent as ever. "It’s been a while since I last fought."

After saying that, she simply turned around and continued walking.

For a moment, the entire group fell strangely silent. Even Damian looked slightly surprised.

After all, Evelyn was practically the ice queen of their group.

Unlike Linsey and Miona, who actively sought out fights whenever possible, she rarely volunteered for anything unless it was necessary.

She usually preferred to remain quiet, observe the situation, and let the others create all the chaos.

Yet now, she had actually stepped forward on her own initiative.

Miona raised an eyebrow. "Huh. Didn’t expect that."

Helena nodded slowly, looking equally surprised. "Well, that’s rare."

Cynthia calmly adjusted her sleeves before offering her observation. "It appears Evelyn has finally grown tired of watching everyone else enjoy themselves."

Serina gently covered her mouth, an amused smile appearing on her face. "Fufu. Even our quiet little Evelyn wants to have some fun occasionally."

Cassandra giggled mischievously. "Hehehe. How adorable. Our ice queen is finally getting impatient."

Linsey immediately burst into laughter before cupping her hands around her mouth. "HAHAHA! Evelyn, are you jealous because I got to fight first?"

Evelyn didn’t even bother turning around. "No."

Linsey’s grin widened as she continued teasing her. "Uhehehe. Come on, just admit it. You wanted to show off in front of Master too, didn’t you?"

Evelyn continued walking without changing her expression. "You’re noisy."

That only made Linsey laugh harder.

Damian watched the exchange before shaking his head with an amused smile. "Hehehe. Well, if Evelyn wants to fight, then Evelyn it is."

Meanwhile, Evelyn had already reached the entrance to the Sacred Arena, completely ignoring the teasing voices behind her.

Her pale eyes settled on the masked ninja waiting in the distance. Without another word, she calmly stepped onto the battlefield.

Meanwhile, Raika remained frozen in her private viewing seat, her eyes fixed on Linsey as she finally remembered where she had seen that familiar face. "Wait a minute... That girl. Isn’t she Junior Sister Linsey?"

Raika’s cold expression shifted into genuine surprise.

After all, Linsey was also one of the inner disciples of the Heavenly Sword Sect.

Even back then, her reputation among the younger generation had been quite impressive, with her fame only slightly below that of Raika and Akane.

However, that wasn’t what shocked Raika the most. What truly left her speechless was Linsey’s current cultivation realm.

’First Stage Nascent Soul Realm? How is that possible?’

Raika clearly remembered that when Linsey was still at the Heavenly Sword Sect, she had only been a Foundation Establishment cultivator.

Yet now, the same girl had somehow reached the Nascent Soul Realm.

Worse still, her cultivation had already surpassed Raika’s own.

’This doesn’t make any sense. It hasn’t even been a year since she left the Heavenly Sword Sect!’

Raika frowned deeply, trying to understand how such an enormous advancement could possibly happen in such a short time.

Even an exceptionally talented genius would struggle to achieve something so ridiculous.

Not to mention, Linsey had just effortlessly killed a Sixth Stage Nascent Soul cultivator despite being five stages below him.

Raika slowly leaned forward, her eyes narrowing as she stared at the cheerful Wind Dragon.

’Just what the hell happened to you, Linsey?’

However, another question quickly surfaced in her mind.

’And more importantly... why the hell are you here in the Sakura Empire?’

Raika’s gaze shifted toward the group of foreigners standing near the arena, her curiosity growing even stronger.
