Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny
Chapter 418: The Samurai Got Out-Ninja’d
The moment the battle began, Masaru immediately took the initiative.
After all, he was a Sixth Stage Nascent Soul cultivator, while Linsey was merely at the First Stage Nascent Soul Realm.
With such a considerable difference in cultivation, he was confident that defeating her wouldn’t be difficult.
He lowered his stance, one hand gripping his sheath while the other rested firmly on the hilt of his katana.
[Flash Draw]
In one smooth motion, his katana flashed out of its sheath as he stepped forward, sending a swift slash directly toward Linsey’s neck.
However, Linsey merely smiled.
She casually bent backward, allowing the sharp blade to pass just above her nose, missing her face by a hair’s breadth.
Masaru immediately rotated his wrist, redirecting his katana into a downward slash aimed at her exposed body.
Linsey reacted just as quickly.
A burst of wind erupted from her palm, pushing her sideways and allowing her to slip out of the blade’s path.
However, Masaru had no intention of giving her any breathing room.
He quickly twisted his waist, using the momentum of his previous attack to launch another sword technique.
[Returning Moon Slash]
His katana swept horizontally toward Linsey, its sharp edge slicing through the air with frightening speed.
Linsey leaned backward once again, placing one hand against the ground to support herself.
As the blade passed above her, she suddenly kicked both legs upward, using the momentum to flip backward and completely evade the attack.
"Tch."
Masaru clicked his tongue in irritation as his katana struck nothing but empty air.
Meanwhile, Linsey landed lightly several meters away, looking completely unbothered by his relentless attacks. "Hehehe. Not bad, not bad."
She giggled before casually reaching into her spatial ring.
Masaru narrowed his eyes, expecting her to finally draw her weapon.
However, the moment Linsey pulled something out, both he and several Yamikarasu ninjas watching from the sidelines were stunned.
What appeared in her hands weren’t swords, daggers, or any conventional weapons.
They were shurikens.
More specifically, they were the very shurikens Linsey had looted from the Yamikarasu ninjas who had previously attempted to assassinate her group.
Masaru immediately frowned upon recognizing the distinctive weapons. "Those... How do you have those shurikens?"
Linsey blinked innocently before raising one of the weapons between her fingers. "Oh, these?"
She casually twirled the shuriken around her finger, looking rather pleased with herself. "Hehehe. I stole them from those sneaky ninjas who tried to kill me a few days ago."
She proudly displayed the remaining shurikens in her other hand. "Pretty neat, aren’t they? I figured it’d be a waste to throw away perfectly good weapons."
Masaru’s expression immediately stiffened.
Meanwhile, on the Yamikarasu side, several masked ninjas exchanged startled glances.
Their leader’s eyes narrowed dangerously beneath his mask.
Although they had already suspected that Damian’s women were responsible for destroying their branch, Linsey’s casual admission now confirmed that she had personally encountered and fought their members.
His gaze settled coldly on the shurikens in her hands, his voice filled with killing intent. "So it really was them..."
Linsey smiled mischievously as she lowered her stance and flicked both wrists.
[Dancing Swallow]
Three shurikens shot forward, curving through the air from different angles.
Masaru immediately stepped sideways, avoiding the first two with practiced ease.
However, just as he prepared to dodge the third, its trajectory suddenly changed.
Under Linsey’s precise wind control, the shuriken curved sharply through the air, approaching from an angle he hadn’t anticipated.
Masaru’s eyes widened as he hurriedly twisted his body, but he was a fraction of a second too late.
The shuriken sliced across his shoulder, leaving a bloody wound before flying past him.
Masaru immediately touched his injured shoulder, his expression twisting with anger as he noticed the blood staining his fingers. "You bitch. How dare you wound me!"
Linsey merely giggled, casually twirling another shuriken between her fingers. "Hehehe. What’s wrong? I thought you were supposed to be stronger than me."
Masaru’s grip tightened around his katana as he rushed forward, determined to wipe that irritating grin off her face.
[Seven Falling Blades]
His katana flashed seven times in rapid succession, each strike flowing directly into the next.
The first slash targeted Linsey’s shoulder, followed by a diagonal cut toward her waist.
The remaining attacks descended from different angles, forming a relentless combination designed to leave her with nowhere to escape.
However, Linsey didn’t retreat.
Instead, she slipped between the attacks with tiny, precise steps, twisting her shoulders and hips just enough to avoid each incoming blade.
Her Royal Grade Tornado Dragon Physique made every movement unnaturally light and explosive, allowing her to change direction with astonishing speed.
As the seventh slash descended, Linsey suddenly ducked beneath it. At the same moment, a kunai appeared in each of her hands.
[Whirling Gale Dance]
A faint current of wind wrapped around her body as she stepped inside Masaru’s sword reach.
Her first kunai flashed toward his wrist, cutting across the exposed skin before he could pull his katana back.
Her second kunai immediately followed, scraping along his side and leaving another bloody wound.
Masaru gritted his teeth but refused to retreat.
Instead, he violently swung his elbow toward Linsey’s face, attempting to crush her at close range.
Linsey leaned aside, allowing the elbow to pass inches from her cheek.
She then spun around his body and delivered a sharp kick behind his knee.
Thud!
Masaru’s leg buckled slightly, throwing his balance off for half a second.
For an ordinary cultivator, such a brief opening might have been meaningless.
For Linsey, however, it was more than enough.
She immediately jumped backward, creating some distance before throwing four kunai simultaneously.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Masaru quickly raised his katana, deflecting the first two kunai with consecutive strikes.
The remaining two flew past him and struck the ground several steps behind him.
Seeing this, Masaru couldn’t help sneering. "Hmph. You missed."
However, Linsey’s mischievous grin only widened. "Uhehehe. Are you sure?"
Before Masaru could understand what she meant, Linsey suddenly snapped her fingers.
[Gale Thread Reversal]
The wind surrounding the two embedded kunai suddenly surged.
With a sharp whistle, both weapons tore themselves free from the ground and spun backward, shooting toward Masaru from behind.
His eyes widened as he sensed the approaching danger. "What?!"
He immediately tried to turn around, but the attack was already upon him.
One kunai flew past his shoulder, while the other buried itself deep into the side of his neck.
Puchi!
Blood immediately spurted from the wound.
Masaru staggered forward, his free hand instinctively reaching toward his neck. "G-Gah..."
However, Linsey had absolutely no intention of giving him a chance to recover.
Whoosh!
A sudden gust of wind erupted beneath her feet, and her figure disappeared from where she stood.
In the next instant, she appeared directly in front of the staggering Masaru with a kunai on her hand. "Hehehe. Gotcha."
Without hesitation, Linsey drove the sharp blade upward beneath his jaw.
Puchi!
The kunai pierced through his head, killing him instantly.
Masaru’s body stiffened for a brief moment before his katana slipped from his fingers.
Clang!
His lifeless body collapsed onto the arena floor, blood slowly spreading beneath him.
Just like that, the Sixth Stage Nascent Soul cultivator who had confidently entered the arena to reclaim his guild’s honor was dead.
Linsey casually withdrew her kunai before looking down at his corpse. "Hmm. That was pretty fun."
She nodded to herself with a satisfied smile before suddenly turning toward Damian.
Her expression immediately brightened as she enthusiastically waved her hand. "Master, Master! I won!"
Damian, who had been watching the entire battle with an amused expression, couldn’t help grinning proudly. "Hehehe. Good job, Linsey. Just as expected of my little Wind Dragon!"
Hearing his praise, Linsey puffed out her chest proudly, her grin growing even wider. "Uhehehe. Of course, Master!"
