Villain's Refund System: The Protagonist's Harem Is Mine
Chapter 110 New Walls, Old Claim
The dormitory office opened after sunset, carrying six room keys, twelve housing rules, and one preemptive surrender notice.
Damien entered with five girls around him, while Aurelia waited beneath the separate royal dormitory seal.
"The Academy provides individual rooms," she said, touching the first rule, "shared arrangements require approval."
Raven lifted a key, tested its weight, and pointed toward the nearest training tower.
"I require a room near Damien," she said, swinging the key around one finger, "rematches need short travel."
"Your room is in the combat annex," the officer replied, checking the roster, "the distance is deliberate."
Raven leaned toward Damien, her cracked horn catching the corridor light.
"The walls are a challenge," she said, pressing her shoulder against his, "I accept the architecture."
Vivienne took the key from Raven before it could become a projectile.
"You are not breaking dormitory walls," she said, placing the key on the counter, "we have been here one hour."
"I have not broken one yet," Raven replied, watching Damien, "the evening remains young."
The officer assigned Vivienne across from Damien, Yuki one floor above, Raven in the annex, Shizuka near the service stair, and Seraphina three corridors away.
Seraphina read the final placement, then looked at the officer with her public saint's smile.
"This arrangement separates the household's security line," she said, touching Damien's wrist, "I request review."
"The arrangement follows housing regulations," the officer replied, keeping her hand near the surrender notice, "the first review already failed."
"How did a saint lose a room dispute," he asked, watching her glove, "the paperwork usually kneels first."
Seraphina turned toward him, then placed one red thread across the housing counter.
"The first review used ordinary regulations," she said, smiling at the officer, "the second review uses witnesses."
The first witness was Vivienne, who placed her hand over Damien's.
"The household requires a central guard position," Vivienne said, looking at the roster, "Seraphina belongs beside him."
Yuki lifted her slate from above Damien's room, then added a temperature concern beneath Seraphina's name.
"The eastern corridor loses heat at night," she said, touching Damien's scarred palm, "the saint's room needs proximity."
Shizuka appeared beside the housing ledger, then placed four black notes across the officer's open page.
The notes listed every corridor shadow, every blind corner, and one service door that had no lock.
The officer read the list, then looked toward Seraphina's requested room beside Damien's.
"This violates the private-room rule," she said, touching the final line, "the rule exists for safety."
Seraphina leaned close to Damien, her cheek brushing his shoulder beneath the dormitory relay.
"I am safest when I can reach him," she said, keeping her eyes on the officer, "the rule has met its exception."
Damien felt her fingers tighten around his wrist, warm beneath the white cloth.
"The rule has met a saint," he said, looking at the surrender notice, "the housing office should choose survival."
Her face changed when she found an old clause allowing adjacent rooms for bonded security pairs.
Seraphina produced the required signatures before the officer finished reading.
"The room beside Damien is approved," she said, stamping the page, "the housing office accepts the exception."
Seraphina took the new key, then pressed it against Damien's palm beside the old scar.
"Our walls touch," she whispered, kissing his knuckles, "the Academy has finally learned security."
"Please avoid turning the wall into a chapel," he said, meeting her eyes, "the faculty is fragile."
"The wall will become whatever protects you," Seraphina replied, keeping the key between their hands, "the faculty may adapt."
The system panel opened above the room keys, recording the saint's victory against the regulations.
[Dormitory placement: disputed, round two]
[Seraphina Bright: adjacent room approved]
[Bonded security clause: activated]
[Housing office: surrendered preemptively]
[System note: The saint won the room. The regulations are reconsidering their faith.]
Damien's room stood at the center, Vivienne's across the hall, Yuki above, Seraphina beside him, and Raven's annex door facing the courtyard.
Shizuka received the service stair room, though no student saw her accept its key.
The first note appeared beneath his pillow before the room's brazier finished warming.
{The wall has three cavities, two old pipes, one listening space.}
"You have migrated before unpacking," he said, touching Shizuka's shadow, "the dormitory has lost its privacy."
Shizuka placed another black note beneath his hand on the table.
{Privacy is not required, consent is.}
The distinction settled his concern, while her fingers remained against his for one quiet breath.
Notes emerged beside Vivienne's room, through Yuki's ceiling, and from one suspiciously cooperative drain.
Vivienne read hers aloud from across the hall, keeping one hand on her sword belt.
"The west stair carries footsteps after midnight," she said, looking toward Damien, "Shizuka has marked the route."
Yuki's note arrived through the ceiling, carrying a temperature chart beside three warnings about cold stone.
"The upper room loses heat through the western wall," Yuki said, leaning over the railing, "I will adjust the brazier."
He touched her fingers, while her frost circle stopped one inch from his doorway.
"The room has a direct measurement path," Yuki said, holding his hand through the gap, "the result is favorable."
Yuki's ears colored, then her hand withdrew with the warmth stone she had left beside his palm.
Raven arrived through the courtyard window carrying a calendar, two ink pots, and a ladder she had not requested.
She pinned the calendar to Damien's wall, then marked every sunrise with a red slash.
"The rematch schedule is official," Raven announced, pointing at the dates, "the combat dean signed it."
{Raven Darkhold versus Damien Sterling, supervised practice.}
"You scheduled every dawn," he said, touching the first red mark, "sleep has filed an appeal."
"The appeal can fight me," Raven replied, placing her forehead against his, "I will grant it a fair chance."
She kissed him once, then climbed back through the window before Vivienne could object to the ladder.
Vivienne entered through the proper door, carrying a folded dormitory map beneath one arm.
"The combat dean signed a second schedule," she said, setting the map beside Raven's calendar, "your sword practice occurs after breakfast."
"The Academy has built a timetable around my injuries," Damien replied, looking at the map, "this feels legally suspicious."
Vivienne placed the map against his chest, then adjusted the silver clasp beneath his throat.
"Your injuries are registered," she said, keeping her fingers at his collar, "your recovery is my department."
The touch stayed charged beneath the new room's blue relay, while Shizuka's note slipped between their hands.
{The calendar has seventeen hidden additions.}
Vivienne read the note, then looked toward the wall.
"Raven has added seventeen rematches," she said, lifting one brow, "the schedule is under review."
Seraphina entered Damien's adjacent room, then opened the shared wall door installed under the bonded security clause.
Seraphina stood across the opening, holding her new key, while Damien remained in his room.
"The wall has an authorized passage," she said, stepping close, "I won the second review completely."
Damien took her hand across the threshold, keeping the movement private beneath the warded door.
"You won a room beside mine," he replied, touching her cheek, "do not claim the whole corridor."
Seraphina kissed him slowly, then rested her forehead against his.
"The corridor may keep its paperwork," she whispered, smiling at his mouth, "I have the important room."
The shared door closed, leaving both rooms inside one approved security line.
The Half-Eye Token warmed beneath Damien's shirt, while Aurelia's separate dormitory remained beyond the circle.
The dormitory settled after midnight, except for notes moving through walls, calendars gaining red marks, and Raven challenging a staircase.
Shizuka's shadow returned from the outer gate carrying a sealed enrollment list.
She placed the list on Damien's desk, then arranged three black notes beside it.
The first note named false students entering under borrowed house names, with rooms marked beside them.
The old crusade insignia appeared beneath their cuffs in Shizuka's final note.
"The crusade remnant has crossed the Academy gate," he said, reading the first alias, "they came quietly."
Shizuka shook her head once, then turned the list around for him.
The names had been arranged alphabetically by their true identities, with the false names written beneath each one.
She tapped the first line, then placed one final note beside Damien's hand.
{They enrolled under false names, already listed alphabetized.}
The system panel opened above the dormitory desk, while the new walls carried one last shadow beyond the ward.
[Dormitory life: active]
[Raven's rematch calendar: official, daily entries]
[Shizuka's notes: migrating through approved walls]
[Seraphina's room claim: won against housing rules]
[New arrivals: crusade remnant, identities concealed]
[Shizuka's file: true names alphabetized]
[System note: The walls are new. The old claim has found them.]
Damien placed the false-name list inside his quiet file, while Shizuka's shadow remained beneath the door.
Beyond the circular wing, three new students entered under borrowed names, carrying the old crusade's claim into the Academy.
